It was excellent and the price was good.

I did not realize how busy tree professionals are and procrastinated this project a little too long. We needed a tree removed by the end of July to make room for a fence, and Jess bent over backwards to meet my deadline. I really appreciated it. The tree was growing through the neighbor's fence, and Jess worked hard to make sure that we and the neighbor were satisfied with his work. He and his worker were also cheerful about taking out a thorny bush for us, even though it must have been painful. I had already tried to remove it myself and got so scratched up I decided to pay to have it done. Thank you again! We have lots of trees in our small yard, and we'll be calling again when we need to have them trimmed.

Two men worked with ropes to be able to lower the large tree over the steps and cut the trunk in large pieces. They took it step by step as the work progressed. Mechanical equipment was not able to access the site of the tree, such as a cherry picker. The other work was accomplished by 2 or 3 men. About 3 visits were required to do the total package, including hauling away the leftover debris. The only suggestion would be to keep the customer updated as to dates and times. Never quite sure when they would arrive and, with a truck mechanical problem, work was delayed for several days without notice.

Jess was FANTASTIC! We had a large (18? + diameter) forked ash tree which split overnight during a storm; it was leaning against another tree and was a potential safety hazard. I called Thursday afternoon to ask for a quote on removal. Jess came out later that afternoon and provided a quote for removal of the tree and hauling associated debris. We called Jess Thursday evening to ask him to perform the work. Within 24 hours the tree was gone. The pricing from Woodland Tree & Landscape was equivalent to another quote we received for removal/hauling. We decided to go with this company because they could start next day. Jess did a great job with removal and cleanup ? there was no evidence (other than the tree stump) that any work had been done. We were thrilled with both the results and the speed of the process. In addition, Jess removed/hauled a small, dead tree (2.5? diameter) from our front yard at no additional cost! We will use Woodland Tree & Landscape for future any future tree and brush removal needs.

Very professional. Jess showed up within a couple of days and did the majority of the work. Due to the rainy April, it took some time to complete the job, but I never felt like I need to call the company back; I trusted that they would be back when the weather cleared. The other local contractor wanted nearly twice as much and could not get to the job for 30 days! When I need yard work done, I will definitely call them back. I don't need someone with a huge fleet of trucks or a large advertising budget. Jess was very knowledgable and gave great advice on the care and maintenance of my trees, also.

Made contact via Angie's List and they were quick to stop by within a couple of days to give me a quote. They looked at the tree I wanted removed and others that needed to be trimmed. He wrote up a quote and I agreed to give him the business. They put me on the schedule and in less than 2 weeks came and did all the work.

Cutting down the tree was completed as we discussed. They left the stump as I requested and made sure the cut was level,so I an add a planter this spring. They arrived on time . I had the chance to watch the process of cutting down the tree. Wild Bill was the one to climb the tree and did a great job landing the limbs safely and without any damage to gutters or sidewalks!! We were pleased with their expertise in taking the tree down. They removed all the debris, including lots of gum ball seeds from the tree. Great job!!

Very good. He showed right when he said he would and was finished early. There was no mess at all in the yard when he finished.

Excellent experience. Jess dropped a tree in my yard and ground 3 stumps. In addition, he removed three more stumps from my neighbor's yards. Including their work in this review as we received an estimate for the work as a whole and they are not Angie's List members. He came out when he said he would, did the work he said he would, and the price remained the same throughout the process. Can't ask for much more than that!

Nothing but high marks for Woodland Tree Service. Although not the lowest contractor estimate, I felt Jess Ray, owner, more than earned my business by throughly explaining what the job would entail, the proceedures he would employ and the cost with several options to fit my budget. He came out the same day I called him for the initial estimate. After two other estimates by other companies, I called Jess to inform him of my decision and to schedule a day to do the work. They cut down two trees, removed the stump in the front yard, and cleaned everything up before he walked me around to check out the job. While he was here, he gave an estimate to my neighbor for some tree work and did the work after he was done with me. I will use again in the future. Thanks to Jess and his men. .

Other than a weeks' delay due to rainy weather there were no problems, everything went very well.

Overall experience was great. I called and Jess returned my call on the same day. We set an appointment for him to come by the house - he provided me an estimate on the spot. On the day that he was to perform the work, he called ahead of time and even showed up a little early. He pruned several large branches from the silver maple tree as we had previously discussed. They cleaned up all the tree debris - it looked like they were never there.

I called the owner Jess and he answered right away. I told him I was checking with a few places to get a ballpark on what it may cost to take down and remove the trees. I understand it may not be 100% accurate without seeing the site, but I gave a description and he gave me an estimate. I checked with a few neighbors prior and his quote seemed consistent with theirs. He was very informative on what may have caused the trees to die and said to call him back with any other questions in the future. I am not having the work done yet, but he will be the first person I call when I have this done.

Excellent service. Mr. Ray came out next day to give an estimate, which was competitive, and was able to come back two days later (Thanksgiving intervened) to fell the tree. No one else could get to it that soon. One of his competitors said he would cut the tree all the way to the ground (for nearly the same price submitted by Mr. Ray), whereas Mr. Ray offered only to take it down to about 8 feet above ground (the tree was in an out-of-the-way location). When I asked Mr. Ray if he'd take it down completely for the quoted price, he agreed to do so. Day of the take-down the crew was prompt and efficient, putting the wood exactly where I'd asked, and hauling away the small branches and stuff. Overall, I'm entirely pleased with Woodland, and would use them again.

When I spoke with the company rep. he stated that both trees needed to be trimmed and the crabapple would also need some treatment in the Spring. During our discussion, I noted, several times, that I did NOT want the lower branches of the River Birch to be trimmed since it would provide a little shade next year (lost an Ash tree that used to shelter our home from the western sun...this made my instructions even more critical). There were several days that were scheduled and then cancelled due to inclement weather. I was very surprised to return home on 10-26-11 and discover that both trees had been trimmed...the River Birch now resembles a toothpick with leaves at the very top...no lower branches. When I sent the check to the company, I noted that I was most unhappy with the fact that they had trimmed the River Brich contrary to my instructions. and wanted to know how they planned to "make it right". I have waited several weeks to give the company the opportunity to at least call and talk with me about the problem before submitting my report to you. I have heard absolutely nothing!!

Jesse and his crew came out and remove a tree that fell during a storm. He also fixed the neighbors fence that was damaged due to the fallen tree. We also had a dead pine tree removed by him. Great service! Came out the day I called to give an estimate and work was done the very next day. Cleaned up the whole yard. They had heavy equipment and didnt damage the lawn or anything. Even had suggestions on the landscaping. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

This company did very careful and neat work. They were prompt getting here and cleaned up the area very well. I will call them whenever I need good tree work.

The company was quick to provide an estimate. Work was delayed due to weather which was legitimate but was completed in a reasonable time. The person was friendly, professional, did a good job and I will use them again.

From the first phone call to the day he finished Jeff was professional, fair, reasonablep and thorough. His work was awesome to watch. He is careful to respect your property and always had a safety first attitude. He cut both trees down and came back and did the stump grinding on time the day he promised. My neighbors were so impressed with him they hired him on the spot to do their tree. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Jeff a very conscientious estimator reflecting knowledge of trees and a sensitivity to nurturing them. His estimate was less-detailed than the other four. Also, because he had fewer employees, it was going to take two days to complete. It was tempting to us to complete the task in one day.

Jess always does a great job. We have been using him for over 10 years. His prices are reasonable and he is careful to clean up after being on your property. He is not a large operation so you may need to give him a week to get to you but the price and quality of work make it worthwhile

Jes from Woodland did a very good job, they cleaned up after them and removed all of the branches and leaves that came down with the tree. There was a small issue with the conduit for the powerline (it was held up by a drywall screw), but they fixed the support bracket. The tree was very close to the house with the cable and powerlines on either side of the tree, but they took it down without issue.
