Duncan Appliance Service

Mr. Duncan's salesperson Jim called back and informed me (at least 4 times) I took most of the profit out of the job because they make a lot of their profit on parts. I really wanted to use this company as they had an A rating and were very close and I need someone I can use for this sort of thing often, so I agreed to pay the $88 as Jim put it "just to get them to the door". Again he reminded me I took the majority of the profit out of the job by purchasing the part elsewhere and asked if the price scared me off, like he was trying to get rid of me. I asked him about the $88 to "get to the door" when they were only a few blocks away and if that was not profit... he hung up on me and said I should use someone else. I think Mr. Duncan is paying Jim a commission on parts and he is certainly not getting his money's worth if he is turning away customers like myself. We are getting ready to refinish our bathroom and kitchen. I would not even consider calling them again, my 8th grader has better manners.

They were great and taught me some things about my refrigerator. They were very professional, courteous, nice and they clean up after themselves. Their prices are very good as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This was a very good experience. Our igniter went out on Thanksgiving Eve, so we had to cook our turkey on the grill outside. When we did call, he was here first thing Monday morning and took care of the problem.

Owner came out, tried to fix ice maker. When he couldn't, he replaced it.

My voice message was returned later that day and service was scheduled for several days later. It appeared from the fault code displayed that a new control panel was required. Unfortunately, there was not one available in the Indy metro area and the part needed to be sent from Maytag. As soon as the part came in Tony made a second trip to my home to replace the problem part. This was on a Saturday. Everything seemed fine. However, four hours later the beeping started again and the same fault code appeared. I called and left a message that perhaps we received a faulty part. Sunday morning Mr. Duncan called and apologized. He indicated that he would have Tony back the next day. He indicated that Maytag always tests the new part before shipping and I knew that Tony had also tested the part when it was installed. So...he indicated that we needed to look further. The following day Tony was back and found that a relay sensor was bad and was causing the wrong fault code to appear. Fortunately, we had not thrown out the old part which Tony reinstalled along with the new sensor. Duncan Appliance made three calls to my home. One call was to diagnose the problem, one to install the control panel and once again to fix the relay sensor. Duncan credited the charge for the control panel which was not needed, charged for the relay sensor and one service call. While I originally thought $88 for their service call was high, it was not when you consider they made three trips to my home. My bill was actually $100 less than the estimate because of the difference in the cost of the part needed. I will always use Duncan Appliance Service. Who else would call me on a Sunday and be so responsive.

This was the first time I had used their services. They came when they said they would, did the work and left. They did good a good job. It only took them a half an hour.

He only does Hamilton County. That is his only draw back. He is very knowledgeable. I use him for all of my repairs. He is quick to return phone calls. If he can not do it in a quick amount of time he will let you know. He has serviced many appliances and has only charge for the trip. He has good connections. If he can't fix it he knows someone who can. I would highly recommend him.

Washing machine was not working They came out and determined it needed a new pump. They ordered the part and came back to install it. At the same time they made some adjustments to our dishwasher latch.

When I called to tell them my dryer stopped working they told me some things to try on my own first. It still didn't work so I called them back to schedule a repair. The serviceman was extremely courteous and took care of the repair. I use this company only for appliance repair, their honesty and service can't be beat!!!

Because of his workload, it took a few days for Steve to come. We always appreciate his advice and he charges according to what is fair, based on the work and parts needed.

Duncan Appliance Service was wonderful. Mr. Duncan was determined to find the source of the dishwasher's problem rather than simply performing a "quick fix" repair. He was knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and honest. I was pleased with every aspect of my dealings with Duncan Appliance. I will use them for all my future appliance repairs, and I would recommend them without reservation to my friends.

They got it going again. They are very nice and they are also very prompt. They came the day after I talked to them. They run a very professional company.

Duncan seemed very experienced and honest. They provided good advice as to the choice between repairing and replacing the appliances.

I have used this company for the past twenty years. I like that if you refer someone to them they will send you a thank you letter and a "$10 off of your next repair" coupon. They will stay to get the job done, no matter that the next day may be a holiday.

I like to use the companies that sold us the appliance. They were polite and friendly on the phone. They came prepared because they asked the right questions on the phone. They were on time and got it fixed.

It was excellent because he did the work that was necessary and did it well. He didn't do more than needed done and he didn't convince me to have any more work done. He was very prompt in the repair.

He came out one day to inspect the damage. He then told me he would come out in the early afternoon to replace the compressor the next week and he came out right on time. He was very friendly and professional. Everything works just fine. I would use him again for future work.

Both units are old but they always find a way to repair it.

Steve was wonderful, very professional and courteous. In and out in less than an hour. hey are a little hard to get an appointment with, waited 5 days, but well worth the wait. How I have not heard about them before now is beyond me! Will use no one else from now on.

They were able to squeeze me in the same day. Their work was excellent and they were very respectful and nice. I would recommend them and use them again.

The guy is very respectful of your house, he is neat and clean and nice. He has a guy that tries to troubleshoot your problem on the phone and they come when they say they will.

They got the job done at a reasonable amount. The job was done in a reasonable amount of time. We have used them for many years now. Recommend them to friends and family.

It went very well. They were punctual and they did a good job. They repaired it very quickly I would use them again and recommend them to people who are looking for this service.

I chose this company because of all of the good things that I read on Angie's' List. They did need to make a few trips. If they want to strive for perfection, I would suggest that the person who makes the appointments, and polish their listening skills. But the service was good and our dryer works even better.
