Bowersock Texturing & Drywall

The reason I contacted Bowersock originally was because of these great reviews...He responded to me quickly and I hired him..Ours was a total kitchen remodel..Even some structural changes..He brought with him a man to give an estimate for new cabinets..He turned out to be a great guy who did amazing work...As the work began and progressed, Kevin was easy to work with and he did fine work..He would even go the extra mile, here and there...He sub-contracted our porcelain tile floor, and paid them from the total of our contract with him...It looked very nice, when completed...The job finished and we had a lovely kitchen..We were very pleased..The job finished in early July, 2016.. So why the low rating?..We are still entangled with Kevin Bowersock..About 2 months after the job finished, the grout in our new floor began to crack and even break out...I informed Kevin, and then contacted the company, Local Hands, who had done the tile..They were very slow to get back to me, but finally did and in November 2016 a man from Local Hands came by and looked at the floor...He absolutely agreed that it needed to be fixed...They finally arrived to re-grout in January 2017...Within 6 weeks the tile began to crack again...I emailed Kevin to let him know of the issue and tried to contact Local Hands..They have never again responded to me... Of course, I had to go back to Kevin with this issue..The tile needed to be fixed and it was ultimately his responsibility...I sent emails back and forth with Kevin between March and August of 2017, with no resolution.. Many emails later, in December 2017, Kevin got back to me and we agreed to address the issue the first of 2018...Many emails later I heard from Kevin in March...No resolution... In April of this year, we had a flooring company come to remove and replace the tile, properly...That, nearly 2 years after the tile was originally done..The cost was $3,252.31...We paid for our tile floor twice...Kevin ignores most emails...He finally called me in July, he acknowledged that the cost was his responsibility and offered a payment monthly, until it was paid..We got the first payment almost immediately and nothing since...And again, he ignores my emails... Kevin does very good work, unless something goes wrong..Then, I wish you good luck..I suppose we will end up in court..

Kevin was referred by my brother-in-law after we had had several false starts with other contractors who either raised their prices everytime they showed up, or would not return calls, or started work and never returned. His original estimate was in line with what we expected based on the reimbursement of our insurance company and he provided a detailed bid, outlining each phase of the work, unlike other contractors who gave a one sentence estimate. We originally wanted to replace plaster ceilings and walls with plaster but finally realized that wallboard would actually be stronger and easier to apply. Kevin removed the remainder of the ceiling and installed all the wallboard in our entry way; installed wallboard and the ceiling in the basement stairwell and covered the cinder block wall in the basement stairwell. His painting crew arrived on on time and quickly performed their job and cleaned up after themselves. After the painting was done Kevin returned, installed a new light fixture in the entry way and a handrail on the basement steps. Outstanding professional, excellent workmanship and communication. We will definitely use him again.

This was a very good experience. He did excellent work at a good price. He was very knowledgeable and professional. His estimate was what he said it would be. He kept in communication before and after the work.

Kevin took down our old undercabinet microwave and installed a ranged hood with duct. We have wanted to install such range hood for a long time but couldnt find a reliable person to do it. We are glad that we found Kevin through angie's list, The whole project went very smoothly. Kevin was nice to work with and very professional, he is also kind enough to give us a discount. I think we found our on going handy man from now on.

They are professional, clean cut, uniformed, are quality people, had shoe covers, and the whole nine yards. They gave a good impression and they always clean up after their work.

Went just as he described. . One visit to survey job, one to repair and replace drywall, one to paint. What could be sweeter?

The overall project came in at under two thousand dollars. They came in with the best estimate for the work. They were the most cost effective. They were prompt and on time. They took the time to clean up after themselves. They did good work. I had some trouble with the subcontractor throughout the project. They did not follow through with some things.

Mr. Bowersock was very easy to work with. He was very prompt in his estimate and finished the work much earlier than expected.

We weren't overly impressed, but weren't completely turned off. We were looking to fix the ceiling, and his solution was (rather than to repair the plaster) to cover it with drywall. The estimate was a little high, and it took him way too long to get the estimate to us.

I would, and have, recommended them to others.

We were told by several friends that the entire kitchen ceiling would need to be replaced because we would never be able to match the knocked down textured ceiling. Kevin told us we would need to prime the repaired spots and paint the entire kitchen ceiling. After Kevin completed the repair we primed the repaired ceiling and painted the entire kitchen ceiling and you can't find the repaired places. He was prompt, professional and saved us a lot of money.

Kevin did an excellent job matching a current texturing pattern. He was prompt in getting us scheduled. When he came to our house to do the job, he covered everything and was very neat and respectful of our house.

Kevin and his crew did a great job. They were able to schedule us in quickly, did the job professionally, and gave us a lower quote than other companies. He used subs to hang the drywall (they did a great job) and Kevin and his nephew did the finish work. Kevin was very professional and very friendly. He even called on the days he couldn't come by to make sure everything was going well.

We had three estimates for the work and Kevin Bowersock was the most knowledgeable and professional. The quote was very reasonable and less than the other estimates we received. From start to finish, from matching the texturing to the ceiling to the clean up after he was done was outstanding. He took his time in what he was doing and he exceeded our expectations.

He did a superb job of matching the texture on the repair to the existing ceiling. You really cannot tell the ceiling has a repair in it. He even let me take pictures each step of the process so I could show my husband who was out of town that day, how the process went. We would absolutely hire him again.

We needed drywall repaired from a stand-in shower that was removed in master bath. Kevin was able to give us an estimate through pictures emailed to him. Estimate was $350 dollars cheaper than others we received. He showed up on time and did a wonderful job. Kevin does all in home repairs and I definitely plan to use him again in the future.
