The salesman who helped me was very nice. His name was Richard. I asked them to install the carpet for me and I had to pay $35 up-front without even given an appointment with the installer who was to come out to my home and take measurements. This installer's name was Keller. this installer was supposed to call me to set up a time to take measurements and never did! I contacted Lowe's 3-4 times to ask when were these people going to call me. Lowe's made an attempt to contact this contractor that they use and still...no call after 5 days.I finally had to ask Lowe's if they could just give me a different contractor to install my carpet. They said yes and I am hoping they will call me tomorrow to set up an appointment for measurements. If you go to Lowe's to buy carpet and you opt to have them do the installation, be warned that they use sub-contractors to do that.Do not have KELLER do your install. This is the worst customer service I have dealt with in years. The actual salesman at Lowe's was great (Richard), and the lady in installed sales at Lowe's (her name is Summer), were both very nice and helpful in trying to get this resolved. They just need to get rid of this sub-contractor.

We are very happy with their service. We purchased the washer and dryer two weeks ago, all the kitchen appliances will be here on Friday, and we also bought all our new doors, which will be here at the end of April. The Lowe’s here in Carmel has been excellent. All our appliances have been with them. The only complaint we have is with Lowe’s, not in Carmel but the one by Castleton, Indianapolis. The service there was absolutely embarrassing. The service department that particular day was kind of arguing with each other so something must have affected that person. So we did not hold that against Lowe’s at all. They maybe need to check that particular department out, at that particular location. We were trying to choose new doors and the gentleman there was extremely rude to us. Obviously, he was anxious to go home and he was not a help to us at all. We did not put the order with him. That was a mistake to go there so we came back to Lowe’s here in Carmel. That is the only complaint we have ever had about Lowe’s. The people in Carmel Lowe’s were so helpful. We are kind of on a first name basis with them; they have been very helpful in the appliance department, in the window-door department. They have just been tremendous. We were just so disappointed with the other Lowe's service and we knew that was just there. We just happened to go that particular store to find out information because we were in the area. For both washer and dryer it was about $3000, the kitchen appliances came to $6000 or $7000 and the doors that were ordered came to $9700.

Pretty smooth process. We worked with Donna in Kitchen Cabinet Dept. to select the cabinets. Provided measurements and she helped us configure the best arrangement for the space. She was professional and responsive. The cabinets arrived without damage (which I have heard can be one of the biggest problems people run into). Installation went very smoothly. Would recommend researching before you set an appt. and having a good idea of the design and look you'd like for your kitchen.
Description of Work: Worked with kitchen cabinet department to select and order kitchen cabinets. We also contracted installation services through Lowe's installers.

I went in with the intention of buying a Bosch, but was talked out of it by the KitchenAide/Whirlpool Sales Rep who happened to be there that fateful morning. After purchasing the machine, three year extended warranty, and paying for installation, the bill came to $921.18 For 2 months it worked fine. Then, on November the 25th (the day after Thanksgiving) it quit in mid-cycle. On the 26th my husband called Lowes, told them the problem, and was told to call back on Monday to make a repair appointment. On 11/ 28, I called Lowes, told them the problem, and they said someone would call me later that day to make a repair appointment. Later that day, Duvall's repair service called (Their # is 317-856-8502). When I told the repair man my problem he said "Oh I know exactly what's wrong with it---you're the 6th caller with the same complaint! It's a fuse in the machine." He couldn't come to my home until December 5th, and when he did come he confirmed the problem was, indeed, the fuse, but he didn't have one on board (even though he'd told me a week ago that the fuse was my problem) and would have to order it and he'd return the next day and install it. After hearing nothing back from Duvall's I called the Lowes store that I bought it at and spoke with the appliance manager (William), complaining that I had been without a dishwasher for almost two weeks (at the busiest time for a mom season--the Holidays) and wanted a replacement. I was then rudely told that their policy was to repair it only; not replace it- no matter how new or expensive it was or how long my extended warranty was. He then proceeded to lecture me about dishwashers and how they couldn't possibly replace every one that had something wrong with it when I'd had enough and asked to speak to the store manager (Matt Krebs). I was cheerfully told that he was on vacation for the rest of the week. I called Lowes corporate; repeated my story three times to three different people (by now I had spent almost three hours on the phone), was told that all they would do was repair it and "put a rush" on the part. Duvall's calls later in the day says part will be here in 4 days max. The part (fuse) and the repair man finally showed up on the THIRTEENTH of December. I used the dishwasher twice before it stopped again in mid cycle, no lights, no movement--completely broken down.It was December 15th. I called back Lowes Corporate (who said they'd get back to me) then Duvalls who told me they'd order another fuse. I heard nothing from Duvall's or Lowes corporate; had no working dishwasher despite the fact that it was brand new and that I had paid almost $1,000.00 fir it. On January 9th, Duvall's calls and says that after talking to Whirlpool/KitchenAide they decided to replace the control panel and will deliver it to me tomorrow. On January 10th, Duvall's calls and says that the replacement part is broken and they'll have to re-order it. I hear nothing so after a week I call Lowes Corporate, speak to Julie (866-284-8989) on January 16th and am very angry and frustrated by their total lack of concern and their horrible customer service. I ask again for a replacement. She could care less. On the 17th Julie leaves me a message on my voice mail saying she called KitchenAide and they refuse to replace the dishwasher. She also called Duvall's who told her they had the part and were waiting for my phone call to schedule delivery (which was news to me). I immediately called Duvall's who told me they do NOT have the part; I called and left Julie a voice message stating so. On the 18th Duvall's calls and says they have the part and will install it tomorrow. On the 19th Chris from Duvall's comes and replaces panel, runs empty dishwasher through cycle. I use it twice; on the 24th it quits mid-cycle. I leave message for Julie at corporate telling her it has broken again, please return my call. I hear nothing, so today I call Julie (who "was out of the office yesterday and didn't get your message") and tell her it's broken again. She puts me on hold then comes back to the phone as if we had had no previous conversations and proceeds to read me this disclaimer about service and INTENTIONAL DAMAGE DONE TO THE MACHINE and tells me she'll have a repair man out here tomorrow from some company I'd never heard of before. I said "I want Duvall's--they're the ones you have sent all along and are familiar with the situation" and she replied that they couldn't get here until January 31st. I am a patient woman, very down to earth and have no entitlement issues. I have been without the use of a $900.00 dish washer since November 25th. It has been repaired THREE times and still doesn't work. I have spent HOURS trying to resolve this issue and am beyond frustrated. I no longer want a replacement; I want a full refund (including installation and extended warranty) and NEVER want to step in a Lowe's again. I am actually physically sick over this.
Description of Work: On September 16th of last year, I bought a KitchenAide Dishwasher at Lowes store #1525. The reason I chose to shop at Lowes(despite a myriad of other choices) was due to the excellent service they had given a friend of mine a few years back. She had purchased a Dishwasher from the same store (#1525) and was amazed at their excellent customer service -- when her machine quit after a few weeks, they not only insisted on replacing it, they upgraded the model to the top of the line.

I purchased the appliances through them and they did a free installation of it. I had to pay a little extra because I had to have a plumber come and do some work on my dishwasher. My old one was plumbed underneath the house and they don't do it that way anymore so I called a plumber. My daughter had done some initial look in to see who had the best prices and once we went up there the guy that waited on us couldn't have been nicer. My whole experience with Lowe's was very good. Everything was just perfect.
Description of Work: Lowe's of Carmel came out in December to install a refrigerator, stove and a dishwasher.

The fellow that came out had measured it wrong. So, it took a long time as he had to reorder the same. I ended up having to buy a door that could never be used. Other than that, it was fine. It looks fine and works fine, too. The drapes were installed properly. The work was done well. I spent $450 on the door, as it was a custom-made door. It was more than what I wanted to pay, but it was competitive. I will use them again in the future.

We thought the cost was reasonable for the floor and door. The service was pretty prompt. We did have to ask them to come back to come back for one thing that had to do with the where the wood slats were a little bit separated. We asked them to come back and fill it in and they did that. They subcontract the work and when we said there was something that needed to be attended to the head of the department at Lowe's came out and that was very reassuring that Lowe's would do what they said they would do. The Lowe's management was very conscientious to follow up when we had an issue.

I had some trouble with them with the labor installation so they gave me full credit for the labor they charged me. I don't like their labor contractors. I have used them three times and I am not going to use them again. I had no control over them; they worked for Lowe's. I had somebody come out and tell me one thing and then they came out to do something different. Their pricing is a little high. I had them replace the water heater because it was leaking. Sometimes when it starts leaking, it can also explode. I had Lowe's do countertops as well and I had a problem with that. They brought it out too small and still tried to install it. Lowe's intervened and brought in a different contractor and got the job done right. I will say that Lowe's will fix the problem, but I won't use their contractors again. I will use Lowe's in the future only to purchase things but not to install.

LOWES The installer from Lowes, had actually put the wrong door up at first. They were putting up the cheapest door they had, and he had to come back out to install the correct door. I did forgive him because, his wife was expecting a child, and he really wasn't thinking. They apologized profusely, and they came out and fixed the door a week and a half later. He is still apologetic, I felt sorry for him. He is a good kid.
Description of Work: LOWES I used Loos, to install a door. It was in April or May, it was around $300 to $ 400.

We were in a rush to get the project done but they were absolutely wonderful to work with. They did a great job with follow-up and they came at the appointment time. Lowe’s called to verify that everything got done and that we were pleased with it. The task was completed within a week from order to installation.

I was very impressed with the employees at Lowe's in Carmel. Barb (head of the window treatment department) was very knowledgeable and patient in helping me select economical window blinds for my home. She went out of her way to be sure I received my purchase in a timely manner. Jim (a Lowe's professional installer) arrived on time, accurately measured, and expertly installed all the window coverings. From start to finish Lowe's employees were helpful and kept me informed at each step in the process. I would use them again and would highly recommend Lowe's to others.

The prices are much better than dealing with individual contractors. I had a handyman service install my post and coach lights and my faucet. The products are of good quality at a good price, and you can return or exchange anything without hassle. Barb in the window treatement department was very helpful in finding me a good window treatment at a good price (aluminum shades). Their minimum installation price of one-hundred dollars (including in-home measuring) is expensive if you are only going to have one window treatment installed. The installation service was very good and I was kept informed every step of the way .The sales and service people are generally very helpful and personable. I saved a lot of money buying the itmes here and I also picked up some good household cleaners and supplies at good prices.
Description of Work: I recently purchased outside post and coach lights, a kitchen faucet, and aluminum blinds from Loew's. Loew's did the installation of the blinds.

roofing crew was in and out in a day and was very good. I appreciated how well they cleaned up and then also picked up the extra materials and I received credit against the final bill. Lowe's also had a materials rebate going on and I ended up with a very large gift card we used to buy a new oven!
Description of Work: Lowe's bid on and received two jobs for home maintenance. They installed a new roof and a new set of basement windows. Excellent installation and service. Their prices, especilaly on materials, were very reasonable. Only glitch: I could have and should have been shown some windows that would have qualified me for the green tax credit, but the sales rep was uninformed. I would have ended up with a better quality window for less money.
