They never responded to my request for a quote. If they had simply called to say they were too busy, I wouldn’t have reviewed them at all.

It was really terrible. They put salt in the water softener and it solidified on the top of my unit. I called them today and told them that I saw that the light was blinking and that the salt was solid and not moving down. When I called them they said that they would call me back, however they sent me a text and said they were no longer going to be servicing my address.

Excellent. The rep called to say he was on the way and arrived when he said he would. Performed the service promptly and professionally. Highly recommend them. We have had the softener for about 11 years and have been very pleased with the product and service.

Very Good. The representative called to say he was on his way and arrived right on time. Very professional, very thorough and very courteous. They check my system each year and do a good job of keeping the system running at peak performance. Our system is nine years old and the rep showed me some of the parts that were worn and recommended replacing them at a reasonable price. Now we know the system is in good condition and we will continue to have soft water.

Disappointed in the technician's work. The company is very responsive and care's about the work it does. Problems arose after the work was finished. One of the owners later came to my home to address the issue that arose after the initial service.

The sales guy & his trainee were prompt & efficient. Not too much pressure which was nice. We went with a mid-grade softener based on our usage and water. The install was scheduled just 3 business days after the appointment - shew, we needed that. The installer called day of and asked if he could come early - I had to say no as we had a conflict. No problem. The installer (Dan? So sorry I've forgotten) was on time and installed the system and the needed drain line in less than 2 hours. The install is included in the price of the softener. Dan gave us good information about our particular set up and left us with the assurance that he would return if we needed him. You know what? We haven't needed him, but I believe he would have returned! Maybe people who do solid work are not afraid to offer that promise because it so rarely has to be fulfilled? Anyway, maybe we paid a little more for this system than if we'd grabbed one off the shelf at a hardware store, but we believe the professional install and the warranty are worth it.

They are average, lack luster. They come and test your water, and I haven't had any problems with it since I got it. They gave me a softener that I was impressed with. It uses a lot less salt. I was going through a bag or 2 of salt per month, and now I have just used 6 bags this year. I haven't had any problems with the softener that they have provided. I found out later, the cost was a little high. It took them a week to bring it out first, which I thought was slow.

Sales and installation representative were extremely professional. The contract was clear, as well as, the terms. I am satisfied with the customer services and the product service.

I got a great deal through them. I am renting the water softener, and for purchasing 6 months up front there was no instalation fee. Also, if I decide to purchase it at the end of my contract it will be applied to my purchase price. They provided exellent service.

I scheduled an appointment to trouble shoot my water softener that was not working correctly. The technician called 30 minutes before the appointment to let me know he was on the way. He arrived promptly at 9:00 am. Within 30 minutes the repair was completed and programed perfectly. The technician was polite and professional.

We initially found out about this system at our local Costco. Indianapolis Water had a sales person there, and I inquired about the product. The salesperson was knowledgable and helpful w/o being pushy or a hard sell--which I liked immediately. Went home and did some research, talked to my husband. We happened to be in Costco again and had hubby talk with sales rep. He also liked him and thought product was of good value and quality. Set up an appointment and purchased the system. Day of install went very well. The poor installer got into more than he realized, but he was very patient, and I could tell that he knew what he was doing and was going to take the time to do it right. He handled all the curves that were thrown at him without becoming frustrated or bad mouthing the sales rep. Overall it has been an excellent experience. We now have a great system and RO drinking tap at the sink and since we didn't have a finished basement, he also hooked it up to our refridgerator line for water and ice. He was also able to bypass the hose bibs so that we are not watering our lawn with soft water which would not be good for the lawn. So far so good!!!

Outstanding installation and service by the technician doing the installing! The technician acted as if he was the owner of the business and made us feel as if we were their only customer. Perfect excecution of customer service!

They determined that the circuit board was failing, settings were frozen but softener still operating. Advised us that unit would still work for a while--pleased that they were honest and did not try to sell us a new one right away

They had me take a picture of my system and send it to them to make sure they could service it before they came out. They came out exactly when they said they would. He was very informative and explained everything to me. He told me I wouldn't have to have it serviced again for a couple years.

Our old water softener died. We called the company we had dealt with in the past. They came and checked it over, and stated it needed new pistons, valves, seals. This had already been done twice before. The unit was about 20+ years old. We weren't sure we wanted to continue putting $300 or more in it every couple of years. The service person gave me an estimate for repair work and what a new unit would cost. He was here about 15 minutes. I paid the service fee and said I would get back with them. I spoke to my husband and we decided to send an email to our plumber, David Heffner. He suggested I checked with Indianapolis Soft Water Service and ask for Ben. I did that. I spoke to Ben on the phone for about 20-30 minutes. I explained the problems we were having with the old system, what had been recommended, etc. He went over my concerns and questions I had. Explained things thoroughly. I understood there would be a service fee for them to come out to look and give me their recommendations. Gregg Smith came out on Tuesday, Jan. 8 and spent time looking over evaluating the water softener. He made his recommendations, I talked with my husband, and we decided to go with the new product, Hellenbrand Pro-mate 6.5 Water Softener. Both Ben and Gregg spent time talking with me to make sure I understood what the differences were in what we had and in what we were purchasing. I liked the fact that they took their time and were not rushed in to making the sale. We had one little mishap,the following day, with water being under the salt brine tank. Gregg got back with me and told me what to do until someone could come look at the unit. Gregg was able to get back and check out the salt brine tank. One of those problems that is hard to figure out because there was no sign of leakage coming from anywhere. He reset the softener to regenerate at the current time, and there were no problems. Just a mystery. Eventhough, we paid for 2 service calls (2 different companies), we are very satisfied with Indianapolis Soft Water Service. We would recommend them to others with no hesitation. The only advice I would offer is check with your friends, or people you use on a regular basis, and get recommendations from them about what companies to use or who they recommend for various projects.

Our old water softener was having problems...and we hoped to have it repaired. These folks came out and told us what it would take to do the repair and compared that with buying new. (We asked about a new unit because our old unit was very old!) There was no pressure...they just left us with options. We ordered the new softener. It was a very good price compared to others I shopped. Installation was scheduled in a timely way. The installer arrived on time, cleaned up really well, and trained us on how to monitor the unit. Overall, an excellent experience. I highly recommend Ben and his team!

The service man, I believe his name was Dave, was very informative, courteous, professional and prompt. He answered all my questions. I would and will call this company again if I have any more problems with my water softener. It is so nice to have service companies you can trust and don't rip you off! Our experience from beginning to end, from the first conversation with the owner Ben, to the professional service from Gregg the water conditioning specialist, couldn't have been better. We were able to keep an 8 year old water softener going. Gregg went over and above the call of duty by noticing the copper plumbing had been gradually pulling down the meter and subsequently allowing dirt to enter the turbine and connectors. Gregg drilled into the concrete wall of our basement in order to install a pipe clamp to buttress the pipes so the meter would be then plumb. We had to call the office that evening because we found water on the floor. Thew next morning, Gregg determined that the O rings were faulty and replaced them to our complete satisfaction. We will NEVER consult with a plumber again when it comes to our water softener. We now know that there is such an animal as a water technician who is certified. We had questions about the hardness of our city water, and the possible chemicals in the system. Gregg was extremely knowledgeable and able to explain how things work in a manner we could understand. I highly recommend this company. In addition to repairs, they sell and rent water softeners and also provide drinking water. Their website is easy to navigate for information.

I had a water softener go dead, shopped around and had Culligan and Kinetico out, both told it it needed replaced, manufacture was out of business. Quotes ranged from $1600(culligan)-$3500(kinetico). I called Indy Soft Water and paid for a service call and the guy told me he had the exact refurbishing kit in stock and could fix it for $100. I moved forward with his advise and am very happy so far that I called them.
