Chris Dykes is an excellent realtor. He is very knowledgeable, professional and prompt in responding to any of your needs. He did an excellent job in marketing our home. Even though he is extremely busy, he treats every client as if they were his only client - no matter what the price range. When we received our inspection, Chris was very helpful in recommending contractors to make the repairs. He also went into our attic and crawlspace to assess some issues that the inspector brought up. Not many realtors will do that! This was above and beyond his scope of work. I highly recommend Chris to anyone in need of a realtor. He is not only an excellent realtor but a good person, who wants what is best for his client.

Chris Dykes and his associate Danielle Maynard were astounding! My property was by no means a million dollar property yet from the first meeting until the last, they attended to every detail as if it was. They stayed in constant contact regarding what to do in order to get the best response for a potential sale. In some cases, they were able to suggest contractors when I wasn't able to find a reasonable fit. I don't live in the city that I was selling the house, so they even offered to be available to let the contractors in for needed repairs! Everything related to our home purchase went smoothly thanks to their knowledge of the market, their persistence (we had a challenging time finding the right house), and their professionalism in dealing with the seller's agent. My initial contact was with Chris. I left a text message at his number and he texted me right back. The Dykes team proved to be just that responsive throughout the process of finding a home. Sheri Dykes took very good care of me and kept my needs and wants in mind over the several months of house hunting, even when we had to do it long-distance. She kept me informed of what was coming on the market and showed some of the homes to my son. When the house that I bought came on the market she was very wise to help me quickly put in my offer so that it was not lost to another buyer. She helped me do the preliminary paperwork through e-mail so that I did not have to make an extra trip to the area. She was very thorough in walking me through the purchasing process. When I moved she arranged for the signing of documents in a way that was very convenient and calm. I felt like I was always in good and honest and wise (and prayerful) hands.

Chris, Shari and their team at Carpenter Realtors at 61st & College listed and sold several of our investment properties. This included a short sale that took nearly a year from start to finish and involved an unbelievable amount of work by the Dykes team. They had to work with the lender and navigate through their very complicated process for us. In addition, they kept the buyers and the buyer's agent informed and committed to seeing the process through. On the sale of another house they worked with a difficult investor keeping the sale on track through closing. This report hardly does justice to the amount of time, effort and caring that they showed us personally and their assistance in getting us through some extremely difficult financial times. We cannot recommend them highly enough for any real estate transactions. They are 100% professional and very caring about achieving their customers' goals. They really listen and do a fantastic job.

We had a challenging property to sell and Chris and Shari had it sold within a couple of weeks. It was a very nice townhome for which much of other property was still under development. We had listed the property with another good realtor for six months so when it didn't sell, we switched to the Dykes team. There were excellent communications from the beginning and regularly. They believe in using every mode of communications to market properties including newspaper advertising. They made a few recommendations, helped negotiate throughout the process including the inspection items, and especially had a good sense of the price which would help sell the property more quickly. We wished we would have used them from the beginning as they had been good neighbors of ours before and we were happy to re-connect with them. We highly recommend them!

His wife Shari also did a great job of helping us present our home to its best advantage, and we had a purchase offer after only 3 weeks on the market. Whenever we had any questions or concerns, Chris was always very prompt about getting back to us and figuring out the right solution for us. Chris put together information to help us with a plan for out property tax appeal. We were very clear that we had no plans on selling our house anytime in the near or distant future. He spent a good amount of time on this project and did not charge us a dime. We learned a great deal about our neighborhood and how insane the property tax assessment processes is. I would use Chris if we ever needed a realtor and would recommend him.

Chris and Danielle were a pleasure to work with and are a great team. When the wife and I met them we were immediately impressed and that says a lot considering they were the 3rd realtor team that we had used. The 1st agent that we hired (last summer) just did not work very hard for us and I guess had better things to do as the house was on the market for THREE MONTHS and didn't sell. The 2nd agent we hired a couple months ago looked at our previous listing and just felt like he didn't have a good easy deal and backed out after a few weeks. Chris and Danielle were a different story, they listened to our story, took notes and put together a game plan and plain and simple and to the point SOLD THE HOUSE IN TWO DAYS after listing it. The communication was off the charts as Chris or Danielle always answered our calls and if not were sure to get back with you within the hour. Danielle always was on top of any paperwork that needed to be signed, explained all the forms, always sent emails on feedback and the marketing of our home. Work that needed to be done before selling Chris had the contacts of good honest people that were reasonable and could be out at the house in a couple days. We were concerned with how much equity we would get at the closing table and also worried about $6000.00 of chimney repair. I shared these concerns with Chris and he went to work for us and we not only got the "full listing price" of the home but also Chris negotiated the $6000 chimney repair in the deal. I found Chris on Angie's list, called him, and explained the situation. Even though if she went through the with the sale, Chris was not going to earn a commission he was MORE than willing to help us by doing a quick appraisal of the home to give us the information we needed to make a sound decision. I spoke with him on a Thursday, had preliminary information back to me on Friday, and went so far to meet me at the house on Monday to go through it so he had an accurate idea of the condition of the property and the surrounding homes. And then he had a valuation back to me on Tuesday along with suggestions of different contractors for inspections and to look at the foundation of the home. We are still finalizing if we will go through with the purchase as we wait for an inspection, but if she does then Chris will have helped reduce the asking price of the home by $15,000 thanks to his thorough valuation and information he provided. Chris has still answered other questions I have had since providing the report, and has been willing to help negotiate anything with the seller we need help with for a incredibly nominal fee. If my ex-wife does not follow through with the sale, then we will certainly have Chris help with locating another home. Chris & Shari DEFINITELY know customer service and how to genuinely assist people with their needs. They have the best interest of their clients at heart, and unlike a lot of realtors I have met it isn't all about the money. They want to earn your business and as long as I am in Indiana they will be who I will use or refer anyone asking for a reference.

From the first contact to completion, I found Chris Dykes every thing I could have wished. Prompt, professional and thorough. I will certainly use his services as I have need in the future and would recommend him to others.

After an initial email and phone conversation, Chris checked on our timing needs, and quickly sent information on comparable sold and listed properties. Then, we talked through it on the phone a couple of days later and he gave very helpful, logical advice on how our home compared, and the recommended listing price. He followed up quickly with an email summarizing our conversation.

Knowing that I really just needed an home value estimate for dissolution of marriage, Chris was able to respond very quickly based on information he collected on my area, pictures and, of course, his experience in this field. I felt he valued my home quickly, fairly, and he did the estimate without it costing me an arm and a leg!

It went fantastically. Chris came, took pictures, consulted with me on the state of my home and potential issues it had before sale. Later, he provided a full write up and market analysis of everything, where we might make improvements, and our expected sale range. Overall, he's an honest and diligent agent that I wouldn't hesitate to work with again.

Chris was specifically recommended as a realtor of very high integrity that we could trust, and we found that to be very important when working on a significant transaction like the sale of our home. In one week our home had ten showings, two offers, and we ultimately accepted an all cash offer that was a higher price than some other realtors were planning to list at! They were amazing. Chris and Shari came out last winter after a burst pipe to offer advice about how much to renovate in preparation for selling the place. They usually work with properties worth a lot more than mine, but that didn't stop them from pouring a lot of time and energy into selling my condo. In addition, they were a vital emotional support during a traumatic renovation after a really tough winter. Danielle handled the sale, which came unexpectedly quickly when Chris was out of town. She was a gem. I can't recommend this team highly enough.

We didn't end up using their services but were most impressed by the professionalism. Although Chris knew our problem had already been resolved he offered his advise even though he wasn't going to make a penny. Our dealings were short but I have to believe one couldn't go wrong hiring the couple for any real estate needs.
