appx 5/27 i contacted burkharts to confirm the basement floor was going to be torn up wed 6/4. the lady at the office said a message would be given to bobby (the plumber). 2 days later i confirmed thru the office that the message had been passed on. it was agreed it best to be at the house wed. or thur (june 4 or 5) to fix the drain while the floor was opened up. this information was passed on to bobby over a week in advance of the floor being opened up. monday 6/2 i contacted the office to verify if all was ok with thier schedule. was told the message was passed on to bobby and thats all she knew. contacted the office the morning of 6/4 wanting to know if the plumbers were coming today. was told by the office she had no idea because bobby was already gone for the morning. office said they would leave a message for bobby to call me. at this time i got bobbyand quot;s cell phone #. called it leaving a message for bobby to call me. thursday i called bobby 3 times on his cell phone trying to get some kind of answer. friday morning 6/6 bobby called asking me what kind of work did i need done and and he could possibly do it saturday morning. i informed bobby the contractor was pouring concrete friday and it would have to be done later. after considering the phone call i called bobby back informing him, although their quality of work was excellent, due to their total disconcern for the customer and absolute lack of communication, the burkharts will never work on my property again. bobbyand quot;s response: i didnand quot;t get home until after 9:00 last night. i told him there was no excuse why he or his office could not have take a minute and given me a call sometime this whole week.

Bill Burkhart (the owner) coordinated with me to have the furnace serviced at a property in Brookville, Ind. since we are out of town. The Kalamazoo furnace needed cleaning of the burner, oiling of the fan motor and checking of the exhaust flue since that had not been done since 2008. I know that a service call on a furnace is rather routine but Bill personally called me back to schedule the service call next time I was in town. He was there promptly at the agreed time. That is the great thing with his company - they are flexible in scheduling the work to be done around the customer's availability. All the plumbing and heating work at this property has been, is and will be in the future done by Burkhart's.

I have used them for years. I called in this morning, and they were here an hour later. I kind of knew them when I was a kid, and I'm 50 years old now. The boys all grew up doing heating, A/C, and plumbing. When you call them anytime, they are there.

They do a good job and they are very reasonable. We have used them for years. We would continue to use them in the future.
