This company was working at my next door neighbor's house all day today. They were insanely loud, but that's just par for the course, I guess. They must have dropped branches from the trees they were trimming into my yard. I really wouldn't have cared about that, but I *guess* I appreciate the fact that they came into my yard (without attempting to notify me, although I was home all day) to remove this debris. What I do NOT appreciate is that they left my gate WIDE OPEN and after two panicky, heart-wrenching hours, my dog finally was THANKFULLY and LUCKILY returned to me. There is literally nothing more upsetting that could happen to me than my dog being lost forever, and I'm shocked that a company like this would be so negligent in a situation they must encounter at least daily. Even if you don't have pets, for your neighbors' sake, please hire literally ANY company but this one.

Response from Angel Oak Tree Care
We are very sorry the consumer was not pleased. The consumer emailed July 27th through Angie's List and unfortunately we do not check Angie's List website everyday. We have now requested that a copy be sent to our regular email so this does not happen again. We did contact the consumer first thing August 2nd and he informed our owner that he had already had someone else do the work because of some kind of emergency and consumer stated that he had to attend to the current issue right away and our owner apologized and the consumer seemed okay - so we are surprised that consumer would just give a report after having spoken with our owner. Even if we had caught this email on Angie's List our company has a three week back log with other clients who also have needs that we respect and therefore it is always first come - first serve - unless of course storm damage occurs and tree is perhaps laying on one's home - in that case of an emergency we would be there immediately. So in essence we have a consumer who sent an email on Saturday the 27th of July and we contacted consumer first thing am August 2nd and everything seemed okay. There was no storm during that period of time. Once again we apologize for not seeing the email and in fact not actually knowing the fact that emails come to the Angie's List webpage. We addressed this issue so it does not happen again. We hope the consumer found someone that he is pleased with and the consumers immediate need was taken care of effectively and to his complete satisfaction.

We sincerely regret that we "dropped the ball" on this one. We deeply apologize for the call falling through the cracks. We honestly didn't do anything purposely because we do like to work and have business. Owner of company will try to make amends with "The Member" and hope she can be forgiving. We are so very sorry. We have a client with the same last name and she too had called so that's actually how mistake occurred I believe. No excuses though - we are very, very sorry and deeply apologize.

Perfect.
Description of Work: They removed 2 large and 3 small trees, then trimmed limbs and shrubbery away from our house. The 2 man crew was prompt, professional and effective. They even moved a bird house from one of the trees slated for removal to another tree.
