+ -1 moreThe inspector arrived at property late and without a camera. Yes... he did not bring his camera. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and allowed him to purchase a camera. He bought the cheapest one he could and continued with the inspection. While he did find problems with the electrical box. He did not find major defects with the foundation, insufficient attic insulation, and broken garage doors. Total cost of repairs over $15000.00 would not recommend this provider to anyone. Be careful when choosing an inspector. This guy was focused on finding little things but not major defects which is just the opposite of what I was concerned with. I am not sure if he even entered the attic.

+ -1 moreHe did come back and correct the problem and stated that he was surprised that the inspector missed it. I've not had another problem with that since then.
Description of Work: I moved in to a condo but had major rehab done prior to moving in. I then had it inspected by Meridian. Initially there appeared that only minor repairs needed attention, like a leak in a pipe, etc. The seller deducted for those as they were very minor. The purchase of the property was completed based on that inspection. We paid more than $300 for an inspection. After I moved in I noticed there were no smoke alarms(which had not been noted)and then I began to have electrical problems. Fuses would blow when I used more than one appliance at a time. I couldn t wash close and use the toaster at the same time. I had one electrical repair and he thought he fixed it. He repaired a split in a wire that actually had been noted in the inspection report however it didn t fix the problem. I had to have the guy who originally did the electrical work come back and he found a fuse that was so faulty, it could have created a fire. He advised I not use any appliances until he properly replaced that fuse.

+ -1 moreThey were very thorough as well as patient. They did a great job with home inspection services. We actually have used them multiple times. Because of their inspection skills, we did not buy the first 2 homes inspected. Price is based off of a single inspection.
