They did everything they said they were going to do. They came back immediately and finished the issues I had about the installation. An A would also go toward the product they sold me. I have had NO problems with it and it pays me back every month. It has been about 6 years since I had the unit installed and every year we call them and have them do the other things. Their service is complete. They come in and they check the flame, they use the sniffer and they check for gas leaks all around. They also go around and check the freon in the system and clean the screens off around the unit outside. When you call them you're going to get what they say they're going to give you or its better than you expected. I've been very very pleased with them.
Description of Work: I had some excellent service from a group out in the Brownsburg area that did air conditioning and they did a great job. Everything was on budget and turned out quite well. Its called Mowery's. They were very, very good. They were honest. They screwed up on one part and went right back and fixed it immediately. I wanted the air conditioner raised up off the ground four inches and in the original installation they didn't do it. They came back in and cut everything loose and recharged the system and raised it the four inches with no extra charge or anything. The system they put in has saved me over $100.00 a month over what I was spending before. The system paid for itself in a little over a year. When I've had them back to do something, I have a service contract with them and they thoroughly check out everything. They don't just half do everything. They really check the system out and I've been very very pleased with them. They're absolutely honest.

The interaction with everyone at the company was very positive. The only reason we did not go with Mowery was because of price.
Description of Work: The furnace went out. We called Mowery for the service call to determine the problem. The technician came out the same day he was called. The technician was very prompt, neat and professional. It was determined that a new furnace was needed. Chip, the owner, came out the same day to present background on the company and provide an estimate. The company is an Angie's List Super Service Award Winner and has is complaint free with the BBB. We were very impressed by Chip but since we were talking about spending a significant amount of money we felt obligated to get at least one other estimate. We had decided that if the estimate provided by Chip was within several hundred dollars of the 2nd estimate we would go with Mowery because of our initial positive contact with the company. The 2nd estimate however was about $1,000 less than Mowery so we went with the other company.

He took the bottom part off, climbed in, messed around, got out, told me it was falling apart. My furnace was working fine before hand and I've never had anyone that cleaned it do that before. He took a paint brush and brushed wires, brushed the stuff to the side.
Description of Work: I think the guy messed up my furnace a little bit. I had him out to clean it.

THIS REPORT IS THE FIRST WE HAD HEARD ABOUT THIS CUSTOMER’S DISSATISFACTION WITH THE FURNACE CLEANING WE PROVIDED. THIS CUSTOMER HAS HAD MID-WEST OUT TO PERFORM HER ANNUAL MAINTENANCE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. ON 11/7/08 OUR TECHNICIAN PERFORMED A CLEANING ON THIS CUSTOMER’S 1993 FURNACE. UPON INSPECTION HE FOUND A PART THAT HAD CAME OFF THE HEAT EXCHANGER IN THE FURNACE. THE HEAT EXCHANGER FUNCTIONS TO TRANSFER HEAT AS EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE, BUT IF DAMAGED CAN POTENTIALLY LEAK CO, A DANGEROUS GAS. IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHERE THE PART HAD BROKEN OFF, THE TECHNICIAN HAD TO REMOVE THE MOTOR SO HE COULD LOOK UP INSIDE THE SYSTEM. PERFORMING THIS TYPE OF DETAILED INSPECTION IS NOT USUALLY COVERED ON BASIC CLEANING. AFTER INSPECTING THE HEAT EXCHANGER THE TECHNICIAN TOOK A LEAK DETECTOR TO DETERMINE IF THERE WAS ANY CO LEAKING AND DID RECEIVE A POSITIVE RESPONSE. THE CUSTOMER WAS INFORMED OF THE LEAK, AND WAS OFFERED OPTIONS OF REPAIRING AND REPLACING THE FURNACE. THE CUSTOMER DECLINED. ONCE WE LEARNED OF HER DISSATISFACTION, AND SINCE THE SHE FELT OUR TECHNICIAN, IN HER WORDS, MIGHT HAVE “MESSED” UP HER FURNACE. WE OFFERED TO HAVE OUR SERVICE MANAGER, WHO HAS OVER 25 YEARS EXPERIENCE, COME OUT TO INSPECT THE FURNACE AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS FINE AT NO COST TO HER. THE CUSTOMER DECLINED. SINCE WE COULD NOT SEEM PROVIDE THIS CUSTOMER WITH ANY SERVICE THAT WOULD SATISFY HER WE OFFERED TO REFUND HER THE $69.95 FOR THE CLEANING. THE CUSTOMER ACCEPTED.

The technician(Ron)showed up and went about servicing the furnaces. He has been here before and did a good job. He checked everything, replaced and cleaned everything, and went on his way. He is very professional and courteous.
Description of Work: Serviced two heating oil furnaces for the season. One of which was not working. Changed the oil filters, and nozzles, and tuned both up. Blowers were also checked and both units were cycled.

The advertisement in Angie's List and on their website, said they do a free estimate. When they got here they said there was an 80 dollar travel fee and that if we chose them they would refund us. We didn't go with them, they cashed our check, and we are out that money. We didn't follow up with it, just used it as a learning experience.

I'm very satisfied with the service. He put on booties before entering the house and explained how the gas works for the fireplace (which I hadn't known); and he wasn't condescending with his explanation. I ended up signing on for annual service for the furnace and AC (which I needed anyway) based on his professionalism and explanations; he didn't push me to sign up. The final cost was more than the original estimate, but only because of the service agreement.
Description of Work: I couldn't get my gas fireplace pilot to relight after turning the gas off for the Summer, so I called them and someone came out to look at the fireplace. He checked it, turned everything back on, and got the fireplace to light.

We called Mowery after trying another plumber who was not able to figure out what was happening to our water pressure and hot water. The service person who responded was Jim, and he did an very good job determining what the issue was. He fixed the problem and he was very helpful explaining what had happened and what he was fixing.

We had to have them come out on the 4th of July because our AC went and the usual company we are contracted with could not get someone out. They came out that same day and we were wonderful and very reasonable, they are one of the companies that advertise 24/7 service and actually do it and we switched our contract to them.

They have done a minor amount of work for us before. We called them back to get this estimate. They were on time and explained what they thought needed to be done. We decided to get two other estimates and ultimately went with one of the other companies based on what equipment we liked best, price and extras the other company through in. They were about $500 more without the extras.

Well, the service person, was very nice and very helpful. But, it took almost a week to get fixed. We had some disagreements with the company because our warranty came up two days after. I ended up talking to the owner, it took a lot of work, but I got the part free. The actual person that came was very good. We thought we had a problem so we called him and he helped us. He then called back to make sure we were okay. We were a long time customer with this company, but we aren't sure if we are going to use them again. 10/06/2010. The company is now under new ownership. They have since been providing good service.

WE ALWAYS MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT TO GIVE OUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS PRIORITY SERVICE. AS FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIR. THIS IS SET BY THE MANUFACTURER NOT THE CONTRACTOR. THIS UNIT HAD A 5 YEAR PARTS WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT WARRANTY THE PART BECAUSE IT WAS PAST THE WARRANTY PERIOD. IN ORDER TO PROVIDE ABOVE AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE, AT OUR EXPENSE WE COVERED THE COST OF THE PART. It was one of the hottest days, and my AC broke. We called them and they were here within an hour and a half. He was very professional and friendly. He gave us a great estimate. He found the problem right away and it was a quick fix. They are really good about it. They were right on top of my issue.
Description of Work: They fixed my air conditioner. A breaker in the unit fried out and he put a no service breaker in so it wouldn't break anymore.

I USE THEIR SERVICES FOR ALL MY PLUMBING, HEATING, AND COOLING NEEDS. I HAVE A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THEM AND THAT GIVES ME A LITTLE BREAK ON THE COST AND PRIORITY. CHIP IS THE OWNER AND ALL HIM EMPLOYEES LIKE HIM.
