I am very happy with the windows. Actually, I liked that Mark sales/ owner did not pressure me any with the sales pitch. He gave me some good info and answered my questions. He was available for phone and email questions. The installation crew was wonderful. They were very careful inside and outside. They also installed a marble sill for me because it had a crack in it...at no additional charge. We had almost no cleanup after the installation crew left. We are very happy with quality of our windows. We had our windows installed on a Friday. Sunday morning I sent an email to Mark telling him the bath window was a tiny amount off on width. He answered back a few hours later. He ordered a new one from manufacturer right away. They just installed the new screen 7/22. It fits great. Everything was handled very professionally. I plan to call them next year to do a few more windows.
Description of Work: I had 4 windows installed. A picture window, kitchen, and 2 bathroom windows.

These homeowners replaced some of the windows. This is very common. At LEGACY homeowners get a price guarantee for the balance of their windows when they buy at least 6. The existing windows were metal sliding windows. These single pane windows were original to the home. The metal look was replaced with our soft beige. This complimented the exterior brick and gutters very well. New windows and doors make a permanent change to a home and at LEGACY we have always felt homeowners should take their time in deciding what is right for them and their home. All of our customers receive the same price so there isn't a phony first visit offer and there isn't a deadline to make a decision. New windows make your home more attractive as well as adding convenience and more security to your lifestyle. Learn more about making your dwelling permanently more green. All estimates are free and there is never an obligation.

I'm pretty satisfied with them, but I've had some issues with the last window getting installed. Overall they were good to work with and I felt no pressure about purchasing additional services from them or purchasing the windows from them.

On this job we had one window come in wrong. We did get it done. Sometimes it's difficult to control the variables that can delay a job. At LEGACY we do everything we can to move jobs along quickly, but our focus is on a quality job installed right that last for decades. This job had the rich maple faux wood interior. This complimented the homeowners' existing interior casing. The look was seamless. We offer 7 types of wood look interior windows. The lamination is a cost effective way to create a visually stunning look. The exterior color selection and the interior finish are two the first considerations a homeowner should make. White and beige exterior colors are the most common. At LEGACY we offer 16 exterior color choices. On the interior we offer real wood, faux wood and colors. Design your windows today by calling LEGACY Window and Door at 3174881464.

Marks crew led by James, arrived on time and one by one took out the old windows and frames and replaced each with beautiful triple pane windows. The difference is striking! We chose prairie grids for two of our larger windows, and it was the perfect solution to enjoy both the view and still have the charm of grids. the job was completed in one day. The crew cleaned up and did some minor repair work that couldn't be helped. They were courteous, nice people to have in our home. we would highly recommend Legacy Windows for either new construction or replacement windows.

Window replacement is a challenging profession, but when done right has many positive ramifications. LEGACY building products are made in America. Our owner worked for many years in window manufacturing. We are committed to Made in America Products. At LEGACY we don't offer any phony incentives to purchase that day. We encourage homeowners to take their time. Design the windows the way they want them. Reflect on it. By putting prairie grids in the fixed windows -- colonial in all others -- we keep the fixed units consistent but as the homeowner stated, open for viewing. This is a look we first saw in Frank Lloyd Wright designs. Mr. Wright often made flanking casements with colonial and put the prairie in the middle unit. To create the perfect interior look we also added interior quarter round. Triple pane glass is the ultimate energy saver PLUS the best sound insulator. New windows should make a homeowners life more convenient and comfortable as well as creating a new look and making the home more energy efficient. If you would like more information on our custom made windows and doors please email or call us. Our estimates are free and all are ran by the company owner. Thank you for considering LEGACY Window and Door.

The reason a person becomes a general contractor is two fold. First you want to have a job that you enjoy and lets you provide for your family. The second reason and the primary reason you stay in business is the feeling you receive when a project makes your homeowner happy. New windows and doors make a difference inside and outside of our homes. When done properly they bring convenience and comfort to our lives. LEGACY is very appreciative of the homeowners who choose us. We know there are a lot of other companies out there too. If you'd like a free estimate please call.

The overall work and experience was entirely satisfactory and I would recommend Legacy Window & Door to anyone interested in replacing old or outdated windows.
Description of Work: I purchased 2 triple pane vinyl windows., which were installed on 4/27/13. Mark Spencer came to my home to provide the estimate. He arrived at the scheduled time and provided me with detailed information and well as a list of references. The windows came in 2-3 weeks later and were installed the following week. There was only 1 man who came to do the installation, but he worked about 3 hours to complete the job. There was no cleanup after the job was done. We are entirely satisfied with the windows and the company.

It can be a challenge working in historic districts. This home is going to require a wood window inside and out. LEGACY's wood Historical Window Series is the most durable on the market. The wood is treated to the core and has a 40+ year life span if properly maintained. This home is a Vicotorian style home and has the interesting color scheme so many do. The Indianapolis Historical Society has a hearing on May 1. We'll be there to help our customer.

After reading the past reviews on Legacy, we submitted a form to have them contact us regarding an estimate. Mark contacted us right away and came out to the house. We showed Mark what we were wanting to do and explained what we wanted to accomplish. Mark showed us the windows that he recommended and talked with us about our options. He was very informative but not too pushy. After consideration (we had received a quote from another company), we asked Mark if he could work around our refinance process and if he could replace the gutters on the front of our house. He said that he would work with our timeline and that he could use contractor to replace our gutters. James came out to measure our windows and within 6 weeks, we had the new windows in place. The replacement process only took 2 days to remove the old & put in the new. James did a wonderful job and was very thorough. The gutters took a bit longer but were installed a few weeks later and the whole house looks great! We even recommended Legacy to our neighbors who had their whole home replaced about a month after us. We'd recommend Mark & Legacy to anyone!

Indiana is fortunate to have many wonderful neighborhoods. This is another one in Greenwood. This large two story home had the original new construction windows. That means the glass is clear with the Low E glazing and Argon gas fill. It also typically means the windows are not flashed and sealed properly. These homeowners, like all of our customers, received our robust, energy glass that reduces fuel consumption by 25-35%. While all parts of a replacement window are important, the glass itself is where all of your heat loss or heat gain is experienced. This is the battlefield. When homes like this get new energy efficient windows, the result is significant. The home becomes instantly more comfortable. No more drafts, less noise from the outside, not to mention the convenience of windows that open, shut and are now easy to clean. These homeowners stayed with the original grid pattern in the double hungs, but in the large half round they picked an unique pattern that really complimented the other windows. As the owner of LEGACY Window and Door, I am the one who comes to customer's home. With 23 total years in the business, 15 in window and door manufacturing, I have been trained to understand the structural and thermal qualities that make a great window. I sit down with each homeowner and help them determine the best product for their home. Then our family (literally: brother runs one crew, brother in law runs the other!) installs it with the care of working on our own homes. LEGACY'S selection includes many styles and colors. Vinyl with laminated wood or real wood interiors. Aluminum exteriors with real wood interiors. Don't settle and don't fall for any phony sales pressure. LEGACY does not make a phony offer to buy that day. Everyone receives the same low price. No negotiating needed. We encourage our customers to take their time and make the decision.

First met Mark at the Home Show, made an appointment for him to come to our house for an estimate on new windows. He arrived on time,as scheduled. Mark was very friendly and professional. He showed us samples of the window cut away, which was very helpful. He looked at and measured our existing windows, and was able to give us a good deal based on signing up at the home show. After meeting with other window companies, we decided to go with someone else, but I believe they have a good product at a good price.

Called last fall and made appointment, but nobody ever showed up. This time he was late because he got lost - he had written my address down wrong. He is a very nice man and he explained our choices well, but didn't write an estimate that I can read. There are just random numbers all over the paper. What writing there is is indistinguishable. Yawned through the entire process. To be fair, he did say that I'd be receiving an estimate, but he didn't take my email address. I have to assume that it will be snail-mailed.

This is a very confusing report. This homeowner is outside of our service area, but because they are an Angie's List member we went on the appointment. The homeowner stated she was ready to do the work. The total drive time round trip 5.5 hours. Once at the home I realized the homeowners were not ready to buy. I showed them all the products including different wood grain options. We wrote down the price and the homeowner had two weeks to decide. We wrote the date the homeowner could order until. We are confused by the homeowner response.

I had Mark Spencer come out and give me a quote for several windows in a sunroom at the end of November. I had just bought my house several months before and it was in deperate need of repair. My windows were so bad that snow drifted on the inside during the blizzard (with the windows shut). Their price was better than than the other quotes and Mark was a no pressure sales guy which I liked and appreciated. Mark seemed more comfortable quoting the job than the others. Legacy also had good reviews on AngiesList. I decided to use Legacy and paid half up front. The holidays and blizzard made it take a week longer than anticipated and I started getting a little concerned, but the fact that Mark answered the phone personally every time I called even on off hours helped me relax. Then Mark said they were ready to do the install and Shawn and Mitchell came out and did the install. They were both American workers and seemed like really good people, very cordial and professional, and I could tell they were very intelligent. Thats another thing that is difficult to find - intelligent craftsman. Obviously Mark has some good people working for him. They took out the old windows and installed the new ones. But thats only a small part of what they did. They took pride in their work and did an awesome job on the flashing outside the windows. They didn't rush anything. The windows and house looked terrible before they came, and they even had to replace a couple of rotten boards (which really wasn't part of the quoted job but they cared enough to do it). When they finished it looked beautiful. I kept staring at it in awe. Also, I think the room where they replaced the windows was cleaner when they left than it was when they got there. It is very difficult these days to get that kind of service and actual craftsmen that take pride in what they do, and all at a good price. Thats almost unheard of these days. I plan to have them back out to reflash all my other existing windows since it looks so good and will help prevent moisture damage. I will also call them for any other window or door needs which I'm sure I will have eventually. Another thing worth noting, the sunroom is now easily heated with a small space heater and the cold draft is gone. Things I recommend: 1) Be patient, they aren't some bix box store that will give you the run-around, have some guy in india answer the phone (or never answer it), and do sloppy work -- they are good quality intelligent craftsmen with a great product at a great price and they take the time to do a good job. 2) If you know you have rotted wood/window sills, you might want to have some spare lumber when they come. They can't anticipate everything they will run into, and at their prices you can't expect them to rebuild your wall. However, they cared enough to replace a couple of boards for me and I was lucky enough to have the lumber in the barn that they needed.

Being a general contractor is very satisfying work when you have the opportunity to work for persons like this homeowner. Improving a homes' structural and energy efficiency is good for everyone. It stimulates the local economy and permanently reduces the carbon print for the structure. In our opinion there are 3 elements to a quality window replacement. 1. Excellent product/support materials that is correctly matched to the application. 2. Exact Measurement of the openings being worked on. 3. Professional, competent, skilled workers. As always a big thank you to our Angie's List homeowners.

The salesman was extremely nice and great with follow-thru. We just had to be patient to get it. Thankfully the scratch wasn't a big priority because it still kept the water out. Great company to work with.
Description of Work: Had to have a new window fixed because of a break in the glass. We'd only had it for more than a year and a half. We called and were delivered a new one to put into the house. My husband did it b/c we weren't home when the salesman brought it. It was easy to put in. We were just at the disposal of the salesman to get it here and at the company's timeframe to get it to the salesman. Sometimes that takes a while.

Providing quality, timely service is a top priority at LEGACY. Our homeowners receive "blanket" warranties. Everything is covered. In this situation a homeowner had a scratch on the glass. We would normally install the new sash, but in this case the homeowner asked to have the sash dropped off and they would install. We came back later and picked up the broken sash and properly disposed of it. Every customer interaction is an opportunity to learn. We are reviewing this service timeline and will focus in the future in quicker turn-around.

When the decision was made for Legacy to do the job, it was approximately one month later , James the brother-in- law of Mark Spencer called to schedule a time that would work for me and they were on time and finished the job quickly and the quality was excellent! A portion of payment was given at beginning and the final payment was given whrn thhe job was complete.. I would recommend this company to many people to use...

This residence is typical in age and construction of many of the homes LEGACY works on. Built in the early 1980s', featuring full brick exterior and wood/wood windows. This is a quality home that has been well maintained. A wood/wood window is simple a window that has real wood inside and out. A wood frame window in Indiana's harsh climate has a life span of 15+ years depending on the maintenance schedule. Many homeowners with this age of home face interesting choices when deciding to replace their windows. At LEGACY we believe a home improvement is a project that merits consideration and reflection. We do not offer any type of incentive to purchase on the first visit. When our customers pick LEGACY to do the work, its because they've considered all their options and feel we are their best choice. Homes with stained interior casing have two choices with LEGACY. We have maintenance free exteriors (vinyl or extruded aluminum) with real wood interiors. ADVANTAGE: the wood can be stained to closely compliment the existing stain. DISADVANTAGE: cost. This features drives the product cost up almost double. This is however a popular choice because the windows will last 40-50 years. If the budget doesn't allow real wood windows LEGACY has 6 interior wood laminates. A homeowner is looking for a compliment. If the laminate is a compliment this application can be a home run. This homeowner choose our clay exterior with the faux wood interior. The match was very close. Now she has new windows that work right, are maintenance free and have reduced the home's energy consumption permanently.

They arrived timely, proceeded to start the job and continuously checked to make sure none of my pets had escaped. They were very conscientious about the landscaping under the windows and took care to not damage anything. They were superb in their cleanup and if you hadn't been there to see it happen you wouldn't know they had even been there that day doing all of the tear out work. They were simply THAT good. I have already contracted with them to do some additional work in my home and know I'll be quite satisfied with the fruits of their labors.
Description of Work: By far, this contractor was the best I've ever used. They installed windows throughout my house, replaced the funky patio door with a beauty and the look is incredible. The owner, Mark, took the time to explain why a certain look would fit the "look" of the house. He suggested a specific color for the interior side of the windows that looks terrific! I'm very, very satisfied with the company, their work, the product and feel confident I will continue to be happy with this job. Many friends and neighbors have complimented the windows and door. I feel safer with the new patio door (although I know to not trust my safety to a door). It is just so much better constructed than the previous door.

We are blessed to have such wonderful customers. This was a prototypical Hoosier home built in the 1940’s; lots of quality, but in need of updating the windows and doors. The original windows were wood on the inside and outside. No one wants wood on the outside now, but the interior look is important to “recreate” as best as possible. In some homes a beige or white vinyl is the perfect choice. When a wood look is the best option, LEGACY has two alternatives. We offer a real wood interior window in either oak or poplar, stained to choice. We also offer a wood laminate or wood look window. The key to the laminates is whether they complement the existing trim. (note: we also replace interior trim/casing so it does match exactly). In this case the homeowner choose our rich maple laminate. The grain pattern and color on this laminate are outstanding. On the exterior, the homeowner choose our low gloss white. To recreate the original look we put full screens on the windows, not half. When we removed the original windows we found some wood rot and a lot of empty spaces where heat could escape. We insulated the empty spaces and replaced the rotted wood. The new windows completed the energy upgrade. No more expensive heat loss in the winter. In the summer LEGACY Windows block 84% of the incoming heat from the sun. Our insulating foam that goes around the window is made in Finland. I figure they can teach us something about keeping the cold out! This minimal expansion foam fills gaps and bonds the window to the opening. The foam will slightly contract and expand with the changing of the seasons, but will never allow air or moisture infiltration. This also buffers sound coming in from the outside world. We finished the exterior by placing colored match maintenance free trim over the existing soft pine surrounding the windows. We complete the sealing process by caulking everything with a color matched, high quality silicone.

Everything went as stated. Mark kept us informed on what was going on the whole time. When it came time to schedule installation, they worked on the day that was best for us. Very happy with window quality and quality of work.
Description of Work: Legacy Windows replaced 14 windows in our Southport home. We had metal windows that frosted up in the winter. Mark Spencer and Legacy were a referral. A good friend of ours had her windows replaced and was very happy with the quality and the workmanship. Mark gave us a quote and a few weeks later we called him back and moved forward. About 4 weeks later they installed all the windows. James and his crew did the job in one day. They never left once they got there. Worked until the job was done. The trim work and the caulking was very neat. Cleaned everything up and were gone by 7pm. I waited a few months before reviewing to see how the windows handled the summer heat. We noticed a substantial difference and look forward to the winter savings. We would recommend anyone considering windows to call Legacy. They did everything they said they would and we are very happy with the windows. They made the house more quiet too!

These Southport Indiana homeowners have a lovely Bedford Stone Ranch built in the 50's. The original windows were metal. Metal is a great structural product, but it's neither attractive nor is it energy efficient. Our beige windows are our number one seller and this is what they picked. Our beige is almost a putty color. This soft color compliments all earth tones and almost all brick exteriors. We took out all the cold metal windows. Scrapped the old caulk off and put in new beige sliding units. We seal the openings with a combination of silicone and a sealing/insulating foam make in Finland. Finland lies partially in the Artic Circle and those folks know about sealing the home against energy loss. The beige compliments their gutters, soffitt and fascia and gives the home an awesome curb side appearance. At LEGACY we're very concerned about our customers' actual energy savings. As a part of our follow up we monitor reduction in heating and cooling units with specific customers. A quality window replacement: the right style, colors and installation, improves the value and appearance of a home both inside and out. We are very happy the homeowner is pleased. Our goal is homeowner happiness.

Mark Spencer was a referral from a friend who also has Legacy windows. Mark came to our house and measured all the windows and gave us a price. There was absolutley no pressure to buy and Mark left us with a packet of information to check out Legacy windows. A few weeks later we called Mark and purchased the windows. Three weeks later the windows arrived and they were installed in one day. The workers were extremely courteous and cleaned up everything very well. While we feel we got a great price it was the quality of the workers that was most impressive. The detail work is outstanding. Everything is color coordinated. This was a very nice experience and I would encourage anyone considering windows and doors to give them a call. Mark told us how everything would work and it went just like he said. We did make one change after contract and Mark made that easy. Each time we called him we either got thru directly or he called us right back. This company communicates well. The windows have made our home more quiet and the air conditioning has definitely worked less. Great experience.
Description of Work: Legacy replaced 8 of our old windows with new triple pane windows. They took the old rotted wood out and replaced it with all new matching trim. Each window was finished inside and out. They look great!!

LEGACY is always grateful when a customer calls us and tells us a friend of theirs in interested in new windows. At LEGACY one third of our new customers are referrals. This homeowner had 8 of her home's windows replaced. She opted for triple pane in our private label window series: Heritage. Triple pane lowers the U value by a full one third, down to low .20. It also lowers the Solar Heat Gain numbers. The sashes are foam filled for additional insulation. We removed single pane, large wood windows. She also had the unattractive, cumbersome storm windows on the exterior. Now everything is one color, all new. She will never paint again. To compliment her original look, the windows have colonial grids between the glass and full screens. Thank you to our valued customers. Please call with any questions.

Mark Spencer always came across as professional and responsive but did not always deliver on his promises. He originally told us that tile work on our floor in front of the door was included in our quote but later said this was never the case and that they did not do tile work at all. He also said multiple times that the work was always done by his employees and not by sub-contractors and that this was why his company always did quality work. However, two young subcontractors were the ones that came to our house. One even mentioned he had never worked on a house like ours before. The removal of our single door and widening of the opening did not go well. No precautions were used cutting the drywall and cement board while widening of door. Dust went everywhere (and we had a newborn in the home)! They also popped the nails on the drywall above the opening and there was actually a buzz saw line that came into the house. When we pointed this out they actually said 'don't worry about that'. Even though they eventually put these back in and patched, we were the ones who painted the wall since we had other issues by this point (see below). The workers also used two different colors of caulk and they tried to cover up that they lost our hardware for an outdoor light fixture. The door install physically went well but the staining and painting was so horrible we had to have a handy man come in and strip the door and restain it. Mark personally stained the door, although he clearly did not know what he was doing. The colors did not look like what we picked. The weather was too hot to be staining resulting in the door being so streaky it was embarrassing. He also did not take down the doors to stain them and stain ended up on our hardware, carpet and paver patio. To make it worse, he didn't even open the second side of the french door, which left a one inch outline of unstained door. We tried to reach an agreement but he truly believed he did a good job and given what we had seen so far, we decided to part ways with $200 off our bill (it cost us $600 to fix all of their mistakes). We would obviously not use them again nor recommend them. It also took them three attempts to properly wrap our window trim as the first two times the work was done poorly and was very sloppy.

LEGACY had two orders from this homeowner. Initially we wrapped several windows for the homeowner. They liked the quality so much they asked us to wrap additional windows and install a door. The second work we did for the homeowner had two issues. 1. The door was delivered late by the manufacturer. We kept the homeowner in the loop throughout. 2. The specialty fiberglass stain provided was defective. A full refund was offered twice, but instead the homeowner requested and received two substantial discounts. The manufacturer missed their delivery date with us. At this point we gave the homeowner the opportunity to receive a full refund on their order. They declined, instead taking a large discount. We also wrapped the rest of their windows for cost. While wrapping the second set the homeowners accused us of using a different silicone. ONLY after showing the homeowner the packaging with the color identified did they grudgingly agree it was the same. They also questioned whether the special order trim was the same the second time. It was. Throughout the process the homeowners tried to get us to do extra work for free. We explained if it wasn't on the contract, we wouldn't do it for free. This upset them tremendously. We enlarged an opening from a single door to a double door. This is not a simple task. It was done perfectly. We installed the door. The door operated perfectly. We provided contractor electrical service at our cost as well. Throughout the process we added upgrades. Example, new oak trim, not pine. The stain did not apply correctly. LEGACY spent 3 days trying to correct this, but couldn't. Again the homeowner was offered a full refund. In writing we told them they could get any door they wanted, have it installed and we would come and get our door. Instead they requested another discount and offered to stain themselves. We gave them the discount which enabled the homeowner to purchase the door and installation substantially below our cost. The order was never paid in full. LEGACY is disappointed whenever expectations are not meet. As a result of this transaction we switched door distributors. We have not had any issues related to staining since. The manufacturer believes we received defective stain. We strive to learn from every customer transaction and to get better.

Working with the family has been a pleasure. Their home was well maintained, but like many of a similar age had inefficient, inconvenient windows and doors. This past spring we replaced all the windows in their home. Several months later we replaced three patio doors including a custom 9 foot 3 panel door. The member's choose LEGACY's Heritage Line of windows and doors. Color is a soft beige. These beautifully made, custom sized windows with a LIFETIME warranty for product protection including hermetic seal failure and accidental glass breakage. To add value this warranty transfers to the next homeowner. Our installation process included maintenance free exterior trim, color match silicone sealant (silicone is permanent, caulk cracks) and a window frame foam that sound proofs the opening and is a crucial part of our installation guarantee. The homeowners made their home more convenient for their use and much more green with LEGACY's Elite energy glass: standard on every LEGACY Window. Energy use will be reduced by 1/3 this year and every year moving forward!

Mark Spencer quoted the windows and was the best price out of 4 quotes. The windows arrived in less then 3 weeks from the order being placed. A crew of 2 guys spent about a day and 1/2 at our house removing the old Windows and installing the new ones, cleaning and removing all the trash and the old window garbage from our house. They did a great a job they didnt leave any mess and were very professional in there work. The new windows are great the look great both inside and out. The work great and I feel I got a great value for my money.

True pleasure working with these homeowners. They choose LEGACY'S Heritage series of replacement windows. Like many homeowners, the interior of their original windows was stained wood. LEGACY is among a handful of companies that offer both real wood and laminated wood interiors (inside only!). Real wood is a great option, but is more expensive. When the laminated wood compliments the existing wood trim, its an affordable, great looking choice. The cherry interior was a great compliment. At LEGACY we have 6 interior wood look laminates. With the entire house of windows replaced, the homeowner got rid of the ugly storm windows on the outside and made their home SUPER GREEN! By permanently reducing the home's heating and cooling energy use by one third, this is a home improvement with so many positive future ramifications for both the homeowner and our society in general. Reduce that carbon print!

The workers arrived at the stated time. They went over the work order with me to make sure that every thing was right. They then proceeded to install the windows with a minimal amount of noise. They were very courteous in answering any questions I had. They was also very neat and efficient with the work they performed. When they finished the job there were no debris left behind. They were also courteous enough to complete 2 windows that I had installed by someone else. I would not hesitate to hire this company again if the the need arise.

This home was built in the 1990's. It had metal single hung windows. The cedar trim around the windows was rotted, particularly the sills. We replaced all rotted wood and put in our Heritage series of premium vinyl replacement windows. The beige exterior color was very complimentary to her existing gutters and paint scheme.

LEGACY has done work for this homeowner several times. We've installed a front door and a patio door. The homeowner changed an old hinged garden patio door to a sliding Andersen patio door with a real wood interior and a metal clad exterior. The glass is tempered for safety and includes Low E glazing. This is the glass that reflects the heat source. This is the glass that in the summer blocks incoming heat and in the winter reflects the heat inside your home back in versus letting go out. The homeowner completed their custom look with oil rubbed bronze hardware. Metal clad exteriors are a good choice when a dark exterior color is needed. The metal with a prefinish will survive the effects of the sun better than vinyl. All LEGACY patio door replacements include new interior casing around the door. This homeowner choose fluted with rosette blocks. All stained to match their existing wood work in the family room.

Mark Spencer is the owner and he was very personable. We met him at one of the trade shows. He gave us information, he was a no pressure guy. When he came out to the house he gave us a demonstration. He was nice, polite and didn't push anything on us. He didn't tell us the deal was only good today. He said he just wanted to give us information and let us make a decision. We felt like he was very honest, he had a great product and we decided to buy the windows. We had 17 windows that we purchased. They came out and installed them in one day, they were big windows. The installers were excellent, professional and kind. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. One guy did all the installing, he was amazing and it was the owner's brother-in-law. It's a family owned business. The overall experience was amazing.

First, let me start off by saying that I am not the easiest person in the world to work with and offer a big thank you to Mark Spencer for sticking with me throughout this process. The windows in our house were in such a state of disrepair that they absolutely had to be replaced. We wrestled with options and finally decided to go the vinyl window route and consulted Angie's List for recommendations which is how we found Legacy and Mark. We had several companies give estimates on replacement but Mark was head and shoulders above everyone else in his presentation. I sincerely believe that Mark Spencer cares about what is best for a homeowner when it comes to making that big investment in their home. Whether it is windows, remodeling, painting, or whatever else needs to be done, Mark wants the homeowner to be comfortable in their decision. Sometimes that decision might take a while, as it did with me, but Mark gives you the time to come to that decision with absolutely no pressure. I wanted to make sure that I was not going to lose a significant amount of glass space when I replaced my windows and I also wanted to retain some semblance of a custom appearance with a vinyl window. Mark spent extra time in measuring my windows and even made a call to the manufacturer to determine the actual glass width on the windows. We then talked about retaining a wood jamb around the windows which, in my opinion, sets them apart from a typical vinyl installation. Mark then made a suggestion on the exterior wrap for the windows which simulates a brick mould appearance. He even found a flexible wood product for the trim around our arch window. We couldn't have been happier with the end result. The windows look fantastic! Installation was superior as well, with Mark's brother-in-law James leading the crew and providing superior workmanship. They were all very courteous and worked quickly to get the job done in one day. They were very neat and did a spotless clean up at the end of the day. The only hitch was that one window came in with the wrong measurement (the factory transposed the numbers) and had to be reordered. I could tell that Mark and James really do care about the homeowner as they both expressed regret about the window as it was the one that needed to be replaced the most. Mark reordered the window and James came out on a Saturday to do the installation. I guess that my hesitance in getting this whole process rolling was the old saying that if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never did. Mark Spencer and Legacy Windows is the real deal. He provided a superior price, superior service, and a superior experience. I could go on and on about how happy we are with the job that Mark did with our window installation. If you are in need of new windows, call Mark Spencer at Legacy. You will not be disappointed.
