INCREDIBLY beautiful work!! Furniture rebuilt by professionals and beautifully recovered. Absolutely gorgeous!!!

The chairs were originally upholstered in (very, very) thin brown leather, which had begun to peel. Dominic's provided us with a wide range of new fabrics to choose from, and we chose the dark blue shown in the accompanying picture. We had been told it would take about 2 weeks to get the fabric we selected (and it took less) and 1-2 weeks to complete the project (it took less than 1 week). They picked up the chairs and on May 29 and delivered the finished product on June 1. They were always on time, always professional. And we are quite pleased with the outcome.

The repairs were done fast and look fantastic. The bottom of the couch was falling out and we opted to have it repaired as it was an antique. New webbing was installed and a new black covering on the bottom. The couch looks better than it has in the 20 years we've had it. Would definitely recommend their work to anyone.

Jon came to my house with many fabric choices. He spent a couple of hours explaining the options (solid vs print). They picked up the couch and delivered a beautiful new couch two weeks later.

It went very well. No complaints. Appreciated their responsiveness and the chair was delivered on time. Very happy!

they were very polite, and accommodating. The communication was wonderful they let me know when the fabric came in and then they notified me in a timely fashion when they were going to pick up the chair to complete the job. i would recommend this company to others.

Dominic’s Design: Very Negative Experience. They were to reupholster our family room collection in faux leather. I started the search for a company over a year before my daughter’s wedding. Dominic’s Design was selected due to the fact they were a family owned business and assured us they would take care of our furniture and complete the job with plenty of time to spare. Dominic was to pick up the furniture on June 9th and return it by July 5th. This was one week before my daughter’s wedding shower. It was not returned when promised, four weeks late and in horrible condition. Seams were crooked, raw edge seams were left in many places, all cushions/pillows under stuffed and shape changed. The frames of the couch, love seat and chair looked bent due to the way the seams were sewn. We had a beautifully plush, over stuffed pillow top collection before Dominic ruined the original design. In addition to all listed above, John and Dominic did not return phone calls and texts, making it very difficult to communicate and feel comfortable with what was happening throughout the process. After returning the furniture, they did agree the job was substandard and they needed to “make it right”. They said they would make our furniture their priority and return it before the wedding. They asked us to understand that this was a business and they had jobs they needed to complete to make a living. We agreed to be patient. They took the chair and ottoman to “Play with them and see if they could figure out what to do to create a pillow top”. 5 weeks later, we did not have our furniture and had major issues with getting both John and Dominic to return our texts and phone calls. Calling the business number in Noblesville connected with an ATT recording stating they could connect us with a similar business since the one being called was no longer in service. We then tried to visit the store located in Carmel, IN only to find apartment buildings at the first address listed on one web site, self-storage units at the second, per a different website. Needless to say, the chair and ottoman were not returned when promised and still need to be reupholstered, as do all pieces of the collection. My furniture was not the beautiful collection I wanted in my family room for many events hosted before and after my daughter’s wedding day. I was completely stressed out by the lack of communication and the substandard job Dominic’s Design delivered. I do not recommend using the company at all.

Dominic and Jon were both great to work with. They were very helpful with picking out fabrics and presenting re-design options. Pick up and delivery went smoothly. The price was good and I am very happy with the end result! I would definitely use this company again.

They worked within my requested time frame, picked up and returned the chairs, and did an excellent job!

It saddens me to write a negative review as this is not something I have had to do in the past. I prefer not to write bad reviews, but this situation was so bad I cannot in good conscience say nothing for those looking for an upholsterer. I found Dominic’s on Angie’s, but as of this past Monday the 16th have no choice but to file a police report for stolen property. First appointment with Dominic's was on 5/2/2017 when they came out to our home to look at what we needed upholstered, took our furniture pieces and a bolt of fabric that cost $250. Soon after they took our items I realized they did not communicate well. I called and left a message for them, but the voicemail was full, I kept trying but no answer and voicemail always full. I didn't know if it was a cell or landline so I thought I'd try texting to see if I'd get a reply and I did....that time, but from that point forward communication was hit and miss. On August 4th (3 months after they took our furniture) I text and asked them to bring everything back since communication was so poor and nothing had been done. On August 17th they FINALLY returned our furniture, but did not return the bolt of fabric that cost us $250. I text them to ask about it, they got right back to me said "sorry will drop off". On Oct 8th (almost 2 months later) they had still not dropped it off. Tired of dealing with them and also needing my fabric, I sent another text telling them they have 1 week to return the fabric or I'd have no choice but to file a police report for stolen property. I never heard back from them and they still have NOT returned the fabric. Everything I have stated in this review is accurate and can be confirmed through the text history that I have kept.

Sofa looks awesome! Very pleased. Reasonably priced.

It went very smoothly. Told us exactly what needed to be done up front and how long it would take to complete.

Dominic's came out to my house and gave me a FREE estimate, all other companies I called charged a fee for estimates! They were very professional and knowledgeable. They picked up the furniture and returned it back within the time frame given. We absolutely LOVE the new contemporary look they gave our old, outdated furniture. The fabrics they brought to the home and help pick out made the room the way we envisioned it! Happy, Happy, Happy!!!!!!!

UPDATE: I hope these people are not in business because the work they did for me has proven to be terrible (not to mention on the issues about meeting deadlines). I noticed the couch (which never really gets used) has one side coming apart where they never stitched it. This company should really go out of business they are so bad. Maybe it was great at one point but not anymore. I found Dominic’s on Angie’s list but at this point, wish I had gone with someone else. Two guys came out and looked at the two pieces that I wanted to get re-upholstered. That was September 27. I gave a deposit of $1600 and they promised to have it done in 3 – 4 weeks max. They said they needed to order the material and it would be in within 2 weeks. After 3 weeks of not hearing back from them to come and pick up the pieces, I found out they were busy on a “restaurant” order. They would come the following week and pick it up. I called again and they came to get the pieces, said they would be done in 1 – 2 weeks. Needless to say, it has been two weeks, I have called them twice, they haven’t returned my calls. I would give them an F rating right now but I haven’t seen the quality of their work. I am giving them a D because I feel they have misled me, they knew I was under a time crunch and it has now been more than 6 weeks since they took my money and ran. Take your business to someone who is more responsive and cares about their customer’s needs.

They did a perfect job. We could not be more pleased! It looks better than new. They were also very nice and easy to work with.

Dominic's came to my house showed fabric samples and gave me a price for my sofa and chair. The price was great and the fabric that they help me picked out was perfect!!. Two week later they pick up my furniture. The job was completed in only 7 days. My sofa and chair look amazing. I would definitely use Dominics again.

We had used Dominic's a few years ago to recover a couch and chair. They were very professional and punctual and the work was superior. When we needed a bench recovered we immediately knew who to contact. Dominic's quickly responded to our request and the bench was recovered in no time and at a great price. Will continue to use Dominic's in the future and would recommend others to use them as well.

We made an appointment with Dominics to have a very expensive couch and chair upholstered. John brought a wide variety of samples for our review. The job was done in a very timely manor. We were extremely pleased with the final results. We have received many compliments on the appearance and professional workmanship. We would highly recommend their service.

I bought a deal to have two old chairs recovered. We never got together, either physically or about how the work would proceed and I turned the deal back for another deal (which also came to nothing).

We needed 2 chairs reupholstered. Dominic and his son John came to the house with sample books for my husband and I to choose from. They were knowledgeable about the fabrics, and we quickly agreed on a fabric choice. The chairs were not picked up until the fabric order had arrived. They arrived promptly, and the chairs were completed and delivered quickly. We are very pleased with our new chairs! The craftmanship is excellent. The chairs were pricey, but upholstery isn't cheap. They were competetively priced. I am happy to recommend them!

Father and son were excellent to work with. Very nice and their customer service was excellent. Assisted with ideas and brought several books to my house to review. Very knowledgeable about their craft and very proud of it. The end product is excellent and I am very happy with the results!

I found Dominic's from Angie's List after getting nowhere with La-Z-Boy who I originally purchased this pair of recliners from. They weren't that old but the fabric on just one of the chairs was badly frayed and torn on one leg rest (removable). La-Z-Boy told me the fabric was no longer available and they were no help at all. So, I went to Dominic's with the piece from the chair and miraculously, they had a swatch of the fabric in one of their books!! They were able to order the fabric, re-cover this one piece and essentially save the appearance and lifespan of these two chairs that were not that old. This was a needle in a haystack moment. Furthermore, the work was top-notch and done in a timely manner. I would recommend them for other upholstery jobs.
