Encore Landscape

Having issues with quality - and owner (Randy) is completely unresponsive. Some employees have warned me that my experience is common, and that I should post a review because they feel bad for all the people getting completely ignored. Possibly my worst customer service experience, and I've had some bad ones...

One of my wishes for 2022 was to create an outdoor space where I could connect with nature. I had no idea where to begin and which specific plants, trees, and shrubs to use. I only knew I wanted: native, pollinator, easy maintenance, and human as well as dog friendly. Fortunately, I found Encore Landscape. Brad (the designer) met with me at my home, and we walked the yard to discuss the design options and vision. Within a couple weeks I had a proposal with beautiful renderings of the concept. We met again to discuss the plantings, what would be removed, and what we could repurpose (stones and some existing pollinator plants). The installation went smoothly – the crew took care with each step, for example - protecting the glass doors when grinding the tree stumps right off the patio; being careful with the plants which were going to be relocated (some with long tap roots). They also made sure the River Birch was planted exactly where I wanted it to create a natural privacy – rather than just eye-balling from the design. They took the time to ask, and I valued the communication. Everything was completed within the timeframe Brad & I discussed. And now… several neighbors and family-members have complimented me on the yard – they love the natural look with the boulders and native plants in a clean-line design. The birds love the Princess Diana Service Berry trees; the yellow finches and chickadees enjoy the River Birch – a perfect place to sit and look out over yards. For the first time, I have seen a Bohemian Waxwing couple in the yard. The pollinator plants are thriving and will soon be abuzz with the bees and butterflies. Brad definitely knew what to plant to bring nature to the yard, and with the easy maintenance, I can enjoy it rather than fussing with it. And the crew – they did an excellent job executing the plan! Now…I need to get back outside to nature… 😊

The Encore team was great from start to finish. Randy was involved every step of the way and made sure we were happy with the progress and was quick and fair with responding to all requests. Brad’s design was exactly what we wanted and the finished product looks as good as what was initially proposed. Brad was great at providing input and giving ideas in an area that is unknown to us and was open to changes along the way. It was great to be able to rely on his expertise. Matt and team worked hard every day and made sure that the work was done well and they were great about keeping the job site maintained the whole time. Putting in a pool is a big project with many moving pieces and I was very glad to have Encore there who worked great with the other contractors, and with us, producing a finished product that exceeded our expectations.

Just awful. Owner is defensive when contacted about poor work and they have never done a decent job caring for the lawns in our neighborhood. Do not finish work, miss large areas for mowing, leave trash behind when workers eat lunch and throw in bushes and did not blow off drives and walkways when done. The only positive is that workers are nice. Other than that, do NOT hire.

Awful experience. The entire company, owners, sales, entire outfit is a joke. Have spent thousands of dollars and they refuse to complete the job and fix items that are not functioning properly. Owner refuses to come on-site to ***** what needs to be done to rectify their faulty materials. DO NOT hire or even consult with these people.

They never returned my phone call to set up the service

They do not do a very good job. They give no extra care. They mow and leave. They never seem to trim or blow the area they mow.

What I appreciated was that they worked with the emeregency timing we had their crew was very friendly they also tried to minimize heavy equipment onto our yard. i appraciated that the owner was a good encouragger of his workers. They did a nice job it really was a great team. There bid for our trees was nicely under all the other bids we recieved. In our emergency situation they were able to work with us. We also chop are own wood and they left some neatly off to the side so we could use our own wood in the future. This company was very personable. I would use them again in the future.

Randy was a pleasure to work with. He came out on a Saturday for the estimate, was Very friendly, knowledgeable and asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted something that looked nice, was easy to take care of, could be trimmed back without leaving "sticks on the bottom of the plant and green on the top like my shrubs had begun to look". and would update the look of the yard. We have walnut trees and not much grass was growing in that area. He suggested tying the two trees into the landscape and planting hostas in that area. He made some sketches, tooks some pictures and told me he would e-mail me some options and a price. Since we were leaving on vacation, I told him I just needed it when I returned. Randy did send an e-mail estimate with his suggestions in bold with links to the plants. He then added two other options that would also work nicely again with photo links. I made my decisions and accepted his offer. The rain pushed the start day back one day, but when I came home from work and saw the transformation, I was thrilled with the results! Randy is no pressure. He follwed up to make sure I was happy with the results and gave me care instructions. I still can't believe how great it looks!
