Barbara Bougher, founder of Divine Order, is a professional organizer coach who works with individuals to clear physical and emotional clutter. Disorganization comes in many forms and can be the source of frustration, stress and loss of control of space, time and life. Without judgment and with fun and a sense of humor, Barbara helps clients regain their power to create calm in their lives. As a Certified Organizer Coach Barbara will work with you to identify your goals, design solutions that fit your needs, and create routines and accountability to sustain success with desired change. Barbara is a Certified Professional Organizer and Certified Organizer Coach. She is an active member of the International Coaching Federation, the National Association of Professional Organizers, and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization.

What an amazing experience! My knitting center was a mess of yarn, knitting needles, patterns, books, bags, projects and accessories. It felt like an impossible job to get everything under control, but Barbara delivered Divine Order in a few hours! Barbara took the time to understand the issues I was having with all the and quot;stuffand quot; and how I wanted to be able to access everything. With that information, she quickly surveyed the shelves, cabinets and containers and magically recommended a plan of action for taming the beast. In one afternoon, we got everything sorted, stored and labeled; and, if that wasn't enough, Barb helped me develop a plan to create and maintain digital records for my yarn, books, magazines, patterns and projects. I've since implemented that plan and can now quickly access and update the information on the Internet. For someone like me who is and quot;organizing challenged,and quot; this is nothing short of a MIRACLE!!! I heartily recommend Barbara and Divine Order for anyone who needs help organizing a space or process. Her positive outlook, supportive attitude and unflagging energy are contagious. She tailors her recommendations and solutions to YOUR goals, needs and priorities while also coaching you on how to maintain the lovely outcome. What more could you ask??!!! Best money ever spent! She is truly divine, sincere, positive, supportive, hardworking -- a blessing! I didn't know when I hired her but she is also a life coach who provided calm and emotional support to me as well. If neither of us knew the answer, she would make an extra effort to find out what should be done. She is WONDERFUL, and I could not have gotten through that time without her.
Description of Work: Following dissolution of 28 year marriage, I needed to sort through items in home to determine what to keep, sell, pitch or donate in preparation for move following sale of home. Overwhelming time to say the least. Barb came over for initial assessment consultation, then followed up with an assessment summary listing goals to be accomplished during the 10-hour package I purchased for her professional services.

Barbara is, well, divine to work with. She has helped me in the past to overcome some serious clutter and restore order to my home. On this visit I was ready for a second go at the coat closet. We pulled out 7-8 boxes and I put two back. The rest were either boxed for donation or moved to garage storage. I had about 30 small collectible figurines. She helped me itemize them for sale and put them in their original boxes. She is the absolute best!

Description of Work: I have always been an organized person. However, most of us have areas where we need help getting past the clutter. I envisioned Barbara helping me organize my years of photos. Then my husband died unexpectedly, and my life was turned upside down. I had to sell my large house, figure out what to keep, sell, donate or give to family, put my belongings in storage, move out of state for three months, and return to a new smaller house which needed to be organized. In addition, being the executor of the estate and the recipient of our business, I was handling many financial and legal matters I had never dealt with before. To say I was overwhelmed was a gross understatement. To all of this Barbara brought her very calm gentle and warm presence, She is very professional and I had complete confidence that I was in good hands. Between visits she stayed in touch with me by phone and email. She took many matters in hand that I didn't have the time or energy to do, such as creating a plan for disposing of household items complete with workbook, providing options for moving and storage, and organizing a massive amount of paperwork. She also provided assistance with organizing my things in a house half the size of my former one. I have been grateful for her help many times, but especially when I am called upon to produce some paperwork for the attorneys or IRS. I can go right to it in the files she created. I realize that the amount I spent would probably be higher than normal because I needed her for such an extended period of time (seven months). She not only provided me with guidance, she also provided the materials I needed for organizing, such as file folders and filing boxes. This was included in the costs. She knew right what to get and where to get it, thus saving valuable time for me. She then helped me mark every one of them and sort the paperwork into them. And yes, I will use her again for those photos and also to help me maintain the organization I have now.

I have worked with Barbara another time and ndash; in another home. She is consistently professional, well-organized, and thorough -- wrapping it all in humor. Without Barbara, my husband and I were just not motivated to tackle all the files and stacked up paperwork in our home office. She kept us working at a good pace, encouraging us to continue throughout the day and helped us to see new ways that we could maintain an organized office space. In both times of working with Barbara, she brought a can-do attitude without any judgment. When you've accumulated a lot of junk, it's easy to feel shame or guilt at not doing a better job of keeping your files or possessions in order. You don't have to feel embarrassed with Barbara (despite how bad it can be) and she helps you see new ways at organizing your home or office. I've heard other people talk about professional organizers and it seems that some help you in a pinch but prepare to work with you again in a year or two when you get to the same level of messiness. Barbara completes the process by helping you define ways for maintaining the new level of order so you can do it on your own. Finally, my husband did not want to spend a Saturday working on his office but he had to be the one to determine much of what went and what stayed. He even admitted at the end of the day that it was a pretty good process and he was surprised how painless the experience had been.
Description of Work: Barbara Bougher came to our home, assessed the disorder in our home office and described a plan of action. We already knew that we were finally ready to get through all the old papers, files and junk and the 3 of us (my husband, myself and Barbara) got to work. Barbara was so great -- keeping us focused to push through the mess with humor and terrific skills. We'll have her back to work on other areas of our home!

I have worked with Barbara over the past 2-3 years on several organizing/de-cluttering projects in my home. This was another productive, rewarding and amazing session with her. I had estimated it would take 6-8 hours with two of us. When were done, she let me know it took just 2 1/2 hours. In that short amount of time, with her help and coaching a major drain on my life and resources was completely turned around. She was hands-on, supportive, encouraging, asking key questions as I evaluated all these things. Whenever you have to tackle a tough organizing/de-cluttering job, the lesson I've learned from Barbara is that it is always more productive and easier and doable working with someone. She approaches the jobs with kindness, humor, compassion and a plethora of skills to and quot;Git R Dunand quot;. I've worked with several professional organizers over the years and Barbara is by far the best. The names of her company - Divine Order - is exactly what she brings. I highly, highly recommend her services.
Description of Work: I had a storage unit (about the size of a generous walk-in closet) that I needed to sort through and organized the items for pick up by Junk Dawgs hauling service. The job was too monumental for me to do by myself, so I hired Barbara to help me with it. We named it the "Git R Dun" session. I first had a coaching call with her ($25) to sort through what needed to be done. Then we met at the storage unit ($100). I arrived a bit early and had everything out of the unit before she arrived. Our work consisted of going through EVERYTHING, identifying it as keep, donate, consign, recycle, trash. Barbara made a list of all the donate for tax purposes as well as the consign items. Boxes for donate were tagged with blue stickers to make it easier for the hauling company. We then put everything back in the unit with the things I was keeping/consigning to the back and the rest in the front. Once completed, Barbara re-capped the project and asked me some insightful questions.
