He is very honest and knows the exact problem. He is very knowledgeable in what he doe and his service is excellent.

Steve Duncan came by to look at the problems and then ordered the required parts. He arrived punctually and started the work on the oven. He knew that he would need help to remove the large cooktop and he had arranged for one of his employees to join him for that part of the job. They are both very well presented, very courteous and very competent and although the cooktop is an old model they quickly figured out how it came apart and completed the job in good time. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards , entered all information on a laptop and accepted my credit card in payment. We are delighted to have found this company and will always use them for future appliance work. They are a pleasure to do business with and we cannot recommend them too highly.

Waited 4 or 5 days for them to come. He came, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and I waited for them to call, once part came in. Waited a week and called them. The part was in and I was put on the schedule, 3 days later. Technician came and put it in, had to come back the next day to confirm it worked. The work was done well, but had to wait long periods of time to get finished product.

A part expired on our Jenn Aire range. The technician had to order the part but returned as soon as it was available. He was punctual, neat in appearance, and informative.

He explained options after running tests and examining the problem on the refrigerator.

I was referred to Duncan Appliance Service by another appliance repair company because Duncan is one of the few repair companies that will work on the GE Advantium combination microwave. Steve came out and looked at the microwave and cleaned the oil and dirt off the vent fan motor. He explained how the motor worked and how the oils and dirt are attracted to the fan. He tested everything to be sure that all the features of the microwave and speed cook setting were working properly. Steve only charged $65 for the service call and cleaning the motor area. He was very personable and professional. I would not hesitate to call Duncan appliance repair for any appliance repairs!

Mr. Duncan could have charged us with a whole new computer part or parts but was honest enough to charge us for just a service call, which will be eliminated should we have the same problem in the near future and he would need to return. A very honest and professional person . We have had him in the past for clothes dryer service and it is still working properly. We would certainly recommend this company and use them again if necessary.

Service was prompt and courteous. The right parts were ordered and the replacement unit was brought to the house when the serviceman came. He encountered a small problem when removing the old ice maker, breaking a part that controlled the ice level. He ordered this part and came back to install it free of charge about a week later. All in all, very satisfied with the service and the company. I would certainly use them again.

Steve kept coming back until it is now almost overflowing with ice.

First, Kathy was great about calling back to set up the appointment. Dave phoned about 15 minutes before he arrived to do the repair. He had all of the equipment he needed to easily pull the range out of the cabinetry to get to the back of it. He repaired the range within 40 minutes and allowed us to clean out the space before he returned the range to its place. He was very friendly and professional and proficient.

Steve was exceptional, knowledgeable, insightful, strongly recommend.

Checked out freezer and refrigerator and found the cooling mechanism were in working condition. Determined that problem was broken gasket and unstable refrigerator door. Recommended replacing versus repairing because repair would not be sufficient to cure problem.

Everything is A-class with them. We've used their service for about 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and professional and is directly honest about what is needed to be done. He gives different cost options and gives the pros and cons associated with those options. We would also recommend their service to others.

Tony came to fix our GE Cafe Refrigerator. He knew exactly what was wrong and quoted the price of the part to fix it before he started. He quickly fixed the refrigerator, and stayed to be sure it was functioning properly after doing the repair. It has been running perfectly. It is nice to have a appliance repairman that you know you can trust and does a great job.

We have hired Steve Duncan many, many times over the years to repair all sorts of appliances and he has always been great. In late June 2013, our house sustained a serious electric surge, we think from lightning, that burned out a number of large and small electric appliances and devices. Two appliances that stopped working were our refrigerator and our oven. We contacted Steve immediately but we were unable to arrange a visit for a week. We got by with no refrigerator or oven until he arrived. When he got there he said we might just need to turn the refrigerator off for 10 minutes to let the computer reset. We did that and it worked. He was surprised that the person who answered the phone for him had not suggested that -- he said they usually do. When we turned to the oven, we showed him how turning the thing on resulted in a message of and quot;Error 160.and quot; We could not find anything about it in the manual and our computer had been fried, so we couldn't go online to look it up. He said he'd look it up and get back to us. We saw him at an appliance parts store a day or two later and he said he hadn't had time to get to it yet. After a couple weeks of silence, we called and left a message. When he didn't get back to us, we called twice more over the next couple or three weeks. We spoke with his representative, who told us she was embarrassed by his failure to contact us. Still he didn't call us. If he had just said he didn't want to do anything for us, or couldn't, at least we'd have known to contact someone else. And of course if this had been our first contact with him we would not have let it all drag out like this. But we had a long history with Steve and expected him to keep his word to us, so we tried to be reasonable and patient with him. Maybe he was ill, or had some other unexpected problem. But he never did follow up with us in any way. We have now been without a working oven for nearly two months. We finally contacted another appliance repair person, who diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes as the main control board and has ordered a replacement part. He has warned us that we might need another part as well, but we'll start with this one.

The repairman was knowledgeable and efficient. He was very polite and explained what he was doing.

I suspected that my Asko dishwasher was leaking. I had initially contacted Mathews Appliance Service to service the unit but John said he did not work on Asko dishwashers and recommended Duncan Appliance Service. I was given a 3 hour appointment window to be available. On the day of the appointment, I contacted Kathy at the office to approximate the time of the visit so I could plan my afternoon. She said that Tony had arrived at the appointment before me so I would be next in line. Within 10 minutes of speaking to her, Tony had called to say he was on the way. He evaluated and confirmed that the unit was leaking and within 30 minutes he left and would order the parts from Asko, which was located in Texas. I paid $88 which would be applied to the overall repair charge + parts. SInce my dishwasher was approximately 9 years old, I started to have some regrets about the repair because Tony did not know the cost of the repair parts. I called Kathy the next day and she was able to alleviate my concerns about repair versus the replacement of the dishwasher. She explained that Tony would have advised me to replace the unit had it been cost prohibitive to order the replacement parts. We estimated it would be about 30% of the cost to fix so it was a good decision in the end.

My wife had seen an ad on TV which recommended that washer hoses be replaced every 5 years. She called customer service for our brand and they confirmed this recommendation for external hoses, but were unclear on the internal hoses. We searched AL for someone to come take a look at our situation and replace whatever was needed. We found several Super Service award winners and after reading the reviews, decided on Duncan Appliance Service. From that point everything went smoothly. It was about a week before our job was scheduled which was fine with us as this certainly wasn't an emergency. Steve Duncan, the sole proprietor, arrived within tHe window of time of the appointment and called shortly before his arrival. He checked out both machines and explained/demonstrated how to test the external hoses for signs of deterioration and potential failure. He also explained that the internal hose are not subjected to the pressure gradients that the external hoses are and recommended he not inspect them as it would likely be cheaper to buy a new machine. He also checked beneath each machine to see that there were drains . We feel very good about the service and information that Mr. Duncan provided. Our machines are in good shape. The hoses are in good shape and we now know what to do to check them. And we are relieved to know that each machine is properly connected to a drain in the event of a failure.

It was fine. It was an old refrigerator and he was able to fix it. He will try to solve the problem by researching online. The parts were old so he was able to find the parts online.
