Description of Work: I needed a complete sealed cooling system for a 4 years old Whirlpool. Kathy that answered the phone walked me through the process of determining if it was covered under an extended warranty with Whirlpool. It was!!! Then she recommended the company that is the Whirlpool service rep. The work has been done, I paid nothing (it would have been around $1500). The professionalism of this company is beyond compare. Next time I need a repair, I will call Duncan.

Description of Work: The water line to our ice maker was broken. Was very pleased that they called ahead and let us know they'd be there within 15 minutes. The technician diagnosed the problem and ordered the part right away. Duncan Appliance called us the next day to schedule installing the part.There was no discount for being a member of Angie's List but we were very pleased with the honesty and expertise of the technician.

Description of Work: Cost of parts $384, cost of labor $400, service call $110, plus tax. Unfathomable that anyone would pay $920 for repair of a 24 year old SubZero 550 refrigerator. But we have a built in, cabinet paneled unit that would have caused a stress level beyond the cost of repair had we chosen to replace. The timing, as always, was terrible. We'll see how long our 'investment' lasts. Service was great.

Description of Work: Had a problem with the dryer making a loud Gronking noise after it warmer up, very loud and annoying. |They tried everything over the course of 2 separate days, spending several hours here each time. In the end the noise just kept coming back. |We are now just going to replace the darn thing with a new one.

Description of Work: I can't praise Duncan Appliance enough. They've fixed my clothes dryer and my double oven - quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. They even provided free advice when I had a problem with my washing machine. They're always on time and always pleasant to deal with. HIGHLY recommended!

Description of Work: I have used Duncan Appliance Service several times over the years, and they have always been very prompt, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. The last service they performed was to come out immediately when the gas ignition in my dryer broke and let gas escape all over the house. It was a dangerous situation, and I had to vacate the house. The serviceman came quickly and was able to shut off the gas and repair my dryer, and it's still working great! I highly recommend this company.
