+ -1 moreAVA told us they would complete the job in six weeks. They still have not finished the job and it has been four months. When we call Mitch, he tells us he will be here on a certain day, but then never shows up. On top of that, the work was of poor quality: The tile was laid unevenly and the grout is discolored I think due to several people mixing it and laying in on different days. One of the tile walls in the shower was laid so uneven by Brian (Mitch's right hand guy) that even Mitch had to agree that it had to be ripped out and redone. Our jacuzzi tub and ALL the sinks leaked. The tub leaked so bad that the first time we filled it, water was flowing out of the ceiling in the room below causing damage. They caused damage to our sink cabinets, and I could go on. DO NOT USE AVA unless you want to pay more than expected, get poor quality work and want the job to take much longer than expected or not get completed. We're just sick about this and don't want anyone else to go through it!
Description of Work: We hired AVA remodeling group, owner Mircea Taflan (he goes by Mitch) to remodel our master bathroom. The goal was to take a very small bathroom containing a shower and toilet (sink was outside in the bedroom) and convert to a room with a toilet and sink only. Then, the walk-in closet next to the small bathroom was to have a shower, jacuzzi tub and two sinks added. AVA did not finish the job and we haven't seen them or heard from them in weeks. If we call Mitch, he will tell us he'll be here on a certain day but does not show up. We've spent a lot of money only to have a unfinished bathroom after four months! We paid a portion ($7000) of the total amount up front, but we had to buy all our own materials (shower, sinks, toilet, tile, etc) other than the plumbing and wood.
