Another BigDeal company told me they wouldn’t work in my house. This company did the two jobs that the other company turned down, and added in about three more as well. They got my drawer fixed, put up a tool rack in my garage, and fixed two doors that were sticking. It felt like two years of handy work was done in about two hours. I'd definitely advise other people using him.

Overall it went great. He showed up on time and made sure he understood what I wanted done. He was very thorough. He moved furniture and then when he was finished he made sure everything was back in its place.

Average job - all lights he installed worked, but those he could not fix he simply left unfixed.

I called Ken and left a message. He called that afternoon but I missed the call. I called again the following morning and he answered. I explained that we had a clogged toilet but it wasn't a rush job since it was in the basement. Nevertheless, he had someone in the area and was able to get here a few hours later. Josh called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. Josh arrived on time, was courteous and very professional. Extremely happy with the service.

After the installation the tiles started cracking and lifting up. I now have about 50 loose tiles. I had him come back in to look at the tiles along with the tile company and he said he wasn't willing to do anything to fix it. The tile company offered to stand behind their product and replace the tiles, but I would still have to cover the expense of having the tiles removed and then reinstalled.

Gentleman was very nice to work with. I had a few loose handles on items and the towel racks in the restroom were coming loose. He tighten all loose items and replaced a couple of nuts in one of the items. He fixed those things I asked him to fix. Money was never discussed about anything else as I paid Angie's List directly. Very professionalism and helpful. I would use him again.

Ken came out and made detailed list, gave estimate, scheduled visit. His brother performed the actual work. It was done quickly and at the time we requested.

The handyman who came to our house for the $79/2 hrs Big Deal did wonderful job. He accomplished 4 or 5 things in only 2 hours, he cleaned up after himself and was very profesional and pleasant. I was excited to have found a great handman service, so I asked for follow up quotes on other things we needed done. Another man came to our home to see what we needed done and promised to have a quote within a few days. I didn't hear anything back, so after a week I called and he promised to have the quote ready the next day. I never heard back and haven't used Home Experts again.

This company performance was excellent. Here's the history, we were purchasing a home. The owner came out to provide estimates in which he was timely patient and thorough. The house we were purchasing the owner would not make repairs therefore we did not buy that house but we found another house and Ken was right there with us. When we found the second home he came out provided us an estimate and then our closing was delayed. We didn't close until the middle of December, but we had our furniture coming from, carpet cleaning, other installation and Ken worked his magic of working around all of these obstacles. His team was timely and neat, They cleaned up after themselves every evening. I highly recommend his service.

Ken Bennett came over to look at the existing door and the replacement door for suitability. He said all looked good and would send someone out to replace the door. The worked showed up and after he took the old door out he immediately had trouble trying to figure out how to best install the new door. My wife was home the entire time and saw this worker on the phone asking directions from someone on how to install the door. My wife saw this worked bang the new door into several walls and ceiling making small gouges. Once he dropped his hammer on our laminate floor leaving several dings in the laminate. This whole process took 7 hours! when I arrived home I notices the worked had left a wood shive to hold up the floor of the door on the outside. The work was unprofessional and there were multiple dings in our walls, flooring and ceiling. There were major gaps between door jamb and the door which allowed air to escape to the outside. that night we went out on our porch and the outside light didn't work. I called an electrician he showed up and showed me the outside wire had been cut due to the door installation. I paid $150 for the electrician just find that out. I called Ken the next day to report the electrical issue and asked that he pay me the $150. I did receive a check from Ken for the initial work and the electrical charge. I have waited to write this review because I was so upset. I had used this company in the past with mixed results. I didn't pursue Ken to repair the walls, ceiling, or laminate floor as I figured I was responsible because I stupidly used his company again. I will never use this company again. Homeowners beware.

Everything went fine. Ken Bennett the owner came out a week before the services to ensure he understood what we wanted to be done.

Ken was great. We had received a quote from a roofing company and it was a lot more expensive, to the point that we couldn't afford to have it done. I decided to buy an Angie's List membership to find someone reputable. He had good reviews so we chose him. We got our quote for a price we could afford (very reasonable). The repair was delayed due to rain, but he rescheduled and came out to fix it. The roof looks great and no more leaks. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Arrived on time. It was raining outside and I asked if he had anything to cover his shoes.He said he didn't but took off his shoes.I had some drywall to repair and he wondered why the company didn't send a drywall guy. He did the caulking and drywall repair and painted the repair.He was kind of messy.I asked if he had something to put on carpet to catch the caulking he was digging out. He said he had a vaccum to sweep it up.I didn't want that stuff getting ground into my carpet. Also found later a couple spots of paint that dripped on carpet. The company said they could caulk around the outside windows and would take around 4 hours. There wqs no place to caulk the outside windows except one in front of house. To try and caulk the others would be a waste of time and money. I don't think the company owners have very good communication with their workers.

After a burglary, I sent out a request for repair work to be done in my home to five Angie's Listed companies. I received back only one response. Ken Bennett from Home Experts was quick to respond to secure my front door and give me an estimate on the other repair work that needed to be done. He seems to have experience working with insurance companies. The drywall repair (an area about 9' x 9') was done expertly with one not able to see where the damage was done. I insisted on a door exactly like the one I had be installed which required ordering one which took some time. But the door was exactly like I had, so I was pleased. Home Experts painted the door.. (Here I would caution one to clarify who supplies the paint.) The door and sill replacement, the frame repair and lock installation and removing and re-installing the storm door took the better part of a day, but the workmanship is very nice. Mr. Bennett was quick to respond to any e-mails I sent him.

I bought a new home and had to get a few minor fixes done before moving in. Ken was really responsive and punctual in providing an estimate and answering the various questions I had. The actual person who performed the work came on time and provided timely updates. He did miss one of the items on the list but when I reminded him about that, he proceeded to fix that too. The service seemed a bit pricey, especially for the tub stoppers but I thought it was a good price for all items on the job combined. They let me use a 10% off coupon from Angie's list.. so that saved me some bucks. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

In May, 2012, I had a central air conditioner tune-up (from a company listed on Angie?s List, BTW). Approximately two months later, I asked a neighbor to do a chore in my basement and he found standing water. I hired a second air conditioner company to unclog the A/C pipe that had caused the leak. I called my insurance company to assess the damage and provide a repair estimate. October 15, Home Experts looked at the damage and compared it to the insurance company?s estimate and agreed to do the repairs. Home Experts worked from October 22 through October 24. They moved in an air mover and dehumidifier, replaced and painted four doors, replaced or repaired and painted damaged walls, cleaned the tile floor, and removed the debris. They treated and removed mold that was discovered. They performed some additional repairs in the basement for no additional charge. I am disabled and am unable to go down to the basement, but was shown before and after pictures and am very pleased. I would recommend Home Experts to anyone need repair and remodeling. I have used Home Experts several times over the past year and a half for repair, painting, and other projects. They have always provided fair estimates, come in on budget and done an excellent job. I consider them to be very trustworthy. I will use them again. .

Ken was the first contractor of 4 I contacted from Angie's List to come out and give an estimate. He was courteous and professional, and fit the work in quickly. He did quality work at a very reasonable price. I had 3 estimates from the 4 contractors contacted and Ken had the best price. I would hire Ken again if needed.

Called Ken Bennett for an estimate. He called back that day to set up his review of the job. He was very prompt, and helpful in scoping the job, pointing out suggestions and possibilities. His estimate was the most reasonable we had obtained. He bought the materials and installation came soon after. He was very good about keeping us informed about the status of the job. The workmen were pleasant and did a good job. The carpenter made several adjustments to provide a nicely finished installation.

It was a deal of 2hrs of handyman work for $79. He replaced the faucets in our kitchen and fixed a light that was not working in one of the bedrooms. He was going to replace the lock in a basement door but we did not have the right knobs.

They did a good job, but they only sent one guy and it took longer than I expected.

I got an email the next day saying that Ken wanted to come out and look at everything? That defeats the whole purpose of this quote system I think. A quote is just a ball park figure. It is not a contract. If I wanted a sales call then I would have contacted them directly. At least this company actually responded to the quote request. 2 of the 5 contacted have not even responded at all.

I contacted Home Experts in late September for an estimate on some work at our home and spoke directly with Ken. I arranged an appointment for him to come out to and do an evaluation the following week. He even phoned the night before to verify my home address. I was not home the day he came to the house but he told me I would receive an estimate later that day via email. Four days passed before I decided to call as I had not heard anything from him and had not received an estimate. When I called he told me his brother (?) was out at the house earlier in the week and had not given him the paperwork yet. He asked me to repeat my address and the nature of the work being requested at the time of this call and stated he would get something in writing to me later that day. Its now four days later and I still have not heard anything from the company.

From beginning to end excellent. Young man was courteous and skilled at what he did. No negatives. We would call them again.
