Description of Work: I wanted new wiring from the house to the shed. Also, I wanted a switch repacked in the bathroom and garage, and new lightings in the kitchen.

We mentioned we had some other projects we wanted to do around the house and he was more than happy to do it for us. They were fast, friendly, and efficient. They were willing to assist us with other needs that came about after they arrived.

+ -1 moreJuly 1, Dave Monroe and his assistant electrician came the same day I requested their services. My request was to install a 3-prong receptacle near the washers receptacle. They hooked the existent 3-prong (further away from the washer receptacle) to the electric panel, and kindly enough to move the washer and dryer for me. Unfortunately, the location of the washer dryer was not convenient for me. In addition, the dryer did not run well. I contacted Dave the following week. It took a while for him to come back. Last Monday July 25, Dave came back and fixed the problem with no charge. He also hooked a vent duct tentatively used until washer and dryer are moved to the desired locations. As a result, the dryer runs back well without retaining moisture in the lint collector and in the clothes. This proves that the dryer sensor is working good, and that the cause of the problem could be in the venting duct that a previous contractor installed. I am going to check out duct hood opening, dryer vent hood, duct connection/sealing. Thanks to his extra help, I have narrowed down the possible cause of the dryer problem. I also contacted Chuck with C & D Home Improvement, and he will come next week for estimate. Thank you Dave that you followed what I asked even you might have thought it?s such a tedious job!

+ 1 moreDavid arrived exactly when promised and did all of the work per his estimate. A few items were delayed while I searched for the fixtures I wanted, but as soon as they were here, he came and placed them.
Description of Work: Installed two new ceiling fan/lights in upstairs bedrooms that did not have fixtures, and connected them to the wall switches that had been attached to wall outlets. Repaired bathroom light/fan, and cleaned out insulation that had fallen into it when previously installed. Replaced light in shower stall with energy efficient, bright fixture.

I had checked with other companies to see what the cost would be and this company was a real deal. I would definitely use this company again. I also liked that he gave me some tips for what to do if the surge got tripped. He also let me know what I could do if it needed to be replaced.

He is installing all the light fixtures, outlets, switches and breakers. After I put up drywall and have everything painted, Dave is coming back to finish out all the trim work.
Description of Work: I am a Realtor/Broker and have previously recommended Dave many times to my clients for electrical repairs/updates that we have come across during home inspections. Not only is Dave extremely thorough, but he completes the jobs very quickly and at a fair cost. I am currently in the process of finishing my own basement and have hired Dave to handle all of my electrical work projects.

I explained that we had a ground line for the water heater in the same room and wanted to know if he could piggy back the csst ground to it. He advised that it could be done and we scheduled the job over the phone. He arrived as scheduled and had actually studied up on the job so that he knew exactly what needed to be done and had the parts with him. We were very satisfied with his services and will call him again in the future.

Description of Work: I conacted this provider as a result of a Big Deal advertising $129 for 10 Outlets and $189 for whole house surge protection. I contacted them and spoke with a man who I assume may have been the owner. I told him that I had experienced a loss of power to several outlets in my home including the outlet which my freezer had been plugged into. I also told him that I needed to have some lighting switced out. He told me that he could do all of the work and he told me that the outlet issue sounded like a simple fix. He even spoke with me about fixing the misrepair to my garbage disposal so that it once again would turn on after the plumber who replaced it couldn't get the wiring together correctly. He told me that he was fairly busy that week but that he would give me a call back by the middle of the next week; to date I have heard nothing. I think that many of the contractors who agree to advertising Big Deals really need to rethink their decisions. If you don't have the manpower or the time to be able to respond to the potential masses of people who contact you, at least have the respect to tell a potential customer that you won't be able to get back to them for some time and then contact Angies List to take down the deal. I would rather have someone be honest and tell me that they are overwhelmed with responses and can't assist me than to tell me that they will call back to schedule a time and they don't follow through. While I can't speak to the quality of work for obvious reasons, I can say that professionalism and responsiveness failed in this instance.

The fixtures look wonderful, he also added a ceiling medallion to the ceiling fixture. My painter was so impressed by his professionalism, she called me a few weeks later to ask for his name! Arrived on time, no complaints.

I had a very major project behind my house that concluded with the installation of a paver patio. + -1 moreWe have use this company when we first moved into our new house about 3-4 months ago. At that time David put a new panel in and new circuits and cleaned up some dangerous wiring. He also put in 220 Dryer and converted many of the old outlets to new ones. He put in a outside box as well. Because of such a great job then we called him to add a new 220 electric stove outlet and put in 2 more dedicated circuits and finish coverting the old outlets to new ones. During all this today an emergency arose due to the high winds and a large antenna tower apparently had weak spots and wind blew it over and fell on the power line and took our power out. While waiting on the power company to arrive, David checked the meter and found it had not been damaged. He then ran to buy more wire and rewired the meter to tie in with what the electric company would have to do to get our power line back up. He stayed until the job was done. David is the only one in his business and he is like having a personal electrician. Any electrical needs I have, I never hesitate in calling him. He is great and very professional and does not try to sell you things you don't need and a person I really trust to do our wiring jobs. I feel very safe with all his work and do not worry about possible electrical fires in future. His prices are spot on. He is very busy but always makes contact immediately and sets up a time when he can be there and always has been ontime. You won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: Adding electric range circuit and outlet, 2 other dedicated circuits and outlets and converted old outlets to 3 prong. Plus emergency situation arose due to weather and large antenna tower toppled and took out our power line.
