Legacy Window and Door and Mark Spencer have been very good to work with as I replace the windows in my home. I have been incrementally replacing all the windows, a few at a time, and Legacy has been very facilitative. The price has been very reasonable, much better than quotes we received from other providers of triple-pane windows. The quality of the window and installation is also strong, as the house was definitely warmer this winter, especially some of the upstairs bedrooms that used to get cool in the winter (those bedrooms used to get down to 62 - 63 degrees, with the new windows now they stay the same temperature as the rest of the house). The installers have typically been quick and thorough and clean up behind themselves.

I will try to keep this short and pithy. At the end of the day we got a good quality door/product. However to get there was a very frustrating process. We ordered the doors and we had to follow up a couple times even when we were told that we would be contacted as soon as the doors came in. Then finally they came to install and Mark said it would be a few hours and then done. Well not quite. When the installer came to install the main door there was a screen door we also ordered so we asked about that and of course he knew nothing about that. So only the main door was installed and the other door wasn't until the next day. Then we noticed there was a part of the trim which was missing after installation at the bottom of the door on the inside (so we could just see into the floor a little bit). So we called and made an appointment for Mark to come out to fix. So I stayed home from work (the appointment was at 9:00). At 9:15 nothing so I tried calling Legacy and no answer. I waited a little longer, still nothing. So at 9:45 I left a very direct message since I was very frustrated at that point and Mark never returned my call. I called again about 10:45 very upset and he answered so he basically ignored my initial voicemail. When I told him that I stayed home from work for our appointment, his first reaction was that an appointment wasn't made to which I said yes absolutely it was and that it needed to be fixed that day (since it had been well over a week since the doors were installed). When he arrived he did admit that yes indeed an appointment was made. He came and looked at it and of course said yes they missed a part then he went to a store to buy the part and came and took 5 minutes to install and then finally the process was done. All Legacy employees/contractors I met with were very nice and good to work with it was just Mark's communication which was our issue. Maybe he was just having a bad few weeks or perhaps the fact that we are fairly young homeowners he thought he could take advantage of us, we don?t know. I do know that we didn't enjoy dealing with him after we made the order (of course during the sales process he was fine). I would not say I wouldn't use them again since at the end of the day we got a good product which is obviously most important. I would, however, get some quotes with a couple other companies as well and if we did use Legacy again we would make sure up front to let him know our expectations and I would recommend anybody else who uses him after reading this review do the same.

They installed a security door. They are an extremely professional company to work with, and I was very pleased with the service I received. They were prompt in delivery and installation, and they followed up to make sure I was happy with everything.

We could not be happier. It took my husband 5 years to talk me into getting new windows. My concern was that new windows would affect the appearance of our old house and we have been diligent about preserving it to the time period. The windows are beautiful, fit our homes style, and we can open and clean them so easily! We should have done this yeas ago. Dave and Mike the installers, were very professional and left the house clean.

The company called and came out and installed the window and everything is resolved.

Mark is knowledgeable and easy to work with. His installers, Mike and Dave, are great guys, fast, and good at what they do.

Order placed 8/1/14 and took a little longer than originally thought due to odd size of large window but worked out since we had vacation scheduled in the middle of September. When we got back had a call from Mark on the answering machine saying the windows were in and ready to be installed. I called him and a date was set for the following Tuesday. Mike and Cody showed up and began work immediately installing the large window first. They never stopped work except for a short break to get lunch. Work done in quick time and Mike and Cody even helped this 81 year old man to put up part of the drapes, blinds and curtains. Mike even helped to move a large sofa back into place. This was very much appreciated. I am well pleased at the professional way Mike and Cory did there work plus the extra help they did that was not there job. They had to tired and still had a long drive back to their home base.

They weren't able to assist me, however they did get me in contact with a company that could.

It went better than what I thought. They were on time, neat, clean, and polite. Because I was in a hurry to get it done, they worked around my schedule. They stayed on the job 13 hours to get it done. It ended up looking even better than the display where we purchased it. I've had a house full of people since then, and they all commented on how great the floors looked.

The professionalism of Michael Carlyle saved the day! Truly, it was an unfortunate crew that came the very first time to take care of our doors. We understand they are no longer a part of the Legacy family and that is a good thing. We appreciate the warranty was still good on the storm door as there was a factory issue with the door that was a mess. I did take pictures all along the way just to protect ourselves--thankfully, we didn't have to use them. Mark Spencer-owner-has answered our emails when we contacted him and had Michael (the very best) come out to take care of us.

Our house really needed a new front door. I didn't think we could afford the type door I really wanted; however, Mark Spencer provided a beautiful full view leaded glass door with sidelight at a very fair price. The installers showed up at the scheduled time and did a great job with the installation. They were very courteous and cleaned up very well. The painters arrived the next day and were meticulous. The door is beautiful! All my neighbors love it, too. Legacy installed three new windows for us last year and that experience was just as pleasant.

It was excellent. The guys were really good when they came out. They knew everything about the product and made us extremely comfortable with the whole process. Overall, it was an outstanding experience.

The whole experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The company has a nice showroom, and the owner is very good at selling his product and service. But the company as a whole, is very unprofessional, and does shoddy work. They did finally make the corrections needed, but I would not recomend them to anybody. In response to the providers response, the job is not done right. The front door opens when the door is in the locked position. There is moisture on the inside of the front screen door. In regards to the floor issue, the owner came and looked at our previous doors, when he gave the estimate. We have before, during and after pictures to back up what we say. now the owner is refusing to honor our warranties because we gave an honest rating.

Legacy Windows and Mark were excellent to work with. Replaced all the original wood windows and exterior doors which were 23 years old. Mark was great to educate us on the different options and window technologies available. His quote was 30-50% less than 2 other company's quotes including more options than other company's (panes, wood stain match). From time of order for all of the material it was only 5 weeks till installation. The color on the exterior vinyl was a good match to our vinyl siding and we had a near exact match on the interior faux stain of the windows which matched an existing wood trim stain. With Mark's recommendation, we replaced a painted steel front door with a vinyl door stained to match the interior wood trim. Again an excellent match and we have received many compliments from our neighbors on the new front door; excellent street appeal. They were very accommodating to our schedule. The installation crew were very professional, friendly and clean; even had a day or two of inclement weather and they were able to handle it with no problem. The front door required an adjustment several weeks after installation and Legacy was responsive to come out and make the adjustment. Our house was much warmer (less drafty) during the winter with the new windows and we are enjoying reduced energy cost. Legacy Window and Mark Spencer are definitely worth considering for any window or door replacement projects!!

Amazing! Mark was an excellent communicator. Had a 1:1 consultation to talk through our options, and his team made a second visit to verify window measurements, to ensure a custom fit to our 80+ yr old window frames. Being in a historically preserved neighborhood, we have to be very mindful of selecting exterior improvements that meet historic preservation council requirements. Mark provided a swatch of ~50 colors, to allow us to match our storm windows to existing paint colors - it was perfect! The house looks so crisp now, not to mention our original 1926 wooden windows are now protected from the elements. Mark's style was professional and informative. We got quotes from 2 other companies, and went with Legacy based on their super service awards and quote (which was nearly 1/2 that of his competitors) and his estimate was exactly what he charged - no hidden charges or changes during the process. A neighbor actually walked by after the work was done, and complimented the paint color on our house. Our paint color has been the same for 5+ years, but I think because the the quality and crispness of the new storm windows, it gave the entire exterior of the home a face lift that was noticed by the neighborhood. I couldn't be happier with the work, and look forward to utilizing Legacy again as we work to replace our exterior doors. Thank you!

Wow, we could not have been happier with this company. They exceeded all expectations. Everything was completed with fantastic quality. The installation crew was very clean. Communication about installation, dates, etc was excellent. The owner, Mark, was very involved in every step and we are very impressed.

I initially had Mark come out in Jan 2013 to inspect my windows. At the time, he thought I could go a while longer before replacing the windows and I appreciated his honesty. I later noticing rotting wood along the windows and followed up with Mark, who first came out. He was quick to respond and worked with me to find windows similar to the ones I had. Mark was marvelous to work with. I was very pleased with his service from the beginning.

I worked with 4-5 companies on estimates for replacing all windows (21) and enclosing my patio. The companies varied from large commercial to small business. Legacy was the only one that gave me an estimate for both the windows and patio. For some reason none of the others remembered to give me a quote on the patio enclosure. Legacy provided one of the best quality products (triple pane) for the best price. A clear advantage is you get to work with the owner Mark Spencer who is committed to getting your project right. Mark provided helpful advice along the way. The contractors he works with, Bill and Joe were very personable and highly skilled. To date, I am extremely pleased with the product and highly recommend Legacy Window and Door.

Legacy did a fantastic job. Our new windows are beautiful. It took them slightly longer to install the new windows, but their work was done in a professional manner. They made certain they did not bring dirt into our house. They replaced windows that were two-stories or higher, and did this without a problem. The finished product is a work of art. We were embarrassed to have people at our house previously, but now have a beautiful family room and kitchen to be proud of. And their work was completed at a price that was better than the other estimates we obtained. Now that the cooler weather has set in, we have all ready noticed an improvement in the insulation the triple pane windows are providing. I highly recommend Legacy if you have a need for new windows or doors.

Mark and his crew were excellent to work with. Very personable and professional. Mark was there day one and was there to follow up and make sure we were happy. We could not be happier with our new windows . We look forward to a long relationship with Mark. I will gladly recommend him to anyone considering new windows or doors

The installation was painless. It did take a fair amount of time to get it scheduled but it was worth the wait. This should solve some heating/colling issues we had with the old windows. We love the product and will likly do more windows as we can affor it. They are easy to use and eaiser to clean and maintain.

The process was very long, in part because we were not sure what we wanted and we had a lot of questions. However, Legacy was very patient through the process and answered all our questions, and ultimately helped us get the exact product we wanted. They were willing to drive a distance to meet with us and discuss all steps of the process and all of our window options. They delivered the windows when we were ready and the windows were just how we expected. The windows seem to be of superior quality, for a very reasonable price that we couldn't match elsewhere.
