 + -1 moreI called on a Friday and they had a service man to the house Monday morning at 8 am. The service man was quick with his work. He came prepared with all necessary parts (unlike a previous experience with a different contractor). The hole that was required to be cut in the drywall inside the house was done very neatly and all mess was cleaned up and access door instaled. The entire repair took about an hour!
Description of Work: Drippy exterior water faucet was replaced.

They were able to repair the clogged drain, which required more work than just snaking, in a short period of time (I had them come first thing in the morning prior to work.) The cost and quality of work was great. We had been putting off calling a plumber because we thought we'd be hit with a hefty bill. The cost was surprising reasonable. I only wish I had called earlier so that I didn't have to deal with standing tub water for 2+ weeks.
Description of Work: Bedell Plumbing addressed a clogged tub/shower. They had to replace a portion of the original pipe in the basement.

 + -1 moreIt took two trips out to our house and two different plumbers to make the repair. Some difficulty with flushing handle, flapper valve and water shut off. When they were all done the toilet still made a loud thumping sound whenever we flushed. Their plumbers need more training. They were courteous and respectful. We had to hire another company to make a good repair.

 + -1 moreI was a bit disappointed as a layperson, I expected the hot water faucet to have a red handle, and the cold water to have a blue, and they put two blue on. When I had the washing machine installed, the guy had to ask which one was the hot and which one was the cold. I was told by another provider that the hot is always on the left and the cold is always on the right, but it would've been nice to have a different color for a layperson. It was minor. They were pretty good. They were punctual and professional. I would probably use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced the hot and cold faucets on my washing machine. I used a coupon from Angie's List.

 + 1 moreThis was the first time we ever had water in our basement. The temporary fix worked great and our basement stayed try as it continued to rain through July. When they came to bore a flexible line underground it want so smoothly we can only see it at either end. They were all very friendly and courteous and tried to not disturb the yard as little as possible. We thought a whole trench would need to be dug and this went much smoother and was done in 1/2 a day. We have used this company about 20 years and always feel we get free pricing and good deals. The work on our plumbing is solid! I'm always patient to wait if it's not an emergency and if it's an emergency they can get to us quickly.
Description of Work: We had water backing up into our basement from the outside sump pump through the window because the ground was so saturated. I called Jay and he had someone to us in 30 minutes to give us a temporary fix where they disconnected the original hook-up and added 20 feet of PVC piping to have it flush out further out into the garden. He even put a flat brick we had under it so it wouldn't dig a hole. We then got an estimate and had the line bored under the length of our backyard which slopes downhill to the back, away from the house where the water can run out to a common greenway. We did have some timing issues over the line getting put in but since it was raining and the temporary line worked well I didn't worry to much. I just wish they would have called to give us more of a heads up with the delay.

 + -1 moreThis was not a small job requiring removing our hot water heater, breaking up of concrete, getting in the crawl, etc. However, the price that was quoted was 3 1/2 times the amount of the estimate of another Angie's List plumber (who we hired). The guys seemed nice and knowledgeable but their pricing is way out of line. I will not call these guys again.

 + 0 moreThe tech was actually early to the appointment, quickly diagnosed the issues which were not with a clogged line (ie tree roots), but rather both toilets needed a partial rebuild and the drain was unclogged about 5 feet in. I am writing this review 1 week later and the issues were completely resolved. The tech was expedient, thorough, and all with a sense of humor. Thank you!

 + 0 moreThey sent out two technicians, Brian and David, within 24 hours of our initial contact with them. When they came out they attempted to clean out the sewer. They told us that they had 100 feet of cable, but isn't wasn't enough to unblock/clean out the sewer completely. Since they couldn't solve the problem, they left forcing us to call/pay another company to come out and they were able to successfully clean out the sewer.
Description of Work: They attempted to clean out our sewer which was so clogged that it backed up into the basement.

I sold scrap copper pipe for 30$ and used their 20$ coupon from angies list. 350.00 gross cost minus 50$ for scrap and coupon--300.00 net cost
Description of Work: had a new leak unrelated to my first leak(7/15/17) review. when it rains it pours--pun intended. this leak in a copper pipe used to drain kitchen sink and dish washer. pipe in a covered wall space behind the dishwasher. they replaced split copper pipe with pvc pipe and t fitting and 90degree pvc elbow.

They asked if I had tried a couple things, like shaking the pipe that comes from the sewer well, which I had not. I shook the pipe and my problem was solved! I appreciate this help very much. It was out of the goodness of their hearts with no charge. If I need help in the future, they definitely have my business!

 + -1 moreGot the (minor) job done - for $125, in 15 minutes, for repeat work done 9 months earlier that failed, and games played with non-documented "one year" warranty. After using Bedell 4 or 5 times over 10 years, I'll say they are punctual, they get the job done, and if the manager were as aggressive on customer satisfaction as he is to argue, lots of luck with that!

We later had other cabinet workers here who disconnected the sink and then did not reinstall it properly. Mr. Bedell kindly sent a man free of charge to correct that workers mistake when it was not even his responsibility.
Description of Work: They took care of some small issues, but primarily helped us convert a laundry room in our basement so that it can also function as a kitchen. They realligned plumbing and installed a kitchen sink.

 + -1 moreVery well. What I liked best about them, and the reason I chose them was because they would give me an approximate cost range of the job over the phone. Other plumbers I called said they have to come to my house to make an estimate, and charge for that trip. It makes no sense that those others can't give an approximate cost for routine plumbing jobs without charging the customer.
Description of Work: Removal of old shower faucet handle and installation of new one. I had purchased the new parts. Used $20 coupon for the labor.
