Brian from Indy Deck Magic has worked on our deck at least 3 times over the past few years to re-stain it due to an apparent defect in the wood used to build the deck about 5 or 6 years ago. For some reason, stain doesn't seep into the wood as one would expect. Instead bubbles appear and the stain peels up in places (almost like paint peeling). We can only go a couple of years between staining. Brian has been diligent about working on the deck and the first time we had this problem with the stain bubbling and peeling he came back and reapplied stain. He can't figure out why this problem continues year after year (no one can). This year he came back out and again power washed and scraped the deck and then stained it. It looks good, but we were disappointed that he left piles of peelings all over the yard and in the landscaping that borders our deck. It took my wife and I over an hour to clean up and that aspect of the job was unprofessional. This gave me the impression Brian is tired of coming back and dealing with our deck.

The results are excellent and we are very pleased. As he was cleaning the concrete, he noticed that we had three cedar benches that had grayed significantly over the years and he cleaned those as well. GREAT!! Brian was responsive, pleasant and able to do the job in short order. He also cleaned my two wooden steps to my front deck and cedar mailbox post to show how the system brought back stained wood to it's original appearance. It was good to speak directly to him as owner/operator to understand exactly how the process would take place and to know he would be standing behind his work. His process brought back the concrete to its original appearance and we know it's protected. I highly recommend him.

We were very pleased with their work when they finished. However, after the sealer dried, we discovered several places that had not been painted. Brian returned to take care of that. The deck felt sticky after it had had time to dry. Brian said it was because of the high humidity and that the stickyness would eventually go away. After about four weeks we began using the deck but it remained sticky for three months. Had we been forewarned abou this being a potential problem, we would have chosen a different sealer.

Initially when I called, Brian, the owner, was very responsive. Their competitive estimate and good rating on Angie's List help me decide to use this company. I also liked that they used a hot-water pressure washer and the fact that they were able to finish the work within the same week I had made the initial phone call. He was very professional, cordial and did an excellent job cleaning the house. Even though I didn't request it, he did honor a $50 discount for being an Angie's List member.

Had my two story vinyl/brick home pressure washed by Indy Deck Magic. I was not home when this was done and was disappointed when I saw the results. I had to clean a lot of dirt from around the first floor windows - dirt that accumulated on the vinyl wrap around the windows. It came off easy, which made me wonder why pressure washing didnt get it off. Additionally, there is still a lot of dirt on the underside of the second story gutters. I put a note in w/my payment about this, but never heard back.

Everything went very well. The estimate arrived very fast and he was able to do the work within the same week. The cost was about half of what another deck company wanted to charge. The driveway looks nice and clean and the sealant is not noticeable until water gets on the driveway - then the water beads very well.

He nearly worked nonstop for 2 days and the quality of his service was exceptional. Our deck looks beautiful! We'd hightly recommend him to anybody! He's a honest and reliable guy!

Overall the service was great. He arrived on time and completed the work within two days. The deck looks very nice. There are a few light spots but in general the deck looks very much improved.

The first visit Brian gave me a brochure of the product he uses and explained why he preferred this product. He went to the trouble to match the stain to my exterior paint. The deck is a second story one with no access except from inside. He had to lug all of his equipment up a ladder, which made me feel badly for him, but he didn't complain at all. He was very professional and pleasant and we are happy with the end product.

Later in the week (we were out of town) he came to apply the stain/sealer after the wood had dried.The deck looks great!

First, Brian is a nice guy and very easy to work with. He returned my phone message requesting an estimate on power washing and sealing our deck within a couple of hours. He came by, and left us a written estimate and some information about his hot water pressure cleaning method within a couple of days of my original call. By the time I got back with Brian to ask him to do the work, he was scheduling for about 3 weeks out, which was fine with us. We scheduled the power washing for a Monday, and Brian, as he said he would, called us on Sunday to remind us he would be there in the morning to clean the deck. Brian arrived as scheduled on Monday, and did a great job of cleaning the deck, originally built in 1996. The wood looked almost new again. When he was finished washing the deck, Brian said he would be back the next day to apply the stain/sealer after the wood had dried, but he wouldn't be able to apply it, if it was raining or had been raining -- as was being forcast. It did rain the next day, but Brian and an his assistant arrived bright and early on Weds to seal the deck (and they did it on one of the most brutally hot and humid days of this hot summer!). The deck looks great. Brian's price was a slight bit higher than I expected (hoped for?), but he provides great service and value. We're couldn't be more satisfied with the work he did, and how our deck looks.

Brian arrived on time for the estimate. He arrived at the agreed time for the work. Finished job in a professional manner. He used named brand solid stain. I would have Brian work again. It was a pleasure doing business with Brian.

job was scheduled quicker than I thought it would be, which was great. A face to face meeting in the beginning might have saved a few e-mails but he was always very prompt in the follow ups with me. He cares about his service and it shows.
