Hired to install water softner. This went fine. But during installation, I asked if a check valve should be placed in order to prevent waste from dumping in the sump pump. 'No, it will be fine,' I was told. Well, 3 weeks later my wife is startled by a very loud noise from the basement. Our sump pit was full of salty water and our pump could not pump the water out. I had to pour buckets and buckets of water to diltue the waste. I called Bedell to come back and install the check valve they should have palced during their first visit. I thought they would take care of it since it was their mistake not installing the valve that almost destroyed my sump pump. Instead I was charged $125 (yes, $125!!) to install a check valve which took about 3 mintues to put in. I'm no plumber but installing a check valve to prevent water softner waste from dumping in the sump pump seems simple. It was an omission that cost me over a hundred dollars.

He did all right but I don't know if I would have them again. He was here at the time he said he would be here.

My husband called them, explained the situation and Jay gave him two quotes, one for the easy repair and another for a more complicated repair. When the repairman came it turned out to be the less expensive repair and it the exact price we were quoted.....no extras, no surprises. This company and it's employees went above and beyond service for me because my husband made the call, wrote the check, but only entered "Plumber" in the checkbook. I had some health issues and wasn't able to make a report at the time and of course when I asked my husband the name of the company he couldn't remember. When I received my Angie's List book today I went through it and found a Plumber that sounded familiar. I called, talked to Jay and he took the time to check their records and was able to find the info I needed to make a report. It turns out they did do the work and I promised Jay I would make the report today. The fact that he was so helpful to give me the dates and confirm the info for me makes this provider one I will definitely recommend and kept in my file for future use and also because they did timely, and quality work.

I've had them come out before and they've always been very professional. The technician was very polite and even worked around me working from home in my makeshift office. The work was done quickly and to high quality.

They were prompt in their response to my original email request and arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and date. Both gentlemen were professional and complete in their explanations. The price quote was accurate, they cleaned up everything and I was completely satisfied. I will certainly use the company again when I need a plumber.

We recently had Bedell Plumbing out to look at the sump pump in our garage, which was not adequately pumping water, leaving us at risk of flooding. After assessing the sump pit and pump it was determined the problem resided in the underground drainage pipes in the backyard. The plumber snaked the line but was unable to resolve the issue so recommended we get advanced help from Bedell's excavation division. The next day Robert and his team came out and brought a line with a camera on the end to scope the pipe to see where the problem may be. I was able to view the monitor as it went through the line. We were easily able to see the clay tile had collapsed and dirt and roots were obstructing the drainage flow. With that information, I decided to have Bedell run a new pipe rather than repair the one section (figuring eventually more repairs would be inevitable). We reviewed what would need to be done with pipes in the garage, how they would punch out thru the wall into the ground in the backyard, and then a backhoe would be used to dig the trench. We scheduled the work for two days later. Robert and his team showed up promptly and got to work. One guy handled the pipe work in the garage, Robert operated the backhoe, and the other gentleman helped both as needed. The work was done quickly. I was able to check/monitor progress as they did the work. Everything looked and went great. Robert and his workers were very friendly the entire time, and careful to make sure I understood what was being done. Their professionalism and workmaship exceeded my expectations. They made sure everything was done "right", no shortcuts, and I could confirm this. We've used Bedell in the past, and were happy with the results. This latest experience just confirms we picked the right guys for the job. We would recommend Bedell to anyone who wants the same, positive experience we had.

We called late on a Wednesday morning and they responded within a few hours and cleared the clogged. We had used them before which is why we called. The person who answered the phone was friendly and helpful. He didn't seemed rushed or inconvenienced by taking my call. Overall a good experience and great service.

I called Bedell yesterday and was able to schedule service today at a time that worked around my schedule. I was given a price for the service (which included the new unit) and I was also told about a coupon through Angie's List. They certainly didn't have to alert me to that and it saved me $20! Today, they plumber arrived right on time and was finished within 45 minutes. He explained what he was going to do and did exactly what he said. He was professional and did a great job. I am thrilled with the service and the new disposal!

Cosmetic details were ignored. Kitchen faucet handle is crooked, and I wasn't given an opportunity to clean lime stain around r/o faucet before it was replaced. Bathroom sink drain didn't fit glass bowl so technician caulked around it instead of telling me a different size should be used. When I complained to owner, he sent technician back to re-install correct size drain without additional charge. All pvc pipe was replaced with pex except hot water line inside bathroom wall. When water was turned back on it burst causing more repairs to be required.

They are very professional over the phone. They have a fixed pricing based on the job so it is not an hourly rate which is kind of convenient for certain projects. They are just very professional and responsive.

It went marvelous! I would recommend them to others. I will continue to use them in the future. It is a family owned company, and they really do great work! They are very intuitive to listening and following what will make their customers happy! Their pricing is just right!

The toilet was removed the flange was below the tile floor. The plumber found two wax rings used which is bad practice. The wax rings had also disintegrated. The plumber explained the flange would need to be built up to meet the floor and reseat the toilet. This was completed. The sewer odor was intermittent so I cannot say for sure this was the resolution (I will need to wait for some time to make sure) but I feel confident this was the issue and it was solved.

I contacted Bedell's plumbing inc. through my warranty company for a water stain on my kitchen ceiling they responded quickly and sent me a technician the same day. when the technician showed up he asked for the service at the door without even asking to look at the leak, asked me to sign the service work sheet blank before even doing any work . he went up stairs without wearing any overshoes, he kept going in and out multiple times spending more time on the phone more than what he spent at my house and eventually he told me that he thinks that the leak is because of worn off a shower door gasket and left without even giving me my copy of the service work sheet. Now I still have the leak and he took a $100 dollars just to look and talk on the phone and I have to call another company to look at the leak.

They were really great! I am likely to call them back to use them again.

It went very well. I checked you out on the construction and they’ve been nothing but disaster. You take some and get some. The price was high.

It was a thing of beauty, everything went perfectly. Tom was great and efficient. We have used them before and their prices are always good. The quality of work is also always top notch. Jay is the owner and if you ever have questions or concerns he is always available which is very refreshing. I would highly recommend them.

Ceiling began to show water stains, called Bedell. Came out first thing in the morning, 15 minutes before the schedule time of 8am which was awesome since I needed to get to work. Diagnosed the issue quickly, came back with a reasonable quote, fixed the issue. Great experience.

When we returned home after being out of power, we had water pouring into our basement from somewhere. The service provider stayed on the line with me for about ten minutes as I attempted to find the shut off valve. They came out as promptly as possible and repaired the problem. They have previously replaced our sewer line when the broken line caused a back up of sewage into our basement. They have always been polite and helpful.

This was our first use of Bedell Plumbing, and we couldn't be happier with the service. We had water leaking through our bathroom ceiling from an unknown source. When they first came out, they suspected it was a cracked wax ring on our upstairs toilet, which seemed a likely cause, since we had forcibly plunged the toilet a week or so earlier. They said it would be best to try replacing the ring before resorting to cutting through drywall. We totally agreed. Unfortunately, this didn't fix the problem. The slow leak continued, and they were back later that day to cut through drywall. It turned out to be a leak in our copper pipes, which they promptly fixed. We were especially pleased that they were able to get to us quickly, twice in one day. While it was not a complete emergency, we did have to shut off the water to the house to prevent further damage. So, the fact that they got to us within hours was very much appreciated. Also, we appreciated them taking the time to explain our options, and taking time to do it right. For example, the plumber sat outside for a while to watch our meter to see if it was spinning (to help identify the leak as coming from the fresh water pipes). It didn't seem like they were wanting to immediately jump to the quickest (and most pricey) solution so that they could get onto the next job. (Considering they charge by the job, not the hour, this is something that we were sensitive to.) Their professionalism was top-notch. They wore plastic shoe covers to keep our carpet clean. They were polite. They even took a quick look at a couple of other minor plumbing issues we have, and offered advice without charge. We will definitely look to using Bedell when we decide to fix these problems as well. As far as the price, it seemed very reasonable.

They were great. Very professional, cleaned up after the job was done. Gave me a discount on the water softener with a couple of extra bags of salt for free.

Our hot water heater was under home warranty (which is why the cost was only $100). They came out and replaced it. They were courteous, on time, and knowledgeable. We are thinking of installing a water softener and if we do we will likely use them.

Our garbage disposal unit needs immediate replacement since it is leaking heavily and we could not use half of the kitchen sink. I called the Bedell Plumbing on Thursday AM. Talked to Jay and he quoted me a price of 248 dollars. He told me that all his trucks are out on other jobs and they can come on Friday. He took my name and number and told me that if they become available he will call me back. In the meanwhile I called several leading plumbing companies and they all gave me a price either around this range or much higher than this price. I then got a call from Jay promptly around noon saying that a technician is available. I asked him to go ahead and install it. They came and finished the job in less than 30 minutes. Overall they were very professional and prompt. Great communication with Jay. Except for the price (as per my expectation, but very reasonable compared to other plumbers). I am extremely satisfied with their job. I will certainly use them again., In general I am alarmed at the cost of repairing things. The garbage disposal (Badger 5) that was installed in my house costs 80 dollars in Amazon and 110 in local Lees plumbing supplies in Carmel. Even assuming that I pay the retail price of 110, fixing something for $115 (I was able to use the Angie's discount of $20). for a 30 minute job seemed too high for me. At the same time, I was alarmed that another plumbing company (which is rated A in Angie's List having close to 2000 ratings) quoted me a figure of $450. Their price is worse than day light robbery. When I asked them to explain their pricing, all they could say is "it is a fixed price for replacing the unit".

Great, friendly, knowledgable service. Price seemed high, but we didn't shop around and the service and promptness to respond to requests made up for it! The serviceman was here doing work within 2 days of my original call.

Eric came and ended up replacing the part because bacteria had infiltrated into our water and was causing the problem. He checked the water quality and the settings on the water softener and iron filter. He was very professional. We called them and they were out two days later. We would definitely use them again.
