Precision Landscaping LLC

Our experience with John and Precision Landscaping for our project last fall was extremely disappointing. We hired Precision to help fix an issue with the paver border on our patio. It had been originally installed incorrectly by another company and we were unable to keep the polymeric sand from washing out. John met with us and assured us they could address the problem and we paid a larger amount to go with Precision because we trusted they could fix it. A couple weeks later they came out and the quality of the work was extremely poor. The edging was poorly laid and they did not clean out any of the previous sand. Within a month we had grass growing through all the joints and the sand had washed out in the same places it had when we called them initially. We called them to come out and fix it twice and all they did was stop by for 15 minutes and dump more sand on it which, no surprise, just washed out again. Not impressed with their follow up once we reported issues either. Flash forward to today and we are in the same position we were before calling Precision but out several hundred dollars and have to look to have someone else try to fix it since we have given up with Precision.

It went quite well the patio looks great. John worked with me throughout the whole process as I changed the design the materials, etc. They had already started when I decided to run a gas line to the firepit they said not problem and put the piping in so the plumbers could install the gas line. We had one major issue that we ultimately decided to agree to not agree on. That was our steps out of the house. The top landing on the steps does not go past the dog door like the concrete steps being replaced were and my 11-lb and 21-lb dogs have problems getting in and out the door.

Fair competitive price and excellent work. I originally noticed that precision landscaping, LLC was doing work for one of my neighbors. I had injured my back at the beginning of summer and asked if they could take care of my lawn until I was able to cut my grass again. Troy stopped what he was doing came over gave me an estimate and cut my grass after he finished with the neighbors. Troy does excellent work much better than myself :-). There were a few times in the summer where the yard did not need cutting and Try recommended that I wait until next week instead of just cutting it to charge me money. I would highly recommend this company to do the lawn mowing and or landscaping.

IT WENT BAD! Precision Landscaping never did the work, and was quite unresponsive. Once we agreed on the work to be done, and set service completion window Precision Landscaping became unresponsive. I've now had two service windows missed by Precision Landscaping and currently have an email correspondence out to them that has been unanswered. If you can't do the job be honest about it, otherwise everyone's time is being wasted. I don't appreciate Precision Landscaping devaluing me as consumer and devaluing my time.

They did an excellent job, my yard looks like a golf course. They did great service, and helped me out on the fly due to my back being injured. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent - initially delayed due to weather but they called and rescheduled and then showed up on the new date promised and did a great job - including cutting down the ornamental grasses.

Unfortunately I was not in town when they performed the services due to an emergency. I did however come back to exactly what I had asked for. I will be getting an estimate from them to do some additional work.

It didn’t go well. They took longer than they said they would and then they gave me a very unprofessional plan. It was just kind of subpar. They could have provided a more professional and printable plan, like, PDF, that wasn’t handwritten and hand-written. They were obviously trying to sell their services, which is great, but they were pretty insistent on using specific foundation blocks and landscaping stones; I didn’t like their dedication to a specific company that I didn’t necessarily want to go to. There was no alternative plan. They promised a revision, which they did not give. Their price was great for the deal, but for the actual quote was not good.

Weren't satisfied with design

We ended the meeting with the agreement that we'll get a quote and the drawings in a few days. We didn't get any information until 12 days later. The pictures looks hand drawn and something I could do. We basically paid for them to itemize out our options. I had higher expectations then what we received.

We purchased the design Big Deal to look into installing a paver patio in our backyard. John from Precision was in contact within a matter of days, and came out that same week to provide a consultation on the design. He was very responsive and knowledgeable. A few days later we received the estimate and proposed plan. We were very happy with the proposed design, but ultimately decided not to have the patio installed due to the price ( a little more than expected). If we decide to move forward, ,we would definitely work with Precision.

Based on the Angie's List recommendation I call Precision Landscaping to give me a cost estimate for a total redesign of my newly purchased home. Joe came out, we walked around the property and discussed options for the landscape design. At that point Joe seemed excited and said he would have an estimate to me within a couple of days. Never heard from him again. No phone call or e-mail saying he was not interested or too busy. This was a total waste of my time, time I could have used to hire someone else. With a new home I have many other things to do without spending time on someone that does not have the courtesy to respond.

John nd team do a great job. It always looks nice when they are done.

Amazing! The owners are extremely nice, flexible, professional, and knowledgable. I bought the Big Deal for them to come and design my backyard. The designed and created a perfect outdoor living space for my family. I have a pretty small backyard, and they made it look amazing! I definately recommend and encourage my neighbors to use them!

They were very professional and the plan was well executed.

We waited a few days to receive the estimate and never did so we called and they said their computer system was down. They said they'd follow up in a few days but it's been well over a week and we haven't heard anything. There has been no communication. Therefore we've decided to work with another company.

They brought out 4 or 5 men to remove all our leaves-believe me it is a HUGE job. I cannot tell you how many large tarps full of leaves were taken out from our front and side yard, but at least 20 large loads. We also had 6 or 8 globe boxwoods and lilac bushes that did not come back from the bad winter of last year. This is our third time using them. They are punctual and hard working. We are very satisfied and will use them again for all our leaves! Our yard looked very well kept after they were done.

It turned out okay. He was pretty convinced to the design but he missed some follow through. The design was good but we didn't use him for the implementation.

They gave us a free design. We didn’t use them, but the interaction was good. They were professional over the phone and in person at our home.

This is the second time I've used Precision Landscaping for a hardscape project. For the most recent project, I had already excavated a 25 ft path linking two sidewalks. I didn't have time (or the skills) to finish the rest of the project and I would have needed to rent all kinds of tools and equipment. I called up John and he was out for a quote later that day since they were working nearby. He got me scheduled within a week and the crew knocked out the project in a day. To finish the project, they installed a drain from my gutter, underneath the path and dug a trench into the lawn with an overflow valve. They added the gravel/mix to the path, then leveling sand and finally the pavers for a curved 25 foot path. The path looks great and the price was right.

We did not use them. We weren't happy with them. We just got the evaluation and he emailed us a plan which didn't look any better than what we already had. I just didn't care for the plan they came up with. He really didn't work hard on it. He was a very nice person. I would probably not use them again.

Patio was started and completed in about a week and a half. The total cost was exactly what was estimated. The patio looks great, and we've received compliments already. We would definitely recommend this business.

The company came out to take a look at what I was wanting done. The guy who came out was really nice and had some good ideas. He took some measurements for a schematic drawing on the back yard. I had no problem contacting the company initially and scheduling them out. I just never received the plan for the project and I am really just hoping to someday receiving the plans.

I purchased this as an Angie's List Big Deal as a gift for my neighbor, who was looking to do some major landscaping in her backyard. Precision Landscaping responded pretty quickly and came out when scheduled. Unfortunately, several months went by before the plan was actually sent to my neighbor. She contacted Precision Landscaping at least once. I finally contacted them through Angie's List and once I did, the plan was sent to my neighbor and my money was refunded.

Precision Landscaping did a great job and their prices are competitive. They got a little off schedule due to weather - we needed the patio installed by 4th of July and they ended up getting it installed in one day on July 3rd. I highly recommend them!
