 + 0 moreBrian was thorough and careful. He used tarps to cover plants and the side of the house. We had a few casualties among the hostas, but it was tolerable. He pressure washes with hot water and took the time to clean miscellaneous areas like siding and some outdoor furniture on the lower level. I was pleased and surprised to see how quickly but thoroughly he cleaned and painted.
Description of Work: Brian is sort of a one-man show. He removed our deck furnishings, pressure washed the deck, including the underside, and applied stain. He had one person help on the latter.

 + -1 moreHe was very good. He came when he was supposed to. He spent a long time cleaning the deck. He spent a long time sealing it. I thought he'd missed a spot and he came right out to fix it. He gave me instructions on how to care for the deck, I'd never had anyone do that. He's professional and seems to take pride in his work.

Description of Work: Our deck was built in 2005. We had sealed the deck ourselves in 2006 and 2008. The stain was peeling of in many places. Brian Mayes, the owner power washed the deck then came back and sealed it. He had to wait about 10 days to seal it because of the rainy weather we have had in the last few weeks. For both the power washing and the sealing he came on the day he said he would. He gave us witten instructions on how to care for the deck in the future and left the unused sealer with us. After it was stained about 5 days we thought it was still tacky on our shoes. We called him and her came to check it out. He was at our house in about an hour and said everything was fine. He even touched up a few spots where the stain looked a little thin. All in all we are very satisfied with the work done, have recommended him to a friend and would hire him again. Thanks Brian for a job well done.

 + -1 moreBrian did an amazing job - - the deck looks like new. I am so thrilled with the outcome, Brian recommended a dark stain/paint to cover the old paint and it looks perfect. He was extremely detail orientated and the quality of work was outstanding.
Description of Work: Brian worked around our schedule to provide an estimate to power wash and re-paint our deck. The deck was in poor shape as the previous owners had not kept up on the maintence and had vacated the home 7 months prior. We provided Brian a date of June 15th to complete the work and he actually started about a week later. He cleaned and power washed the deck and then stained/painted the deck. The deck is two levels with stairs and built in seating, so the detail work was important.

 + -1 moreHe was courteous and professional and the heated water he uses seems to clean the mildew off completely. We got one other quote, but Brian's estimate was more than $100 less. The entire process from quote to completed job took less than a week.
Description of Work: Brian power washed our concrete patio, front walk and front porch and then returned in a few hours when it was dry to apply sealer to the entire area.

 + -1 moreThe deck had about three years worth of build-up and was looking aged. He was very professional when he came to give the quote, which was about 48 hours after we called him. His pricing was competative with other companies from whom we received quotes and his responsiveness in that portion of the process was far better than any of the others. When he cleaned the deck he took his time and was exceptionally thorough. When he was done the deck looked almost as good as the day it was put it (as he was wrapping up washing the deck he washed our front porch and sidewalk on his wy out). After a few days of drying Brian came back and stained the deck. He did an awesome job and the deck is a smooth, even color. The deck has railings, built in benches and a pergola. He got in every nook and cranny and covered every last inch of deck. We would definitely use Brian again.

 + 0 moreUnfortunately, we were gone both times, but the work appeared to be done in a very professional manner and we are very pleased with the results. There was no damage to plants around the deck. The stain has a very natural appearance and the grain of the wood looks particularly attractive.

Brian returned my phone call the same day and came by within 2 days to look at the deck. I didn't get around to calling him back for about 3 months, but when I did it was the same thing...Brian returned my call the same day! He came out once to power wash the deck and then returned a few days later to stain it. My old deck in now beautiful! Brian did an outstanding job and I am so pleased with my deck. Brian is very professional and works hard for customer satisfaction. He even got a good recommendation from a paint store!
