+ -1 moreWe found out afterwards that we weren't the only ones that Tarbutton has fooled in the area. He has crossed a lot of people and is now moving his business out of the area. Do not do business with Andy Tarbutton!
Description of Work: Andy Tarbutton deceived us when purchasing our house. There was significant damage that was covered up, and now we have to pay for the repairs. He has not completed the work that was originally part of the purchase, and it has been several months. He does not respond to phone calls or emails. He only responds to lawyers, which quickly adds up the bills. One of his business checks that he wrote us bounced, too.

+ -1 moreHouse/yard not finished for months. Andy reimbursed for cost to move things to basement The worst was yet to come. We gave written notice to extend according the contract but timing wasn't good for them. They wanted to change the contract which was not in the agreement. Within a matter of days, we were evicted. Andy proceeded to list the house and showed it. We had 30 days to move out & had to show at all hours. The cost for this move was over $3,000 and Tarbutton did not reimburse us. We were used for his personal gain. He sold the house we rented to the landlord. The landlord would not have purchased the home, if we were not going to rent for a minimum of one year. (We were supposed to be able to rent for up to 1 year 4 months) Tarbutton wanted to list and sell the house before November 30th so we were evicted. This was extremely deceptive. Description of Work: Andy Tarbutton contacted me regarding having a house for us to rent while we built our home. He represented us by setting up the contact according to our needs which included a 4 month extension with written notice. This was critical and he assured us it would be no problem. He told us we could rent as long as we needed. He didn't tell us the house wasn't finished until after we moved cross country, days before move in. We had no time to find another rental. Youngest child couldn't sleep in his bedroom until the inspector came. The basement was under construction and remained so for months.We couldn't store our belongings, no office and ex. room, kids had no place to play. No grass. The landlord was in our house every day early in the morning. We had no privacy for months. We were responsible to handle all warranty matters with the builder and spent hours of our time. Tarbutton made it appear like he was working for us but he was only concerned about selling the house. We were pawns.
