We are the original owners of a 21 year old house. The original windows had been deteriorating over the last few years, and we tired of replacing window inserts and repairing wood rot. Looking at what we paid for such repairs and the inefficiency of the windows, it became evident to us that replacement might be more cost effective in the long run. Four alternative window contractors were considered, from inexpensive vinyl up through high quality brand name windows. We are value buyers - looking for high quality, pleasing aesthetics, professional service, and reasonable price. We also wanted full frame replacement, rather than taking the shortcut (of installing a window inside of your original frame) many window contractors take to curb costs. Far and away, Clevernest provided us the best value, and their follow through on their commitments and promises could not have been better. We cannot overemphasize how pleased we are with the results. We could have gone with a much cheaper alternative, but it would not have been the best solution for our home. Not only are the new windows beautiful, they are substantial, well built, and perfectly installed. From the first contact with Clevernest through post installation follow-up, Clevernest could not have been more professional. The sales process was consultative and low pressure. We believed Clevernest kept our best interests in mind with their recommendations. They were also able to help us stay on our budget by taking the time to consider alternative configurations that turned out to be more suitable for our home and lifestyle than the original window types and configuration in our home. The project coordinator from their office kept us informed every step along the way and exhibited great concern for our preferences and satisfaction, and the installation crew did a marvelous job with the install. They were meticulous in their work, and respected both us and our home during the process. We have had many contractors through our home over the years, and none compare to Clevernest's approach to sales and operations, or professionalism. As an example, we had a glitch with the window trim the builder used in our house. Some of it needed to be replaced, but it turned out it was custom milled and unavailable. However, Clevernest took on the task of resolving our issue and it was to our satisfaction. They went above and beyond our expectations in all aspects of the project. If you are looking to replace your windows, considering Clevernest is a must. We whole-heartedly recommend them and encourage you to contact them. Again, we could not be more pleased. It was the right decision.

Excellent. Tom was patient when we were getting competing quotes and was always available to meet and answer our questions. Ultimately, we knew what we were getting with his company, and the excellent crew provided the quality we expected. His staining crew was a little slower than we had expected, but they were professional perfectionists who were able to perfectly match the staining on the window trim to the various rooms in the house. We now plan to replace the last two windows that really don't need it, plus remaining doors in the home, through Clevernest so that all are the same quality.

We spent several months shopping for all new windows for entire house - having in-home consultations from all the players (e.g., window companies, big box stores, builders). Clevernest by far provided the most value, education and quality in our experience. The windows were high quality Andersen windows. While others were trying to sell us baseline 100 series that were window inserts only, Clevernest provided us with 400 series and E series windows that were full frame replacements at the same cost or less. In fact, the price was $5,000 less than quotes for the same window installation from the big box stores, whose pricing varies heavily depending on what promotion they run each month. Clevernest measured our windows and gave us a no nonsense price. Installation was easy, professional and on-time. We did not know Tom or Stacy before this process but found they were helpful, easy to work with and have long-standing reputations building homes, renovating buildings and installing windows in this market. I wish we had called them first, but then again we never would have known the exceptional quality and value we truly were getting.

We were happy with the job that Clevernest did in replacing our wood windows and sliding glass door. We chose to go with their Alside vinyl windows (they also offer Anderson wood windows). Tom did a great job in explaining our options and we appreciated having a showroom where we could go and see the actual product. Please note that Clevernest contracts with Alside installers to install their vinyl windows so you will not see them during the install process. We did not totally understand this upfront and assumed Clevernest's installers would be around. We had some confusion with what the final installed product would look like b/c Clevernest and Alside had a different impression of how to finish the inside trim when transitioning from wood to vinyl windows. Thankfully we were able to halt the install process on day 1 and Tom was willing to come out and talk to us about the difference in what we had been told by him and what Alside was doing. Clevernest made good on their initial promise to us and finished out the work with what we had been told (solid wood trim vs. vinyl wrapped particle board trim). We were thankful the finished product was what we were expecting, though it did slow the install process down and took longer than we had been told initially. The Alside Team did a good job with the actual installation. They took their time and worked with us to make sure we were happy with each window (including working to fix a window that was slightly unlevel). One window had a problem with the protective coating and Alside made good on their warranty right away and sent out a replacement within weeks.

They removed the front door with two sidelights and installed a new door and sidelights.

The entire transaction went very smoothly. We got the product we were looking for - an energy efficient French door to replace a 35 year old patio door. Tom came to our home at the appointed time and sent his measuring specialist out to do a final measurement as the door wasn't a standard size. The custom door was ordered just before the holidays and was installed before the end of January. The installer took special care to lay drop cloths on the carpet and to hang a barrier while the old door was removed. The new door was installed and every bit of trash was cleaned up and hauled away within a few hours. In all, a very pleasant experience.

It went very well. The crew was on time, professional and extremely hard working. They cleaned up when they were done and were extremely pleasant to work with.

It started off in trying to find a place to buy some replacement parts for our Thermatru doors. They listed a number of options on the Thermatru website including the big box stores, but none could help me. Then I tried Clevernest, who has their office just north of us. I traded information with Stacy there and got her all the info that I had determined in conjunction with Thermatru customer support and their website. She was very helpful and friendly even though this was just a small spare parts order. I had called Thermatru for help in selecting the right spare parts and they had directed me to the website. Based on the website, I gave part numbers to Stacy and she got a quote for us (after sorting through some discontinued items). We then put in the order. Unfortunately, once we got the parts, the astragal was the reverse of what was expected (the information on the website was unclear about choosing left or right). Stacy helped us to a good resolution in replacing this wrong part with the correct part. She really went out of her way for us and we very much appreciate her help and attentiveness. We would certainly strongly consider them for actual projects.

The entire process went well, from initial quote through to finalization of the installation. Owner Tom McHaffie reviewed the project with us, and had all of our (minor) details handled without charge or delay.

They did a wonderful job. They cleaned up the area very well when the project was done. Everything went just fine as planned, and we love the new windows. They are beautiful.

Tom McHaffie was knowledgeable and professional. I wanted a door that would swing out onto our screen porch with one side to remain fixed out the option of opening when needed. Tom presented several options, and assisted with matching my paint colors. Tom's team was also very accommodating about replacing the trim they installed around the door to more closely match by paint.

It was a very smooth process! Tom, the owner made it easy to get the initial quote with my busy schedule. I paid my deposit and waited about 4 weeks for the windows to come in. The installer was extremely courteous and detail oriented. So while the installation took a few weeks for all the windows (we had subzero temperatures delay installation frequently), the outcome was great!

Got 4 estimates for this project and after much deliberation decided to go with Tom and his crew at Clevernest. Price was inline with 2 of the other bids but the deciding factor was the quality of windows themselves, my confidence that Tom actually cared about the work that would get done and his knowledge of the different products out there. He also graciously put up with my indecisiveness on which product to go with. Knew frames would be rotted but water damage to bump out on one set of windows was beyond my expectation and the installation crew was able to completely rebuild that in one day. Overall project took longer than expected because a window arrived damaged from factory and took a while to get replacement in. I wanted new windows to be stained and the staining crew did absolutely beautiful work. Having tried to assess different colors on my own I have no idea how the stain crew got the windows looking so beautiful from the colors I picked. The finished project ended up being absolutely spectacular far exceeding what I thought they would be. I also have been closely monitoring the windows through this brutal winter and even in the fiercest cold you can stand next to the windows with no drafts at all. I definitely would recommend Clevernest for your window project and look forward to doing phase 2 with them this year.

I worked with Tom McHaffie from Clevernest for replacing our windows. They were original to the house (125+ years old) and the installation crew took fantastic care to handle the removal of the old windows properly. They put dropcloths over everything in the house, took their shoes off at the door (huge bonus points!), and vacuumed very thoroughly upon completion. The first day they had the old windows removed and the new Andersen Woodwright insert windows installed. The immediate transformation was incredible! We noticed right away a huge difference in the temperature comfort and noise reduction within our home - we could literally feel wind blowing in through some of our windows and we live very close to I-65 so it can get pretty noisy. The next couple of days were spent filling voids with spray foam insulation, installing new stops on the interior, caulking, and wrapping the sills on the outside with aluminum coil. They also replaced a couple of sills that were rotted out. There was one window that had a minor manufacturers defect and neither me or my wife could tell what was wrong with the window, but Tom and his crew were honest (when they very easily could have walked away without saying anything and we wouldn't have known until sometime down the road) and they ordered a replacement from Andersen and got it all taken care of. The windows initially came with the wrong sash lifts, but Tom made sure that we got the right ones installed without any issues. The new windows are beautiful and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome! We feel much more secure and comfortable in our home especially heading into winter now with a newborn (the energy savings will be a bonus too). And that is a testament to both the product (Andersen) and the installers (Clevernest). Tom is an honest and fair person, does a great job, and is a pleasure to work with! All-in-all, definitely worth the extra coin vs. cheaper windows. Would definitely recommend Clevernest if you're in the market for new windows!

I will probably buy 4 more windows from them in the spring. I really liked them. The windows are great and they did a good job in a timely fashion.

I called Tom @ Clevernest Windows and Doors on the 15th of July to get a quote for the replacement of two double hung windows in master bedroom. He came out the next day and and quoted me a price and I agreed to do the job with them. I had already gotten 2 other bids ranging from $1,700.00 to just under $1,100.00 and Clevernest was the middle priced. Tom told me that a follow up measurement would be scheduled for the following week and it happened as he said on the 23rd. The installer measured the windows and told me to expect them in 6 to 8 weeks. They were installed in 7. The installer was very nice and informative about the process. Showed up on date scheduled at the correct time installed the 2 windows cleaned up and was gone in less than 2 hours. I was very pleased with the whole process the people were nice, clean, and most important they kept their word about returning calls and being on time for appointments. We had been researching the market for replacement windows for about 2 years and were never quite satisfied with the quality of the windows being offered or the companies offering the windows and their high-pressure sales tactics. This past March we saw Anderson Windows being offered by Clevernest at the Indianapolis Home Show. Tom McHaffie spent over an hour explaining the replacement window process and how Anderson Windows compared to other windows being offered as replacement windows. All the other companies we had approached were only interested in obtaining an appointment so they could come to our house to answer our questions and only wanted to discuss their windows in very general terms. Tom answered all our questions about the windows including ?general? pricing for the windows which none of the other replacement window companies would do without having to come to our house for an appointment. When we were done all Tom asked was if he could call us in June to see if we were interested in having him come and give us an estimate. He came in June and we agreed to have 14 windows replaced. His crew arrived the day they were scheduled. They were very professional and careful as they performed their work. All 14 windows were installed by the end of the 3rd day and after the job was finished everything appeared as if nothing had been disturbed. After the job was complete Tom came back to make sure the work was done properly and that we were satisfied. We have had Tom make an estimate to replace some windows at our son?s house because of our positive experience with the replacement window process at our house.

Tom, the owner explained all the many options available from Andersen and actually gave us several different configured estimates. We settled on the A-Series. We couldn't be happier with the professionalism and integrity of Tom McHaffie the owner and with his installers and painters. They were able to accommodate our desire to not have to take down our fairly complex drapes, they moved artwork.

I love the product from Clevernest Inc, they use Anderson windows, they are very professional, great price point for a quality window, there were other people that we got a quote with a lesser quality of window and so we got a better window for the same price. We really liked that, they were very professional and did a great job.
