The guy that owns and operates this place is a stand-up gentleman. When my phone went crazy I wasn't sure what it needed or what I had done, but when I called he knew immediately what I was talking about and what I needed. He even had the parts in stock. Unfortunately, he was going to be closed before I was off work. He actually stayed open late for me, waited for me to come in, and did the repair that night. To top it off, I couldn't find my charge card when all was said and done, and despite my offer to leave my phone or ID until I could get back the next day, he told me not to worry about it, and that we would do the right thing or wouldn't. Of course we made certain he got paid, but frankly you just don't find guys like this one in the service industry much anymore. I've recommended him to absolutely everybody, and will always take him my business given the chance!

Phone hit the pavement. Went into CPR the next day. Screen had to be ordered- on backorder. The front of the store is a little off-putting. We waited a really long time to talk to someone and could hear conversations from the back. The folks who finally talked to us were helpful. They said it would be $175 but it was $195 in the end. Honestly I think we just forgot to remind them of the Angies List discount. The screen took a couple of weeks to get in but they called and kept us updated and called as soon as our part arrived. It was ready in 2 hours and it looks brand new. I would use them again. Hopefully I won't need to.

The gentlemen in the store at the time were very friendly and welcoming. They were never, throughout the repairs, condescending at all I felt that their price was quite fair for what I was asking. They did not try to sell me anything extra. I was very impressed with the professionalism and the individual treatment. I was quite pleased.

Very well. They fixed it for cheaper than anyone else I found. And when the screen looked slightly funny afterwards, they were happy to spend more time on it for free.

An AT and T representative had told me about CPR and stated he had heard good things about them. I called, spoke with someone there, and when I explained what was going on, he actually was able to diagnose it over the phone. They did not have a lot of walk-in traffic at that time, and told me if I could get there quickly, they could probably repair it while I waited. It took them approximately 20 minutes to replace the port. I received a 6 month warranty on their work. I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED. I would recommend them to anyone. The $67, which included labor, parts, and tax, was MUCH cheaper than my $150 deductible on my cell phone insurance. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Service was good. Some minor streaks were left on new glass. Phone is very usable... but not quite like new.

I'm pleased with the result, and maybe I don't fully understand the process, but I did think it was a little expensive.

They previously replaced a video chip on this device after it had been dropped, so they seemed the best place to go to fix the audio problem it had been having. I contacted them on the phone to make sure they could do the repair. They checked their inventory and made sure they had the part they needed to do the work. We dropped it off on Wednesday evening and picked it up the next evening. Seems to be working great now. I have also contacted them previously about repairing some display problems with my 5th gen iPod Touch: they indicated that they could do the repair, but it would be expensive, and I should contact Apple to see about repairing or replacing it first. As a result I was able to get that device replaced for free under warranty: I should have thought of that myself, but I'm grateful to CPR for suggesting it!

Verizon sent me here when they couldn't give me any fix for my phone that wouldn't charge. Computer CPR looked at the phone, tested a good battery in it and tested my battery in a different phone. They made no promise they could fix it but said most likely it was just bad software and recommended a complete reboot. We tried it in the shop and it worked! My phone charges now and they wouldn't even let me pay. I have already recommended them to everyone I know. Great guys!

Super fast service and very courteous guys; repaired the glass on my iphone and then a few weeks later when the display was totally non-functional, they told me to bring it in and they fixed it at no charge since the original repair was covered by a six month warranty. Professional, courteous, affordable service; what more can you ask for? Saved me hundreds of dollars by fixing my iphone so I didn't have to consider buying a new one.

An unfortunate accident at a wedding over the weekend left me with a broken smart phone. Because I don't have insurance, my options at that point were severely limited. I didn't want to replace the phone at full retail ($599) and didn't want to fork out $300-$400 for a used one. I stopped at the Verizon store to see if they could help me out. They recommended a call to CPR (Cell Phone Repair) in Carmel. I called CPR from Verizon's parking lot, and the tech correctly assessed my problem over the phone. He told me to bring my phone in within the hour and they could repair it while I waited. As suspected, the phone needed a new LCD and digitizer. They also replaced the front glass on the phone. Everything was explained to me up front and the total bill was even $10 less than the original estimate. The phone looks and more importantly PERFORMS, like it's brand new. All three of the staff members on hand were totally professional and very knowledgeable. I love to support local businesses, especially ones as competent as CPR. My cell phone quit working. I didn't recall whether or not it had been in my purse when I put it in a lavoratory that (unbeknownst to me) had an electronic battery that caused the water to turn on, filling my purse. CPR showed me a color inside the phone that proved it HAD been exposed to water. They tried a used battery they had on hand. The phone took the charge, so they said that might do the trick. If it didn't hold the charge, though, I was to let them know and they'd order a new battery. (My phone uses a back housing battery instead of the usual internal battery.) I tried the used battery a week and then told them I needed a new battery. They said they'd have to order a new battery, and it'd take 3-5 business days to arrive, I said I'd need to try to locate one in Indy since I was leaving on a 10-hour trip. The salesman/repairman said he'd see if (nearby) Batteries Plus had the battery in stock. They did. He gave me directions and also gave me my money back for the used battery. I was impressed at his giving me the money back and his helping me find the battery at a competitor's store. He didn't have to do either. I will return if I ever have cell phone problems again.

It was a great experience. After I'd cracked my iPhone screen in a couple places about 20 months ago I'd checked with Apple and decided $200 was more than I wanted to spend to replace the phone. (They don't just replace the glass, they replace the whole phone.) Then yesterday I dropped the phone and the glass shattered, but it stayed in place and the phone still worked. Within a couple hours, though, I knew that there was a difference between and quot;still workedand quot; and and quot;still workable.and quot; I use my phone constantly as much more than a phone, and knew I couldn't live with it this way for very long. Thinking that $200 was definitely still more than I wanted to spend, especially to fix a phone I'll probably replace in a couple months when the next generation is released, I searched online and found a couple local companies who do this type of repair, but neither was close to me. So then I checked Angie's List and read about Carmel Cell Phone Repair. It's located five minutes from my office, and though there was only one report so far, it was a good one. I looked at their web site and it said they provide email estimates, so I submitted a request late Sunday evening and had a response by Monday morning with an estimate of the cost and time it would take to fix ($75, and 25-30 minutes while I waited). This wasn't the lowest local price, but for the convenience of being so close to my office and doing it while I waited, it was worth a little extra cost. I took it in at lunchtime on Monday, it was ready in less than the 30 minutes originally promised, and it works great. I asked how long the store had been there, and they told me they're a new business that opened earlier in 2011. There were several guys working there, all very pleasant and professional. I'll definitely go back if we need any other out-of-warranty phone repairs.
