+ -1 moreIn every case, very well. Sherry always has the best interest of her clients at heart and her 30+ years of real estate experience is always evident. She has helped many of our family and friends with their real estate needs as well, and recently helped our son buy his first house - a FSBO fixer-upper, that resulted in very little commission for her. Sherry is honest, has utmost integrity, and most importantly is a wonderful person. Probably the best evidence of this is Sherry's many, many repeat clients.
Description of Work: This review is long, long overdue as Sherry Soforic Szeszycki has helped us buy and sell 5 houses during the past 30 years. Sherry has the typical nuts and bolts of real estate transactions down pat. I have often said though that Sherry's greatest value comes when things don't go perfectly smoothly, as is often the case with real estate. Sherry always knows the best thing to do in these cases and the best way to communicate with all parties (and communication is critical as real estate transactions can often be emotional). Sherry's goal is always to arrive at a solution that works well for all parties.

+ -1 moreFred was fantastic to work with. It worked best with our schedules to communicate via email and Fred was happy to accommodate. He set up a website for our search and loaded it with properties that fit our requirements. We could check the properties out and put our input in through the website. He would set up viewings for any that we wanted to see, and would take the feedback we left into consideration for the next round of properties he uploaded info for. It seemed like he was always connected, and would always respond promptly to our emails, generally even if it was after hours. This was our first time buying a home, and he helped us throughout the whole process. He was patient and answered all our questions. He has even been in touch after we closed on the home to remind us to make sure we file our mortgage exemption. We would definitely use him again if we need to make another move.

+ -1 moreRobert and FC Tucker fell significantly short of my expectations. After having a potential sale fall through (which only occurred a year after listing with FC Tucker) Mr. Cowan and FC Tucker were instructed to issue a letter on my behalf. Despite being instructed to do so as my agent, they never issued the letter, potentially costing me money and creating aggravation when not necessary. The agency acted irresponsibly in this situation and leads me to caution anyone from using them as an agent.
Description of Work: I hired Robert Cowan to act as my real estate agent for the sale of my home. A sale was never completed and I ultimately had to change to another agency.

+ -1 moreRuss Lawrence is the best realtor I've ever worked with. He was patient, honest and very helpful through the whole process. We looked at almost 40 houses in the area in a short amount of time and were beginning to get discouraged. Russ took us to a house that wasn't on our radar and eventually that's the one we purchased. He was very professional and was very good at communication whether it was email, phone or text. He came to the closing, which was important. He also said thanks at the end, which I've found some realtors don't even do that much. I would recommend Russ to anyone.

+ -1 moreThe company I joined in Indianapolis hired F.C. Tucker as a relocation service. Beckie Schroeder was assigned to be our real estate agent to help us find a home. With her help, we found and ultimately purchased a home in Carmel, after also looking in Zionsville and Washington Township (see other section for more details). Throughout, she was extremely professional, timely, and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend her to another prospective buyer; I would expect she would be equally effective as a sellers' agent. The seller paid the agent fees.
Description of Work: A real estate agent helped us find and purchase our first home in Indianapolis in a move from Michigan where we had been renting. This included initially a tour of the area in which we saw about 15 homes in a day to get a feel for the market within some rough guidelines (price point, number of bedrooms). We were then emailed all homes that fit our criteria, with subsequent updates on a daily basis if a change in listing status happened, over the next 6 weeks or so; this was likely automated but certainly satisfactory. After the 6 weeks, we returned to view a list of homes we had selected from the emailed set with the agent's colleague since she was on vacation (though still responding to emails). From those we saw, we selected a few more to view again in a couple of weeks. The primary agent showed us these and picked out a couple more based on our selections. We actually decided to make an offer on one that she had selected that had just come on the market. She negotiated for us aggressively and we were able to settle on a reasonable price with the buyers. She was on top of the numerous details that come up between settling on a price and closing. She attended the inspection and offered various useful tips for first-time homebuyers. She was present for the walk-through and closing, and made herself available for further consultation later if needed.

+ -1 moreShe was great! She sold our house in less than 6 days. She stuck with us for 6 months trying to find a house. We were out looking every weekend. She didn't care how long she spent with us. If I ever had to buy or sell another house, I would go with her. She is the only realtor I would ever trust. We have recommended her to my wife's boss whom bought a house from her because she liked her so much. We are very picky with realtors. Her brochures and marketing skills were so exceptional. I was really amazed. She put our house up for more money than I would have put it up for, and she was able to sell it. I would definitely use her again.

She is extremely professional, yet very personable. She used the F.C. Tucker marketing materials to maximize the value and desirability of our home. F.C. Tucker has an amazing website which allows you to search for homes! Before our home was even on the market, we started looking at homes to see what we could get within our budget, to get a feel for different neighborhoods. These early visits were productive because we saw our new home on one of these trips. Marty guided us through this confusing process. She has since been to visit us twice in our new home to check on progress of renovations.
