Excellent! We have used Duncan before and have always been pleased. They always explain everything well....they are very courteous and friendly. We have always felt that their charges are very reasonable.

I was pleased that a "minor" problem did not become a major problem.

5 stars to Duncan Appliance. They were awesome to deal with - from the initial phone call to the service performed. Kathy was so pleasant to deal with, very courteous and knowledgeable. Tony, the service professional, was prompt, efficient, polite and explained in detail what was needed and why. I highly recommend this company for any appliance repair need you may have.

Steve fixed the problems we were having with our appliances.

As usual, everything went very well. Steve Duncan is a nice gentleman and a first rate appliance repair technician. We have used his company numerous times for repair of laundry and kitchen appliances and have always been well pleased.

From the initial call she was able to hypothesize what the problem might be and indicated that it was very likely fixable. The repairman was very professional and put everything back where he found it. He even created a temporary fix that would last until the new part arrived. The price seemed fair and very much in line with what others charge for various home repairs - and definitely cheaper than purchasing a new refrigerator.

He seemed very honest with me. I had tried to fix it myself and after I told him what I did he said he knew my problem was the compressor. He was very honest and didn't try to get me to get him out there to look at it which would have cost me money to do so. Although I thought his price was way too high to fix the problem, I would definately use him in my next repair. I did try to negotiate a lower price to fix my compressor, but he didn't negotiate. I knew the part was only $250, but he (and all the other companies I called) wanted over $650 to fix it. They all said it would take 3 hours to repair. $400 for 3 hours is $133 an hour. Ridiculous.

Diagnosed the problem instantly. Fixed it quickly. Costs were entirely reasonable.

Mr. Duncan came out and diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes. He ordered the part right then and there using his wireless internet connection. He returned and installed it a day or two later. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced.

It went really well. When the he came in, he was really good with my pets. He fixed the fridge. He was very personable. He checked it thoroughly and it ended up not being a major issue. The price was also very reasonable.

I also had to change the rubber seal that had mold on it. When Kathy took the call, she listened patiently and upon asking her to give a cost estimate based on the my description of the issue, including the rubber seal change, she said the rubber seal in itself cost about $100. The spin problem fix could cost anywhere from $100 to $200. She gave me a time window between 1pm and 4pm. At around 2pm, I gave her a call to find out where the technician was on the service route. She politely replied that they were running late and offered that he can skip one of them now and take care of us first if we couldn't wait. Since I was not in a hurry, I said they could come later. He arrived here around 5pm during a heavy thunderstorm. Steve, the technician explained the issue very clearly and charged me just the diagnostics fee of $48.

Have used this company for several years but had frustratingt experience this time. Tony checked Bosch (made for Kenmore) dishwasher and found nothing wrong in April. On May 18 he returned as problem had returned and persisted. He determined that bottom spray arm wasn't functioning. He stated he would look up repair needed and call me. I had to call office twice to get a return call from Tony. When he called back May 26 he asked what I needed. I reminded him that he was to have called me about needed repair. He stated that company doesn't repair Bosch made dishwashers and he was going on vacation for 2 weeks(not sure why this mattered if he couldn't repair it). This fact was made known to me after 7 weeks, 2 appointments, several calls, and a dishwasher still not cleaning properly. Spoke with Steve, owner, and made my displeasure and frustrations known. He apologized for not catching the fact that company doesn't repair Bosch and agreed to refund my $48.00. (Nearly 2 months later I haven't received the refund).

Arrived when said, and tried to repair, but said the repair didn't work and was honest to admit that he would put the repair on, but he didn't think it would last, so he recommended a new washer and listed what he thought were the top 4 brands; He only charged for the visit, not the repair attempt. Would definitely use this company again

They were prompt and I was able to give the model and brand of the dryer and they were able to order parts to repair it and the price was reasonable.

Recently my refrigerator was having some problems. A young man took a look at the refrigerator to decide what parts that needed to be ordered. We were attempting to figure out how old the appliance was and when I looked at the paperwork he determined it was still under warranty. He decided not to charge me for coming out. They have always tried their best to work with me and have always been very nice and professional.

They were great as usual. My dishwasher is over 30 years old and I was sure I would end up having to replace it, but they not only had the necessary part, Tony actually had one on the truck.

I was very pleased with the repair. Tony knew what was wrong, he worked efficiently, left a clean environment, and helped us better understand how to care for the dryer. We will call Duncan next time we need any appliance repair or maintenance.

He was referred to me by the manufacturer and I was happy to see that he was listed on Angie's list too. After looking at the problem, he had to order the part so it was a good week before the repairs could be done. He had to come back a week after completing the repair because the door would not close properly. That was due to the installation of the unit and not his fault. He corrected the problem and did not charge me for it. In additional to doing the repairs he gave me some helpful tips to get better results from the cleaning. He was also remindful of the warranty. I was not happy that I had to replace the control unit on a 2 year old machine (Whirlpool) but that was not his fault. Overall, I believe he did a good job.

I have used him before to repair our stove and he did a great job then. This time was very good as well. He is extremely nice and I like him very much. He did a fine job and took the time to explain what he was doing.

Excellent customer service! We were obviously upset that the (fairly new) fridge stopped working and we lost all the food in the fridge and freezer. We were also frustrated when we tried to use the customer service center at the store from which we purchased the built-in Jenn Air refrigerator. After being routed overseas and trying to explain the problem (several times), we were told that the store did not have a record of us and they could not determine if we were covered by a warranty. We called Duncan Appliance Service, and they not only fixed our seious fridge issue in less than a week, but the owner discovered we had a three year warranty still in effect. When I pulled out my checkbook to pay his service fee, he told me "no charge." Excellent experience.

I couldn't have asked for any more. I would ask for him again and I would wait for him if he was busy.

I called an got an appointment the same week for a service repairman to come to our house. Cathy was very friendly and helpful in taking our information, getting a description of the problem, and booking our appointment. We were the last appointment of the day, which turned out to mean that the repairman ran out of time to come to our place, but we chatted on the phone about the problems with our fridge and determined that he did not have all the supplies he needed to fix our problem, so the service call would not have been productive anyway. We rescheduled for the following week. Tony did a great job of showing us what each of the problems were, and how they were going to be fixed. He also switched the hinges on our fridge and freezer doors, so that we could open from a more convenient side in our kitchen. He was very pleasant and thorough, and our fridge works like a charm now! Duncan Appliance Service will be our go-to repair service for our major appliance issues in the future.

Steve Duncan's company is a model for appliance service companies. Our issue was not difficult for Steve to diagnosis so after he ordered the part, he spent a few minutes talking with me about an issue with our refrigerator. It is making an 'new' noise and he explained to me what is causing it and advised that the part is not failing and the refrigerator can last many more years so the repair is not worth the cost. When the ordered part for the dishwasher came in, Steve called to schedule a time to install it. He arrived in the scheduled time period for both visits. Steve's scheduler is also a pleasure to work with.
