Affordable Concrete

Concrete work was acceptable; however, when they said they were finished with the job, neither the handrail, nor the front porch columns were reinstalled. I texted Ron that he needed to finish up. Ron stated he did not include in his quote to reinstall the handrail nor the columns. They did go back and reinstall the handrail, but not the columns. Ron stated columns were rotten and they are not. They do need a new coat of paint, but far from rotten. Who quotes a job and does not include putting things back the way they were. Now I need to hire a contractor to reinstall the front porch posts. Dwelling has temporary 2x4 support holding up the porch which could get kicked out and fail at any time - going on 3 weeks now. .Very dissatisfied. Don't use.

After contacting three contractors for estimates to build an aggregate concrete sidewalk, I decided to go with Affordable Concrete, 210 Dusty RD, Boonville, IN. One factor I considered was that Affordable was building a driveway for one of the new John Mattingly homes being built in my subdivision and I was able to see their completed work. Affordable visited my home on Friday March 27, 2015 to get information in order to give me an estimate. Almost a month later, and only after I called, I was given a quote for the work. I was told that they were scheduling jobs several weeks out, but a 10% down payment ($220.00) would get me on the list. On Wednesday April 22, I provided the down payment. On May 26, June 1, and June 3 I left voice messages inquiring about the status of my installation. On June 4, I sent an email inquiry in which Ron Knirs responded (surprisingly quick), stating that he was sorry about the no return calls, and that he would call me. He also stated that I was scheduled the first week of July. Ron Knirs did not call me? and Affordable did not show up the first week of July as promised. I sent an email on Monday July 13 and left a voice message on Thursday July 16 attempting to get a status on my sidewalk installation. Affordable Concrete did not respond to either message. I sent an email on Monday July 20 asking for a refund of my $220.00 down payment. To date I have not received any response nor have I received a refund. I will update this review when I receive my refund.
