I'm preparing to put my house on the market and decided I should get my dock and deck stained and sealed. Brian came out while I was at work a few days later and called me while he was at my house. Brian said in his opinion all I really needed was a good power wash and some algae killer on my deck rather than paying for a complete stain and seal process. I told him I was planning to put the place on the market right after Labor Day. Brian said since it was a smaller job he could fit it in the following week. Brian called the day before he was going to do the job to let me know his plan. When I got home, the job was done and it does like just fine.

Now, that is called quality service!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although, the job was completed only today, I was impressed enough not to wait long enough to see how well the job will turn out after a season of changing of weather. For that, I will write another review at a later time. Today, I just want to say that I am very much pleased with Brian's sense of professionalism in all aspects of the job, from the first contact to the finish line. Brain truly takes pride in his job, and displays much passion for what he does. He delivers a top-quality output, paying lots of attention to details, including the area surrounding the contracted surfaces. It is true that the price Brian charges might be a bit higher than the average price offered by his competitors, but it is also true that he delivers much better than average service, leaving a customer like me feeling that it was worth every dollar I spent on this project. I will call for his service again in future, and I will recommend Brian to my neighbors and friends. Thanks Indy Deck Magic.

We were very pleased with the professionalism and quality of Indy Deck Magic's work. Our 2000 square foot home was quite a mess due to the various storms and frankly years of not powerwashing it on a regular basis. Our deck, which is quite large, had also been neglected over the past decade. It was very exciting to see the results of their work! I remember walking out on to the deck (prior to the sealing/staining process) and just standing there - amazed at how clean and bright it was. It gave the backyard a whole new personality. The house looked so nice after a through washing too. And if that wasn't enough, they also went ahead and powerwashed and cleaned our poor gutters. It wasn't a request - it wasn't quoted - it wasn't charged. We very much appreciate the quality of the services we contracted for and the above and beyond piece was a pleasant surprise.

Very responsive. Slight delay waiting for rain to pass and contractor to get caught up. Called in advance to schedule work. Came as promised and cleaned all areas in one day. Returned the next day to seal the deck. Communicated through the entire process. Deck had been cleaned within last three years but this process left it looking better than any previous work.

Brian actually came and did the work one week earlier than scheduled. When he power washed the deck, porch floor , stairs and rails w/ hot water, he also washed the brick of the chimney to remove some mold, and power washed our fountain rock to remove a build-up of algae. These items were done at no additional charge. The work was completed in 2 days, with an additional worker on the second day. We were very pleased that the work was completed so quickly and efficiently. The deck looks great!!

Originally contacted on recommendation from a neighbor in late May. He was scheduling about a month out at the time and I was preparing to schedule a roof replacement. Brian suggested that I wait until after roof was replaced. I called him the day the roof was finished and he worked me in to his schedule within a week. He power washed the deck and a few days later came back and stained and sealed it. It looks great! He also gave me tips on how to maintain it over time. Very pleased with the service and will use again in the future.

Brian answered all my questions without hesitation. He walked me through how he would perform the task. I was pleased with his performance, and I would use him again. He brought to my attention a cracked storm window and areas that had rust stains on the siding which he could not take care of. I was pleased that he brought these items to my attention.

I called Brian for a quote which I accepted. They came out one day and cleaned the decks and then a following day to stain the decks. I have used them quite a few times. They are easy to get ahold of and do a very good job.

Overall, Brian did a good job. He was kind enough to spend an hour on the phone with our insurance company as his estimate came in above the insurance companies estimate. Ultimately, the insurance company agreed to pay is estimate. We really appreciated that. Brian was punctual and arrived and did the work on time and as promised. The balcony was likely a challenge for him, but he completed that work well. Now for a couple small criticisms: He trimmed our white pine next to our deck without asking first. It wasn't a lot, but we're very particular about trimming that tree as it provides privacy to our deck and and these types of trees don't respond well to trimming (i.e. they don't grow back that well). The small branches trimmed were not picked up and were left in our rock landscaping. The tree was touching the deck, but it seems like this could have been easy to worked around. In any event, its a good idea to tell the homeowner first before trimming their trees. He did work around our tomatoes and we appreciate that. Second, I was hoping for a darker stain like the cedar stain that we had used on the deck before. I talked to Brian about this prior, but he convinced me that the natural stain would be dark enough. It was not. I do wish he had been a little more responsive to our requests for a darker stain, rather than pushing the natural one.

Brian arrived on a Saturday to power wash the deck and fence which were about 8 months old and in good shape. However, just he hot water wash made a difference. He returned 2-3 days later and stained both as well as a newly installed raised garden frame. Brian and another man worked efficiently and did a wonderful job. Everyone who stops by complements the deck's appearance. Great work!

Perfect. This is the second time we had Brian and his team out to do our deck. He did the same deck 6 1/2 years ago and we had him back this June. Prompt, professional and courteous. After they were finished you would not know they had worked on the deck that day. Everything picked up and no over spray. The deck, of course, looks fantastic.

Brian did a great job on my deck and it looks terrific! He also washed off mossy areas of my brick wall and washed the outside of my hot tub and outdoor furniture. The driveway looks great too--lots of spots are gone. I have asked him to come back to do another patio.

Brian was very prompt and did a great job of staining the my wooden deck. I wanted to have the deck stained before too much of the cottonwood seed started flying around. Even though he had a full schedule, he was able to rearrange his work to fit me in. He did the power wash on one day and then came back a couple of days later and stained the deck. It looks great and he covered all the deck and railings. I will keep his information since I will want to use him again after the stain starts to wear off. This was one of Angie's Big Deals.

Brian did an excellent job and the deck looks fine.

Brian Mayes arrived exactly on time and power washed a very dirty deck, with mold from surrounding trees. He also cleaned the handrails and rungs and three large benches that are part of the deck - as well as the proch of my potting shed. Then Brian went "above and beyond" and cleaned the mold off the front of the shingles on the potting shed, the stepping stones on the garden pathway, the side of the house (attached to the deck) and the lawn furniture. I will use him again.

We called Indy Deck to come and look at our very large deck because the stain was really faded and just looked bad. We had it cleaned and stained by another company 2 yrs ago. Brian came out sooner than he expected to be able to and gave us a very good estimate for the job but said his honest opinion was that it didn't need to be restained, it just needed to have a really good cleaning with warm water and some touch up. He gave us a price that he would charge if we really wanted it restained but it really doesn't need it but would do it if we insisted. I commend this company for being so honest with us and not taking our money unnecessarily and really appreciated his honesty and council. Just very impressed by him. We did not hire him to do the cleaning up of the deck ONLY because we called the original company who did the stain and they also took full responsibility and have made arrangements to back up their word and warranty and have also been wonderful. Would recommend Indy Deck Magic to anyone.

We called Brian a few weeks ago. He remembered doing our deck in 2010, He explained that he was running behind because of the weather, but would get to us as soon as possible. Last week he was able to get to us and power-washed the deck on one day and applied the statin the next. Even after the power-washing the deck looked 100% better, but the stain really made it look great.. We plan to use him again and would recommend his services to others. My only criticism would be the price. I think for the amount of time and materials it took to do the job, he price is a bit steep. But that's the price you pay to make sure that things are done properly.

Brian is very professional, and I was happy to be able to request a quote through his website and avoid "phone tag" just trying to set up a time for him to look at the deck. He stopped by the house and left a quote for us in our mailbox. We scheduled the work before the spring rush began, so he was able to powerwash the deck and patio within about 2 1/2 weeks. After we had a couple of days of rain, Brian came back and stained the deck. Brian did tell me when he powerwashed the deck approximately when he would return to do the staining, factoring in the weather forecast. My husband and I are VERY pleased with how great the deck looks -- even after just powerwashing, the deck looked brand-new! We had talked to several service providers, and the pricing is all about the same, but we had a gut feeling that Brian was the right person for the job, and the reviews on Angie's List confirmed that.

Job took two visits and he came out just when he said he would. Wasted no time and got the job done quickly. Fast and friendly.

When I first called Brian, he was on vacation. He called as soon as he returned and came out to give an estimate. He power washed the deck, left it to dry for a few days and then came back today to apply the stain. Brian always answered his phone, and did the work when he said he would do it. He has a great attitude and did a good job. I would use him again.

Brian is terrific! Prompt with the estimate and the work. Great service, and even told me what to do maintenance-wise to make sure that I don't have to call him every year! I would recommend him to anyone!
