Ken Bennett went over all the details with me and provided a contract helping me decide what type of shower would work in our bathroom. His brother Kent came and removed all the old shower and cleaned up after. He then came to install the base of the shower. After that another worker, James came to install the tile and grout on the walls. He also cleaned up after. Then the grab bars and sliding bar for the faucet was installed by Rick. I want to say all the workers were very professional and answered all my questions. I neglected to ask for a new faucet for the shower but Ken was willing to do that for us and even came out on a Saturday to finish up. I really appreciated the extra effort. They also did a very good job of cleaning up after and I now have a safe and beautiful shower in our master bath.

It was pretty good. We didn't end up using them until August. They're very responsive as well.

Ken did a great job! Can't tell the holes were ever there. He was on time, friendly, and cleaned up. He is now the only handyman I'll be using.

They are very busy and it did take a bit of time to get a hold of them. Once we had an appointment scheduled, they were punctual. They were quick, clean, and efficient. They completed the entire job in one full day. They did quality work and were very cost effective. I would highly recommend them.

Me: I'd like to have an estimate scheduled... Home Experts: OK, sure. Me: ... for, I think it's just a small job, but I need an estimate to be sure. H.E.: Uh, I'm on the road, can I call you back in 10 minutes? Me: Sure. H.E.: At this number that you just called me from? Me: Yes, that's correct. H.E.: Okay, I'll call you in just a few minutes. The call back didn't happen. Did he completely forget in the space of 10 minutes? Maybe. Did his phone blow up so he lost my number? Doubtful, but possible. Did the words 'small job' make it of less interest to him? I don't know, but that's the impression I was left with. Whatever the actual reason, it left a bad impression.

We were very happy with Home Experts. Not only was their estimator prompt, he was attentive, articulate and inspected carefully the sections of the porch to be replaced with treated wood. He listened to our concerns and specified exactly what they could do to rectify the deterioration problems. He gave us an estimate. After getting two other bids, we agreed to give Home Experts our business. A carpenter came at a time and day agreed upon. He brought all his electrical saws, tools etc and constructed and installed beautiful new railings and posts properly set in concrete and of treated wood instead of pine. The round newel post tops which had been replaced about ten years ago with treated wood and were expensive in and of themselves were saved and reset. The carpenter cleaned up each day after he was here. The workmanship was beautiful and professional. The replaced sections of the porch were then given two coats of paint with paint they provided as by contract and which matched perfectly the rest of the sections of the porch. After the work was done, we noticed an addition was needed to the sections of new railing in terms of the horizontal pieces at the bottom of the railings in order to match the rest of the porch exactly. We called the Estimator who came back and we showed him what was needed; our concern had to do with the thickness of the lumber. They took great care to have the work completed to our satisfaction and within a day or two, the carpenter returned and finished the work perfectly and the porch looks terrific once again. We were very happy with Home Experts and we would highly recommend and use them again. Not only are we very satisfied with the work done as well as with the professionalism and the courtesy of the company's representatives, the company did not require a down payment. The estimator had said they would not take a check until we were "one hundred percent satisfied" with the project that was undertaken. THAT factor alone impressed us. We wrote the check for the amount agreed upon at the conclusion of the work after the addition to the horizontal pieces on to the railings were done. We will gladly use Home Experts again !

Overall, the job went well and Ken was pleasant to work with throughout the project. We no longer have a problem with our gutters overflowing and haven't had water in our basement since. Ken came out and walked me through what needed to be done during the initial estimate and made me feel very confident that Home Experts knew what they were doing. They arrived at the job on time and completed the work when they said they would. My only complaint about the experience is that communication leading up to the job was difficult. After the initial walk through, I had to contact Home Experts a few weeks later to ask about the written estimate that they said they would e-mail within 48 hours. Once I followed up, they sent an estimate right over but so much time had passed, I was nervous and unsure about what I was committing to. After the job was over, I received an e-mail that it was done withpayment info, but I would have loved a recap of "hey, here's what we did. Everything went according to plan. etc." I would definitely use Home Experts in the future but would just be very upfront about communication expectations from the beginning.

Ken was very responsive and thorough with his estimate. He understood when I asked to scale the work back a bit to fit into my budget. In the end the agreed upon work took less time than anticipated and Ken volunteered to add back in some of the items that had been removed to stay within budget. I will hire Ken again when the need arises!

Ken is a very professional contractor. I was in the midst of selling my home and time was limited. He immediately came out to my house to look over what needed to be done. Hours later, he emailed me a very detailed, itemized list of how much each repair would cost. His prices are very fair. Whether by phone or email, he was easy to get hold of for questions. I highly recommend him.

The mold was sprayed for and taken care of but the main problem is the master shower. Ken is the CEO and that is who I was working with and I asked him if he replaced the flooring under the shower this was he response... "Pablo stood on the floor and said it did not need to be replaced". I do not know of any business owner that lets one of the employees make that decision. So they just put a new shower over the old flooring and when I asked about why it was not replaced his response was.. "well in my proposal/receipt it says repair the flooring and not replace." He got technical with the word repair and I tried to fight this but he would not do anything about it. The sellers had already paid him his money so he did not care. Also the shower door they put on was so uneven the doors would not even shut. There is a gap between the door and the wall and that is the way he left it. So after all of this the first time I showered the water woudl not get hot. They did not put the shower valve on correctly for it to turn to get hot water. So they had to come back out, cut a hole in the drywall to fix it. Then I waited a week and a half before I called him becuase the hole was still there. He would not work with me on coming out to fix his problem in the first place so my dad and I had to take the matter in our own hands to fix. He still (3 weeks and counting) has not contacted me about coming out to fix it. Carpenter Realtors on the southside of Indy use Home Experts for their repairs so I would be cautious on using them or make sure you tell them not to use Home Experts as his work is very poor.

Ken Bennett came out to review the project and provided me with an estimate .The estimate was reasonable and the work could be done promptly.On 8/6/2014 the work was accomplished by two workers.The work included 12 wood trim replacements including caulking and painting,two painting only areas and a gutter repair.Several of the repaired areas were on the second story The workers were prompt and accomplished the work in a professional manner.All debris was removed.I was very satisfied with the job and will hire Home Experts to do future work.

I've worked with them several times. Their pricing is very good. They're responsive and on time.

It was very speedy and efficient. I thought they did a great job and the price was very fair.

Ken sent two gentlemen out to replace my mailbox. Everybody was extremely polite and thanked me for using their company. They took measurements to make sure that the height was correct and the mailbox was level. Good job!

They called several times to change appointments days and times, but ultimately never showed up after 5-6 trys

It went outstanding. They're amazing. I keep thinking thank goodness that I found a company that I can depend on to do home repairs. I have been using them for several years now. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had water damage to the front porch soffit and woodpecker damage to the back soffit. Home Experts identified the source of the water damage, fixed the source, installed new flashing to ensure water runoff was directed into the gutter, replaced damaged soffit and trim boards and replaced damaged rear soffit. Painted all repairs. They also noticed weathered trim boards on two windows and replaced those. This is the second time I've used Home Experts and again their work and responsiveness is outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

we were running out of options as to the cause, when I called ken, he came out within 2 days and done the inspection and was on top of the situation immediately... my wife has stopped coughing.. thank you to ken and his crew......

Everything went great. They were in close communication, showed up on time, and did a good job.

It went well. The man who serviced my new water heater was professional and knew what he was doing.

I provided the signed contract and a personal check deposit the day after I was asked to. The insurance company needed an "itemized list" of the estimate to issue a payment to me (the homeowner). Ken did not provide it. After six days I called him and nicely asked when he would be able to provide the "itemized list" to the insurance claim agent. He said in the next 1-2 days. Then I got an email a few minutes after the phone call saying that "he was too busy for the job" and that when there is "this much tension" the project won't go well. What?!? We had no issues except that he didn't want to provide my insurance with the itemized list. Maybe he was going to overcharge and that is why he couldn't provide the "itemized list" or he was too lazy to type it up. Who knows. Now I have to start all over to find another contractor. Although now that I have read the most recent reviews, I am glad. Seems that this company is on the downward spiral. I would not recommend this contractor. I have no idea how he got the "super service awards" in the past. He did send back the voided personal check and the contract.

This contractor simply didn't do the work that he promised to do. Yes, he didn't get the money because the transaction wasn't done He simply quit on the job that he promised to do. I was not trying to hurt his reputation since I only know him through Angie's list. What would I gain from that? I wrote that review simply because this contractor is unprofessional, and I want others to be careful while asking for service from him since consumers on Angie's List would do the same for me. About a week after he never returned my email/call, I got hold of another contractor who is very professional, hard-working, and asked for a much lower price ($250). Thank you for not working on my house! Just think about sending an email (see the third email below) about an hour right before his promised starting work time (and I contacted him multiple times later, and never got back). Here is the thread of our emails, and I will not follow up because this is enough for an incident like that. Please improve your work ethics, and don't pick on jobs based on who the consumer is!
