Description of Work: They came pretty quick after I called to have my water softener replaced. I agreed to the $800 unit, but they brought a $1200 unit and told me they would give me $200 off on that unit. I questioned them about also replacing the shut off valve in the garage that was not working properly. They said the loose feel to the valve was how they work. Then they went out and shut the water off using the main shutoff on the street. Hmmmm? I called another plumber.

Description of Work: I called Bedell Plumbing September 13th and made an appointment for Friday, Sept 27 at 10am for a quote to install a gas line in my home. They never showed up. At 10:30 I called. I spoke to a male individual who argued with me that he did not have an appointment with me on their calendar. He seemed irritated I bothered him. Never said he was sorry for the mix up or offerered to reshedule. Very rude and unprofessional. I'm sorry I didn't get his name!!

Description of Work: The plastic piece that hold the toilet paper went down the toilet. They came out and got that out for me and saved me a bunch of money.

Description of Work: We talked on the phone after I sent them an e mail. They advised that they would have to charge over $200.00 if they came out over the weekend. They were polite but I chose to go with another plumber who said he would swing by if we needed him but otherwise we should try to make it and he would be on our doorstep first thing Monday am. I chose to use them.

Description of Work: Had two sump pumps go out on a Sunday and they got me squeezed into their schedule late in the day! The plumber Jason, did a great job and was very up front and honest about what needed to be done. He gave me options and didn't try to pressure me into a "bigger" pump. But I ended up going with the bigger one due to living on a water spring with constant water coming into basement.

Description of Work: The gentleman diagnosed and solved my issue over the phone. Extremely helpful especially since he easily could have charged me for a service call. A+

Description of Work: I emailed 4 plumbing companies via "Angie's List" and only received one response. I received another response from a company that did not identify itself. This company never responded to my email.

Description of Work: My outside spigot was broke and was leaking water all over my yard. I call Bedell to see if they could send someone at that night. They weren't able to someone out that night but he gave me some ideas on how to stop they leaking until they could get someone out there. (which worked perfectly) They were able to get someone out the next day. Walt was a very nice man. He looked at a couple plumbing project that I am thinking about doing and gave me some ideas on how much they would cost and what all would need to be done to complete them. He then got right to work on my current problem. He did have to cut a hole in the wall on the inside of my house but they gave me a great deal on the cover and it looks great. Walt thanked me 100 times for pick Bedell. I will use Bedell for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Description of Work: I originally used them back in 2009 when I had a problem with my tub. They came and promptly fixed it. Used them again in 2011 for a kitchen sink problem which again they fixed promptly and at a fair price. Earlier this year I had a dishwasher problem. They sent someone out, that couldn't help me. Was charged around $200 for being told that I needed my dishwasher repaired. I was OK with that but did not appreciate the guy trying to sell me a water softener and a bunch of other gadgets I did not care for. I had a clogged main sewer this past week. Again they came promptly. He got it unclogged after a couple of tries. Total bill was $450. Being a weekend this was quite understandable. However it re-clogged again the next day. They sent someone out with a camera. They told my wife that since they did not resolve the initial problem the camera would be free. They claimed they saw a broken pipe. I got a second opinion and it turned out that it was just a clogged toilet. Ten days later still no problems. Now they have the audacity to call me to ask for $250 for the camera visit. They flat out lied about charging us and now that they cannot have a big fat payday for fixing my so called broken pipe they want $250. No papers signed, no commitments. My advice is beware of first impressions. These guys are crooks ! Find someone else (there are plenty of honest good plumbers out there) unless you want your pocket picked clean by these guys.

Description of Work: I had a totally clogged up kitchen drain on a Saturday morning. I have never had such a quick response to a request for help. Everyone involved was a top notch professional. I can't say enough good things. The drain unclogging was a bit difficult, but quickly fixed. Tips were given to avoid this problem in the future.

Description of Work: We called Bedell to clear clogged kitchen plumbing and fix a drippy faucet in our laundry room. They quickly responded and offered same day service. They arrived at the time they promised in the pre-visit telephone call. It turned out the clogged kitchen pipe problem was actually already with our home remedy by the time the plumber arrived. However, he checked to make sure the clog had really resolved gave us good advice on how to avoid future problems. He quickly fixed the drippy faucet and was on his way.

Description of Work: The pull-out hose of our kitchen faucet had sprung a leak. I ordered a replacement hose from Delta Faucet, the manufacturer. However, when it arrived by mail I could not connect the new hose without it leaking under the sink. I called Bedell and they came out the same day as I called and connected it properly.

Description of Work: Bedell created a new bathroom in the basement which involved solving a lot of complicated plumbing issues like connecting the shower, sink, and toilet to the sewer lines. They dug a large hole in the cement floor to install the proper equipment for the sewer connection so that upon completion it was hidden. It was a task that was very labor intensive. They were readily available to give suggestions and answer any questions that I had about creating this all new room in the house. I was quite grateful for the cooperative service they provided and was pleased with the beautiful results. It was like working with family. They were always attentive to solving and implementing my concerns and needs. They often offered suggestions about things that I would not have thought of, but which enhanced the development and finishing of the room. The results are functional and beautiful.

Description of Work: Bedell came out and replaced my leaking water heater the same day I called them for $650. It has worked well for over a month, so the installation was OK.
