The gentleman carried the vacuum from my car for me. He cleaned the vacuum free of charge without me asking. He also carried the vacuum back to my car for me so I did not have to do anything. He gave me hints on how to use my vacuum better.

I took my Ricaar vacuume in for repair & he recommended tha I not spend the $200-250 on it. He showed me a new one & I bought it and I absolutely love it. I hated buying a new one, but I am now kind of glad I did.

Went into Ace to purchase a GOOD vacuum cleaner. I described what I was looking for. Employees were very helpful and informative as to different options available. Gave me a price break on accessories. They assembled the vacuum for me. I love my purchase. I feel that they are a company that will be around if any troubles develop. And they are conveniently located!
Description of Work: I was looking for a real vacuum cleaner and not another Hoover that breaks after 3 months. Went to Ace where they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Love my Miele! It was just what I was looking for. Employees couldn't have been nicer.

We brought our vacuum into Ace Vacuum for an estimate after Best Vacuum in Carmel had given us an astronomical quote of $450 to repair our Miele vacuum. Ace asked what Best Vacuum said the problem was. I told them Best Vacuum said it was the electronic unit that was apparently broken. They made a call to Miele directly and said IF that's the problem they could fix our vacuum (including parts, labor and service) for $200!!! I told them that if it was the electronic unit to go ahead and fix it. They gave us a quote within 24 hours to make sure it was the electronic unit...confirming the $200 cost. They fixed it in 4 days (they quoted it would take 7 to 10 days). The cost.....$200 as quoted! I thought Best Vacuum was arrogant in their pricing and behaviour. I would NEVER recommend Best Vacuum...on the flip side, I would DEFINITELY HIGHLY recommend Ace Vacuum. I will nominate Ace as a Super Vendor...they were friendly, professional and highly competent in their knowledge with vacuums. They truly made me feel like they had MY best interest at heart and NOT out to make as much money on me as possible.
Description of Work: Our Miele vacuum cleaner was not working so we went to what we thought was the ONLY Miele authorized dealer on the north side (we had gone their before), Best Vacuum in Carmel. We were told by Best Vacuum that our electronic unit was out on our Miele Red Velvet canister vacuum. They said they could do the repair for $450+. The amount of repair was SO high that we were going to purchase a new vacuum cleaner. We went online and looked at authorized Miele dealers (Best Vacuum was NOT listed) and Ace Vacuum was. We called Ace Vacuum. Ace was shocked at the quote that Best Vacuum gave us and said to bring in our vacuum and they could give us an estimate.

I went to Ace Vacuums to get an estimate on repairing my old Hoover upright vacuum. The gentleman that helped us was very polite. He checked out the vacuum, agreed on our assessment of the problems. Presented us with price and time options. He suggested putting the money toward the purchase of a new vacuum (ours was about 10 years old and we have since adopted a dog, so pet hair is more of an issue). We tried out several models and decided to purchase a mid-range Riccar vacuum. We left to have lunch and returned to pick up the assembled vacuum and 3 free bags.

This is a great shop with professional, friendly, helpful service. I was using a repair shop much closer to my home but was referred by a friend to Ace. During my 2 visits, they have addressed my problem on the spot, replaced the broken part and sent my on my way with barely a wait. While it is a bit of a drive, the service that I have received is worth the extra time. I will continue to visit them and refer others as well.

They told me my vacuum cleaner wasn't worth what it would cost to fix. This was probably true, but I think their quote on what it would cost was a little high. I talked to them a long time about the models they had for sale on the floor and tested several. I felt like I was getting a very pushy sales pitch, and the salesmen did not listen to me when I commented on my opinion of the vacuums. He went on with his speel and didn't even look to see what I was talking about when I questioned how well one was picking up the sand he had spilled on the carpet. Felt like I was treated like I wasn't smart enough to know what I was talking about. I researched the vacuum cleaner brands they showed me, made my choice and bought my Sebo elsewhere.

The electrical cord was beginning to fray and the extension cord that we put the wand on was broken. I love their hours. They are open into the evening Mondays to Fridays which is fine if I am an employee but I am a working individual and have a home day care that the 9 to 5 people I can't get to typically. They are open until 7 o'clock in the evening and all day on Saturday from 10-7 or 10-5. So their hours are ideal as well. Their location is not bad from where I live and I am willing to take that drive. It was done when they told me it would be done and in one day so they had the necessary cords and parts on hand and that is critical for someone like me with a daycare. It is open until 5 or 7 on Saturday. Even somebody being open until 5 on Saturday is great. The place was clean and the front part was spic and span. So that was rather nice too. It is not a dusty old shop or a back room or a workshop that somebody is working in. it is literally a nice store, a nice environment, and nice employees. It was my first experience having such a thing done as quickly as I wanted it done. It was worth the one day and whether the price was too high or too low, I couldn't judge. But it was worth it. They were very punctual. I don't recall seeing any sewing machines in the showroom, maybe carcomms, carpet cleaners, or floor waxers but not sewing machines.
Description of Work: The vacuum cleaner repair company replaced the electrical cord and the hose to the extension of my Dyson vacuum cleaner.

I purchased my Riccar vacuum from Ray at Ace Vacuum. His knowledge and service have always been outstanding. One Saturday the vacuum sucked up a sock. There was smoke and a terrible smell. I thought I have ruined the motor. I called Ray 15 minutes before he closed he waited until I got there. He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it on the spot at no charge! Ray deserves a Super Service Award based on all of my experience in working with him.

I brought in our Hoover Vacuum for a belt replacement. Ray replaced it on the spot, and he refused to take any money from us! On my way out, I told Ray we were looking for something to clean our hard surface (wood & tile) floors. Ray showed me this absolutely fantastic little vacuum named OmniClean. I bought it for my wife for her birthday present (yes - I really did). My wife loves it - this is the greatest thing for hard surface floors ever. Ray is a great and knowledgeable guy - he made us very satisfied long-term customers!

Walked in store, waited a couple of minutes while he helped two other customers. Then I described the problems. He took a look. Went to the back of the store and came back in two minutes with the vacuum operational again.

My puppy chewed off the plug of my new Oreck vacuum. I called Ace to see if it was repairable. I was assured that they could fix it that same day. When I delivered my vacuum to them they said they would have it ready in a short time and they would call. I had errands to do, so I just picked it up after my errands which took about 1 1/2 hours. The vacuum was ready and good as new! The owner, I believe, loaded the vacuum into my car and I was off. Excellent service, quick, and very friendly people. I could not ask for a better experience.

I called to confirm that they would do this type of work and took the cleaner there the same day. Ray was very nice to deal with and explained exactly what was needed. We had to wait for the hose to come in, but I had my cleaner back within a week, working as good as new! One interesting fact: When I picked up my cleaner, I noticed a fair number of other older machines ready for pick up after completed repairs. This is a place I would recommend to my mother. Vacuums can be repaired!

The shop was very well organized, really a showroom for new vacuum cleaners, and the shop area in the back was totally spotless and well-organized. Ray knows tons about all the current makes of vacuums and knew what was probably wrong with mine just by seeing what model it was. He changed the belt, replaced a light bulb and checked the manual latch that switches from floor cleaning to onboard accessories. It was not broken after all, but had gotten out of alignment, so it was not functioning correctly. The whole operation took maybe 15 minutes and he fixed it while I waited so I didn't have to make a second trip. He charged me $2 for the light bulb, nothing for his time, and gave me some great information for when I am ready to shop for a new vacuum. You can bet I'll go to him first. He's the type that you know always keeps his word, can do business on a handshake with no worries.
Description of Work: I was having problems with a 10 year old Hoover upright and thought a piece inside might have been broken. I called to check hours and location and he gave me very good directions. Without them, I might have had trouble locating him, since the area has grown so much recently.

We are very particular buyers, we did our research on vacuums and we visited three other specialty vacuum stores. The experience at Ace Vacuum was a great experience. The price was very good in comparison to other stores and the overall purchasing experience was very enjoyable. Not very often do I feel I am going to get great customer service after about 20 minutes into the experience but I have no doubt Ray & his staff will go beyond the norm when it comes to pleasing the customer. Unlike other places of business that say they will give you good customer service, I truly believe this store is sincere when it comes to doing whatever they can for the customer. My vacuum has a 6 year bumper to bumper warranty, now that's better than most cars. Additionally, the manufacturer will provide me with three free changes of filters over the first 3 years or so, that's almost a $100 worth of filters. Regardless of your budget, I believe everyone should at least take the time to visit Ace Vacuum.

This was a very good experience. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and showed me details about the Riccar vacuum that weren't pointed out at another dealer. I spent a little more than I had planned, but I feel I got a good piece of equipment at a comparable price.
