Very well, second time they have helped us out.

Kathy is the office manager and she is awesome! The technician determined that the control board was the culprit. When he took the board out, I didn't have the use of the bottom oven as well. The thought of not having a working oven is not very appealing. But I have the control board replaced and I am now in full operation. Brad was the technician. $240 to rebuild the control board, $80 labor, $110 Service call + tax of $16.80 total cost of $446.80

Tony arrived within the time window and came ready to do the job. He offered to wear shoe covers and got right to work. Within 5 minutes he had located the missing items. He then offered to vacuum the inside of the dryer while it was open. I will definitely call them again for any appliance repairs.

I appreciated that When I called for an appointment they asked for the model number of the appliance to make sure parts were still available before they came out. They have working as good as new!

He found the problem and he took a look at another refrigerator in our garage. He took a look at my washing machine. They were nice because they guaranteed their work for 30 days. If they come back to fix a different problem, they don't charge you another service charge. They're just really wonderful. It was a very, very good service. Before I buy another refrigerator, I would call them and ask what brand to buy. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Duncan got me in quickly since I was worried about not having an oven to host Thanksgiving dinner. They allowed us to send pictures so that they could order the parts and make it a one stop fix since Thanksgiving was only a few days away. Thank you!

Service man was running a bit late but just made the time window, service man was professional and went straight to work. I gave him the run down what I had done and what the appliance wasn't doing. He repaired it and told me what he was doing and why. I was lucky and he had the part on the truck. All is good so far......

Duncan Appliance is second to none! My family has used this appliance repair company back when it was called Dennis Appliance in the 1980's. Mr Dennis was the original repair company here in Carmel. Always based here in Carmel their service is in high demand mainly because they do it right the FIRST TIME! It may be hard for them to schedule same day repair but its it worth the wait! Recent experience with a last minute repair we could not get on Duncan Appliance schedule based on how IN DEMAND their service is! We had to call another Carmel Appliance repair company and it was a real fiasco! Repair was quick and shotty and they demanded cash for the work! Called Duncan Appliance again and got on the schedule again and we were not disappointed this time! Tony came out, looked at the dryer issue and ordered the part and went and picked it up same day, came back at 5:30PM same day and did the repair. Showed me the defective parts, left them with me and the dryer has never worked better! Duncan takes credit cards and emailed the receipt within minutes. LOVE DUNCAN APPLIANCE SERVICE!

Recently, I wrote a poor review for services performed over a total of five visits....(I have been dealing with them since December.) I was pleased to be called by the owner Mr. Duncan the next day (on a weekend). He scheduled a time to come look and see what could be done to satisfy me with the hinge replacement/door leveling issues. He arrived on time and was here for 3 hours. He took the door off. He checked the ice maker by pulling the whole thing out. In the back, he found 3 toy cars and a slow water leak due to my original "installation" (no clamp around drain hose). It took him a trip to the hardware store to get a clamp, and now it is not only fixed but he also did a great job of leveling it -- the floor is not level right under the ice maker. It's possible that leveling the unit helped the door /close. Overall I am very pleased. He revised my bill and did not charge me for labor so i have no complaints. I would recommend them with one note: ask for frequent calls/updates on arrival times so rescheduling can happen early it they get too behind. He suggested that next time, a phone call to his company stating my issues would be better than a poor review on Angie's list -albeit- it did get his attention. Thanks ANGIE! Happy Camper.

I have used Duncan Appliance for 12+ years and always had excellent customer service. Steve himself was usually the one that came to the house and I always enjoyed his work and advice. In September, I called to report we were having issues with both the washer and dryer. Dave came to the house while I was at an appointment to assess the needed repairs and left me a voice mail asking me to return his call. I left him a voice message, which was never returned. A week or two later, I left another voice message, which also went unreturned. We were still able to use both appliances, so I was able to be patient. Sometime in October, I called the office and spoke with a woman there. She indicated that some parts needed to be ordered and said she would have Dave call me to tell me what they were. Again, I heard nothing. We had some medical issues during that time, so finally about mid-November I reached her again and she was able to tell me what parts were needed and the cost. I agreed that they should be ordered and a service date was scheduled for early December. She also admitted to me that the service techs rarely have time to return voicemails during the day (then why ask for the customer to call you back?). When Dave arrived for the appointment, he restated which parts were needed and why. I again consented for them to be replaced only to find out that he hadn't ordered any parts and therefore was not able to service my appliances during our scheduled time. He finally returned the following weekend and spent the better part of the day fixing both appliances. They are currently working as expected. I am saddened to submit this review for a company that has treated me well over the past decade. Dave did apologize for the confusion, but I don't think the time I spent tracking down this provider and making myself available to them was considered. Dave emailed a bill to me, upon receipt of which I realized I had been charged $125+ for the service call alone, not including parts or labor. Considering the time I wasted following up with them and being available for a scheduled service call which they weren't prepared to deliver, I think this fee should have been waived. Their words say sorry, but their charges offered no consideration for my time and frustration. Unfortunately, I will look elsewhere on the list next time I'm in need of appliance repair.

It would have went fine if they would have informed me of a $90 service call fee prior to them coming to my home. Not anywhere on their profile, nor was it mentioned by anyone at the office that they charge you basically $100 to enter your home. I paid $150 for what an honest and fair company would have charged $70-$90. Would never use again or recommend.

I called Duncan Electric to schedule a service call for our two year old Samsung Dishwasher as it wouldn't initiate a Start cycle.. I left a voice mail message, and Cathy called me back. I gave her the model number, described the issue and described the error code, which was three blinking lights when the Cycle Start button was depressed. Cathy said the soonest they could service the dishwasher was a week away. Obviously, Cathy being a women, knew a week without a dishwasher is not easy to tolerate and may end up with the customer finding someone else who could do it a lot sooner. Cathy suggested that we "power off" the dishwasher at the circuit breaker, and wait at least 2 hours before powering it back on. After four hours, we flipped the circuit breaker back on and that worked. Yes, Duncan Electric ended up losing a sale, but I'm sure they realize that there was a better chance that they may end up losing a customer due to the long wait time. As it turned out they lost the sale but gained a most appreciable customer that was able to fix the problem themselves much sooner and save some money. This was evidently not the first time Cathy has bailed us out in that manner, as my wife recalled a prior incident some years ago. Cathy is a very valuable employee to Duncan Electric. You can be sure that we will always call Duncan Electric for any out-of-warranty large appliance repair in the future.

The freezer ice maker within our pull out drawer was not making ice. Tony spent about 40 minutes and now happy to report we have a ice maker making ice. Great guy, on time, good value. Thanks Duncan

Tony arrived promptly at the scheduled time. His demeanor was friendly and professional. He quickly assessed and diagnosed the problem and quickly made the necessary repair. When asked questions, he was knowledgeable and thorough. I felt that he offered the best solution to the problems, rather than the most expensive. When I asked him about another potential problem with the ice machine and water dispenser, he made a quick assessment and appeared to fix it but told me that a switch was going bad. Tony wasn't sure how long it would work, but said he would order the part just in case, and I could call them if it went bad. He also said there would be no additional service fee to come out to fix it. I greatly appreciated his conservative approach. He came across as an honest person which reflected positively on Duncan Appliance Service in general. As it turns out, the additional repair is needed. I called Duncan to schedule it and, as Tony said, there isn't an additional service fee. Tony and Duncan Appliance Service provided prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable service in an honest and professional manner. I will definitely be a return customer, and I would recommend this company to anyone needing appliance repairs.

He came and helped us with our dishwasher. He was very honest and charged only half of the service call.

The blockage in the drain pipe was causing the water to accumulate in the bottom of the freezer compartment and then freeze. Tony O. had to remove a lot of interior paneling to get to the blocked drain. After the work was completed the refrigerator ran like it just came off the assembly line. The refrigerator was 11years old and was noisey.

The service was excellent. Steve Duncan was really good. He had an assistant with him training. They were really prompt. They called before they came and got here when they said they would.

They saved our lives and I am so thrilled with their service and have been since we started using them twenty years ago. They're the only people I have come out to service my appliances. I have saved so much money and it saved our lives even the dogs. I am very pleased.

Water dispenser had broken. We called to schedule the service andwere able to send them a picture of the broken part so they could be sure to have the right part and only need to make (and charge us for) one trip. Tony, as always, was great in making the repair.

Came as promised, did the job, price was fair.
