I consulted five arborists before I found Greg Peters of Soaring Eagle. My problem was with towering Hemlocks too close to the house. Everyone of the other arborists told me the problem was insoluble. I could cut down the trees, or I could butcher them, which no responsible arborist would do. Greg was the only person expert enough to realize that the trees had been topped before; he knew about the special qualities of hemlocks as opposed to other trees. Also, his crew managed to cut the trees back so that they look good; virtually nobody can see where they've been pruned back. As a result I trust Greg's judgment entirely, and I'm very grateful to have his advice about planting depth, watering regimes etc.. Also his price for the big pruning job was reasonable, lower than many.

Soaring Eagle's Greg was one of tree arborists whom I consulted about a tricky problem. Not only did he give me the best price, but he was the only certified arborist who actually understood the situation -- namely, that we were dealing with hemlock trees that had previously been topped. This made the situation more dangerous in some respects, since topped trees develop limbs that are not strong. But it also meant that our alternatives were entirely different from those suggested by the other firms I consulted. His staff were as pleasant and considerate as possible. They tried very hard to make the trees look just as I wanted them to, and they succeeded.

Always professional, always on schedule, and a competitive price. We initially called Greg way back when, because we had seen his company's trucks and workers mowing at a house down the street whose yard we admired. We have been pleased with their service, and they are quire responsive when we need something extra done (like an unscheduled mowing before a lawn party, or cleanup when we've gone out of town).

He's an arborist and he's wonderful. He's the guy to call for any tree service. He sees trees like a living being. They saved me $700.00. They were able to take care of the problem without taking down the tree. This guy really knows his stuff. They do a wide variety of work. They do it with a great attitude.
