Great experience all around. Ken Bennett is very professional about making appointments for estimates at a convenient time. The worker who came to the house was polite, quick, and did good work.

I contacted Home Experts via email requesting estimates for detailed work we wanted done, i.e., replace a threshold on back porch, remove carpet, pad and tack strips from a bedroom, remove ceramic tile that are on 3/4 up 4 walls in a 6' x 5' half bath, have the walls prepped, painted and have baseboard and quarter round installed. Response from Ken was immediate, as was his arrival to look at what we wanted done. We opted to only have the threshold and bedroom done, and at that, we felt the estimate was a bit high.....$160.00 to replace and paint the wood on the threshold....we provided the paint. $145.00 to remove carpet, pad, tack strips and haul it all away.....we removed all but a sofa from this room, so he didn't have to move anything out. Estimate to take care of the ceramic tile on the walls in the small 1/2 bath was over $1300.00, which was a bit much.....Remove the tile on the walls in the half bath, also remove the drywall down to studs. Install new drywall taped and finished, prime joints to make sure it was finished properly, ready for paint. Material and labor.....$670.00; Remove and reset the sink, and toilet, new supply line for toilet, new wax ring.....$210.00; install new base trim and shoe mold around perimeter, caulked and ready for paint ..... $140.00; prime the new drywall, paint walls and new base trim 2 coats latex flat on walls and semigloss on trim. Paint provided by us.....$220.00. We used Home Experts for the first time earlier in 2012 and were very pleased with their work and price quote for the work that needed to be done. We are also pleased with their recent work. We often find that we don't typically use most companies more than once as it appears their quotes for any given job is much higher than it should normally be.

Very pleasant experience all around. Ken Bennett was able to meet with us very quickly to provide an estimate. He arrived on-time and quoted the repair costs to us promptly. He scheduled the repairs leaving plenty of time for all the work to be completed before the scheduled painting of our home. The carpenter, Bob, arrived on time and got right to work. He was very confident in his abilities and came prepared to complete all the projects. Upon review of the work performed, all three projects were well done and the work areas were clean. I believe that we've found a company to call whenever our 100 year old home needs work in the future. Thank you Ken and thank you Bob. Great job.

I indicated both jobs over the phone (a couple of different times) when I set up the appointment. Repairs on the soffet started first. The "handy man" (not the owner) actually never came to the door and just started going to work on the soffet. I thought this was a little odd that he didn't knock and let me know that he was here, but didn't make a big deal out of it. He spent a good bit of time (almost an hour and a half) and attention toward the soffet repair and the quality of the work done was very good. When he was done with the soffet, he packed up his truck and was ready to leave. Came to the door to report on the soffet and to collect payment. I then told him that I was to have my siding issue fixed as well and that I had a coupon that I had already paid for via Angie's list. He seemed a bit annoyed that he had more work to do and had already packed up his ladder and tools on his truck, but it wasn't my fault that this was not communicated to him. I had spoken to the individual on the phone about both jobs... plus the guy never came to my door until after he had packed up and was ready to leave. Overall I feel like for the money I spent I am happy with the quality of the work and would do again, but just for the sake of constructive criticism, I would like to encourage Home Experts to be a bit friendlier and communicate better. But their expertise and the quality of the work they did for us... I would definitely hire them again.

I bought the gift certificate for my daughter for her birthday. She thought he did a great job and completed her projects perfectly. We were very happy with all that was done and would certainly hire him again.

The handyman applied crown molding to my kitchen cabinets and hung a cabinet in my bathroom. He did a great job. He arrived on time, was professional, and even stayed a little longer to finish the job without an extra charge because he thought the job shouldn't have taken him as long as it did. Overall a great experience!

I called and left a message for Mr. Bennett 6 days ago about repairs needed on my home and he has yet to return my call.

Ken was great. Easy to work with and did great work. We've had our screen door replaced every summer for the last few years, and the one he put in has been the sturdiest we have ever have.

Just as good as you would hope for. Quite prompt, neat organized work, polite, fair price. No lame excuses, up charges or misunderstanding with work request or quoted charge.

I scheduled the appointment and Ken made time to come to our home to take a look at what we needed done at which point he gave us pricing (including a 10% off AL discount). We scheduled work for a day when my husband could be home from work and Ken came bright and early with a few helpers. Overall, they were extremely efficient, kind and seemed pleased to help us knock out some big (and small) projects. I would highly recommend Ken and Home Experts and we will definitely be calling them again!

They are very honest, straightforward, communicate well, and have reasonable prices. Ken Bennett the owner and his staff are a delight to work with.

I was readily impressed with the professionalism of Ken and his team. He rapidly responded to emails and questions, and ensured that things were documented/visually presented to me so we were both on the same page. Ken scheduled the work to begin according to my schedule, and was promptly there. Throughout the project I was aware of what was being conducted, and he kept me apprised of when various parts of the room would be completed. Ken scheduled walk-throughs on a regular basis so we could review details and answer questions. The project went quite smoothly, and he even apologized when construction took a few days longer than planned. His team were prompt, courteous, and worked diligently, paying attention to detail while also keeping the work area contained. Ken's attention to detail were very evident throughout the project and the final walkthrough. I would readily hire Ken for projects again.

Ken Bennett quickly responded and said he would pick them up at no charge. Took us literally. He was professional and responsive to emails/calls. I was very impressed and will recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. I will definitely give them a call again this fall when I need some repairs done on my house. 2 minutes to get taken care of.

Blinds were cut to hang inside the window casing (which was discussed that morning). Came home to find blinds hung outside the window casing. Another contractor was present during the day of work for a basement project. At the end of the day it was obvious both contractors had spent some time chatting about my projects instead of working! Very unprofessional.

Ken answered the phone right away and was able to get out to look at the damage to the siding in a short period. He fixed it quickly.

Ken came out the same day we called him. He didn't charge us for his visit, and gave us his professional opinion on the window. He is knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I had a bird nest x 2 in my exterior exhaust vent so I decided to use a handyman service so that the problem could be removed AND fixed. They did just that! I left a message early one evening. They called me back the same day to discuss the situation. Showed up the next day to assess the job and returned the same day with the necessary materials to cage the vent and completed the repairs. The bird/nest were proprely removed (it required a visit to the attick!). They even painted the vent so that it would match the exterior of my home. They were top notch in all areas prompt; professionl, and responsive. He cleaned up behind themself as well. The job was completed timely and at the quoted price. As a knew resident to Indiana, I was so glad to have Angie's list to find a reputable service. I will definately call them again!

The next day I was proactively contacted by Mr. Bennett requesting what work needed to be performed and determine what worked with my schedule. I was impressed with the overall responsiveness and professionalism. I never had to leave a message wondering if he would call back. The installer arrived on time, was courteous and cleaned up after himself. Overall a very good experience.

They did good work. I liked the price, which was very reasonable. The employee seemed like he really knew what he was doing and he was able to get the work done very efficiently and very timely.

Ken came out and looked at the job. Later he emailed the estimate. We went back and forth on price as I thought it was high, but we finally agreed to a figure. Ken called later and made an appointment to come out May 9th to do the work. We waited all day, but they didn't show up or call. Approximately 3 weeks later Ken sent an email to set up an appointment to do the job. I responded with my own email to inform he we found another Angies list handyman and the work was completed. angie,

Ken came out and provided the estimate. When I had approved the price, he scheduled for the following week. We were very pleased with the quality of service.

They did a great job. They were very courteous, clean and they cleaned up after themselves. They did what they said they were going to do for the price they charged. They showed up when they said when they would. We have called them for a couple of other things as well.
