 + 0 moreJeff came out to the house to look at the vanity and took it with him that day. We agreed that he would also install a new mirror. He gave me an estimate and indicated that if he could not repair the existing sliders he would have to build new ones but would call with a revised estimate. The original sliders could be repaired so there was no revised estimate. Three weeks later the piece was repaired and delivered. I was impressed with his knowledge of antique furniture and his appreciation for the piece. I was thrilled that the work did not take more than 3 weeks. When he delivered the piece, he reassembled the pieces and cleaned up the wood.
Description of Work: Repaired the drawer sliders in antique vanity and replaced the mirror.

 + -1 moreAll together I liked him and his work since the finished product was great and the chairs matched the table perfectly, and I would go back to him and recommend him to others
Description of Work: We have an antique fold down table (not sure what it's called that came from my great-grandmother, with spindle legs. It was in pretty rough shape, the top was warped, legs that held up the extensions had fallen off, and the finish was scratched and faded. We also bought 3 small chairs at a flea market that matched fairly well. We had them refinish in the original walnut color and refinish the chairs to match. It was $300.00 for the table, which seemed pretty reasonable sine it was in pretty rough shape. However, he also charged $100.00 for each chair, which seemed a little excessive since they were in pretty good shape, then charged another $50.00 (without calling first) to replace one crosspiece on one chair that had broken.  + 0 moreThe chairs matched a beloved dining table I received from my parents over 40 yrs. ago. We tried to just repair to keep cost low - MANY spindles - but not very successful. Decided to refinish. I was informed of every step by phone and the work was beautiful! Very reasonable pricing and chairs delivered to my home.
Description of Work: Had 6 dining room chairs (oak and pine) refinished.

 + -1 moreTHEY REPAIRED THE STOOLS AS AGREED AND THE WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT. HE WAS VERY CONCERNED AS TO OUR LIKENESS OF HIS WORK ON THE STOOLS. WE HAVE TAKEN THINGS TO HIM SEVERAL TIMES.
