Description of Work: Steve was great. He wrapped the hose with tape to stop washer from leaking until the new hose came in. Worked with us by coming by after hours. Very friendly and courteous, patient with our kids who ask a lot of questions. :)

Description of Work: Our oven quit working and Mr. Duncan came personally to check the problem. He told us it was not worth fixing it as it would have cost the same to buy a new oven. We were very pleased with his honesty and professionalism. We had used them before for our refrigerator that had problems and we will definitely not hesitate using them again in the future. Thank you.

Description of Work: My Whirlpool washer stopped working. Steve Duncan was on vacation. However Kathy help me to find parts and to find out how I could get my machine fixed sooner. I would only use Duncan appliance service. Because Steve was on vacation I did call in another top rated appliance service dealer. He was no Steve Duncan and believe me I just wasted $80. I have always use Steve in the past and I will only use him in the future. If you want a good service man and a honest one call Steve.

Description of Work: difficulties with one oven of Kenmore Elite double wall oven intermittently turning off after heating/pre-heating. Steve Duncan came to my house, assessed the situation, and advised me not to replace the control panel he replaced just over a year ago. Said it was highly unlikely that it would be bad again. Advised me to contact Sears. Appreciate his honesty--and he charged me nothing! Sears came out, confirmed Steve's diagnosis, and charged me $75!

Description of Work: Our Kenmore refrigerator stopped working, and I called the Sears repairman. He came out the next day, told me that it was the compressor, and it would be $700+ for the repair. He suggested that I purchase a new refrigerator since mine was 9 years old. I did do some shopping around, but my refrigerator is an unusual size, and I couldn't find a comparable one -- or one that I liked nearly as well as my current fridge. The Sears repairman was very good, but the salesman at the Sears store made promises he couldn't keep, which held up my repair/replacement. I called Duncan, they ordered the compressor and installed it for a significant savings. They were very good to deal with, and I would certainly recommend them.

Description of Work: I needed my dryer vent cleared and my dryer repaired. First, they referred me to another professional to clean the vent because they don't do that type of work. They even suggested I go ahead and have him fix the dryer if he was able in order to save me time and money. That's good service!! The 1st man wasn't able to fix the dryer after cleaning the vent, so I had Duncan Appliances come the next week to do the repair. The gentleman who came was twenty minutes late after the 3 hour window, but he did the work quickly and efficiently. I was very pleased with their service. He ended up replacing the thermofuse (sp?).

Description of Work: My dishwasher was leaking water onto the kitchen floor. Duncan Appliances Repair came, diagnosed the problem, outlined my options and their cost (including not using repair but rather replacing the dishwasher), and left the decision to me. I opted to have them repair the machine, which meant installing a new pump. They gave me a clear estimate, ordered the part when I decided to have the work done, and called me when it was in to set up an appointment for installation. They were prompt and clean. Best of all, the dishwasher not only works fine, it is better than it has ever been. I don't know what he did, but it is very good....quieter and more efficient. The estimate was exactly what I paid. No add-ons or problems. Overall excellent service, great job. I would call them again if I have future appliance repair needs.

Description of Work: A 7 year old Kitchenaid diswasher stopped working during the wash cycle. The owner of the company, Steve Duncan,came on Saturday! 1/22/12 with a new fuse plus connector.After replacing the old fuse and connector, he made sure the circuit board (which we had to replace a year and a half ago)was all right. He next started the dishwasher. We decided it would be okay to not run full cycle. Yesterday I ran the dishwasher full cycle. It ran fine. I was very pleased with the service that Mr. Duncan performed and would definitely call them again if have any problems with other appliances.

Description of Work: They fixed our stove. The element burned out and they came right away to replace it. They got the right part and did immediately.

Description of Work: Service rep replaced a cord and outlet box for electric dryer. While the technician was pleasant, I was very disappointed in the costs. I had provided the office detailed information about the issue and had requested a call prior to coming. The bill included extra time that was spent driving to the hardware store and waiting for me to come home--both which could have been avoided had the office communicated with the technician. My dryer still does not dry properly--taking 2 cycles to dry. I don't want to request a second visit as I am afraid I could pay for a new dryer for the cost of the repairs.

Description of Work: we called on a Monday AM for dryer repair (drum stopped spinning). We left a message and was told someone would call back in 20 minutes. 6 hours later we got a call back and the earliest they could get put was Friday. The repairman got here about 5:00 on Friday afternoon. the repair was quick and very reasonable in price. I would use them again, but I hope we can get a quicker appt. next time.

Description of Work: I had problems with a refrigerator. When I called, I was told that they were booked for a few days but they would try to get out to my house later that day. Tony showed up late in the day and provided a temporary fix and returned promptly a few days later with the needed replacement part. I was impressed with his professionalism and commitment.

Description of Work: Punctual, in fact early. Steve had a look at our fridge and was completely honest with me. He knew right away that we had a mfg defect, and that we could probably throw money at the issue however in the end, we would likely be in the same place after a few years. No pressure, very very honest, very intelligent. He even charged less than quoted. I will recommend to anyone.
