CARMEL COUNTERTOPS

Used Carmel Countertops to install new granite in our kitchen. Started in June and finally got the install scheduled for end of Oct. Installation went well and we are happy with the countertops. A couple days later I noticed a few stains. I emailed Kathy in the beginning of Nov to have them come out and look. Per came out right before Thanksgiving to look at the multiple spots and said he would contact someone to come out and remove the stains. I left multiple messages in Dec and got vague responses when I actually talked with either Kathy or Jean. It's Jan. and I still don't know the plan on removing the stain spots on my new countertop. I'm posting a review in hopes in getting their attention.

They never responded to my inquiry.

After several follow up phone calls, I did not hear back or receive any estimate from Kathy. I previously heard from others that Carmel Countertops is not returning phone calls in a timely manner. It was difficult to get an appointment in the first place so I should have learned from that experience. I am currently working with another company to complete my project.

They did a very good job. Their scheduling was good and they came on time. They had the right man power as they needed a large crew due to the countertop being so heavy.

From start to finish Kathy and Per were attentive to what we had in mind, our budget and the installation. Kathy met with us in the shop and at the distributor to select our slabs. Per did a great job measuring and designing the templates. As a result, the installation was flawless. Very pleased with the results!!

It went well! We like the granite, it works well for the space and we bought two pieces of granite from the same lot. The product was cut perfectly to fit the space. They showed up as planned. The installation was done perfectly without any problems whatsoever. The tile installer showed up the next day to do the tile back-splash and CCT coordinated this work. The tile install went well and looks great!

They offered to sell me a remnant that they had available. A few days later I got an email from them asking if I did, in fact, want to purchase the remnant. I wrote back and said yes. I never got a response. I wrote back several more times and said I did want to buy it but never heard from them again. Very bad customer services - which is unfortunate because the process started out great and they were helpful at first. Not sure what happened but I thought it was very unprofessional to not respond.

They were wonderful. We checked out lots of different places but we chose them because of their honesty. They were perfect; they were so honest about the pricing and not pushy. They told us about different warehouses where we could go and look at granite. They were very professional and we really liked them. I absolutely would use them again. We were very happy with them.

They did a great job and I would use them again in the future.

We did a full bathroom remodel, and I really wanted an "upscale" top but it wasn't in our budget. I visited their shop looking for solutions, and they had a remnant piece of quartz that was perfect for our bathroom. They were able to create a double-bowl 60-inch vanity top for us for about $200 less than a lower-quality cultured marble top would cost. I was thrilled! When they came to measure for the top, they were also willing to cut another small top for a storage cabinet and a trim piece where we needed to hide a problem related to our house's crooked walls and floors. I assumed they would charge me for those pieces and was fine with that, but they didn't. Thank you! They get a B for responsiveness and professionalism b/c they are not great about returning phone calls. They agreed to work directly with our contractor for installation but did not return his phone calls until I called them. But otherwise it was a great experience for a great price, and we will visit them again when we are ready to do our kitchen remodel.

I am very impressed with the piece of granite. It was cut exactly to the size I asked and it looks great. The granite is HEAVY so I highly suggest having them install it for you (I wish I did). I will definitely use this company again when I have counter top needs.

Gave them a deadline which they met--actually 3 days early. Only complaint was not answering a couple of my emails. Would highly recommend this company.

It was a wonderful experience. Their price was reasonable, the quality was good, and Kathy and Per are one of the nicest persons we had ever worked with!

The work was great and they allowed us to pick out the slab we wanted at a much more competive price than the other companies we met with. However it took quite a while to get the job done for no real reason. Some components of the project changed but not enough to impact the amount of time it took to get the project done. I had to go by the office several times to get updates and felt like I was constantly checking in trying to get the job done. But they were always nice and courteous when I was there and the work was very good.

They came to measure our bathroom cabinet the next day after talking with them at their site and selecting the granite and the sinks to be installed. From the initial consultation to the time of installation was about 3 weeks and was "on target" with the date given to us.

Very well, it was done in 4 stages. Kathy met us to pick out the slab. Her experience was invaluable making a difficult decision much easier. Kitchen installation first and due to mismatched cabinets the installation was complicated and took langer than expected but was expertly done with no extra charge. Master bath second was a breeze in and out in 30 min. Third hall bath, picked out granite from bone pile very reasonably priced and installed very quick. I would recommend Carmel Countertop to anyone interested in granite countertops. We were very pleased with the entire process. They performed beyond our expectations.

Used Carmel Countertops because of price and past experience by our daughter. Installers did a very good job, however the new sink was not the one ordered. To get the desired sink would mean replacing the granite because of the cutout needed. They denied we ordered the desired sink until we produced the document they had signed and indicated the desired sink. We requested and finally received a credit of $500, the cost of the installed sink. They need to have better business practices in regard to writing down what their customers order, providing detailed descriptions of what will be provided, and providing copies of all paperwork to their customers. They also do not call you back in a very timely manner, whenever you have any questions. The end product is very nice.

It was a bad experience. They told me they would come out because it was close to the end of their business day and I never heard from them. I called them and they told me they would be out in a week. I had to call them again because they never showed up, then they finally came out and measured. They then told me that they would be out in a month when the countertop was cut and measured. A month came and I still hadn't heard from them. I called them again and they told me they would be out in three days. I called them again the day they were suppose to show up and they told me that they couldn't make it. Finally, we rescheduled and they showed up; however, they broke the sink trying to bring it in the house. Since they broke the sink they had to go back and fix it, so it was a week later before it got installed. Finally, they installed the sink but never gave me care directions on it or anything. They nicked my wall and never apologized or anything. The price was good. Can I give an "F-"?

Excellent communications, they worked with us on picking out the granite. Each meeting they were on time.

It was a wonderful experience. There was a delay that was out of their control, but they threw in a few extras for us since we were inconvenienced.

They came out and did a thorough estimate and discussed various options so that we could make a decision regarding the types of counter we wanted. We had gone to a few other companies and found their price to be the best and they were very personable and professional. They did an excellent job installing the counters and we are very pleased with how they look. We had a few communication/responsiveness issues early on where we were waiting for an estimate after they had been to our house and had to call to remind them, but overall, very pleased with their work.

The gentleman who runs the company was very particular and knowledgeable of the products being used. The owner of the company was the one who installed the countertops and it was nice to work with the same person the whole time. They did a great job and I would use them again.

This was the first time we had used their services. It went real well. They were quick and efficient. They were the cheapest by far. They were real helpful.

It went great. I love the new countertops.

Had to redo the job twice, but were quick to do it. Person that did the measurements did it wrong, redid and brought them back the same day. Work was outstanding. Willing to do whatever it took to get it done. Found a person for us to take the sink apart and put back on as well. They were the best priced of everyone we talked to.
