I had frequent contact with both Matt and Jay before the job was done. Had called around for other estimates but Matt and Jay were by far the most responsive of the bunch, provided a detailed estimate, provided very patient explanations for my questions and adjustments, and offered us a small discount (we had several neighbors who also had estimates, and roofs redone near the same time as my job.) I hate the phone and they did all of their communication with me via email, which I greatly appreciated. We did have brief phone contact on the day of the job, but they were right on top of answering email questions and sending files for estimates and contracts. After I decided to go with RCV, they gave me a date of installation, and a detailed explanation of what they would do, how they would do it, what I should do and what I could expect. They had a weather delay but in fact, were able to complete the job early and and every point of promise on the estimate was met: the yard was inspected and swept for metal, trash hauled away in a timely manner, and everything looks great! Moreover, the gutters solved a lot of my drainage/basement flooding problems that I'd been having. A great relief! They use high-quality materials as well and I was quite pleased with the Owens Corning shingles and the available standard color palettes. A roof replacement/gutter replacement is a big job and they made the whole experience seamless (no pun intended) and pretty easy. Their prices are VERY competitive and they offered a nice winter discount if you got your roof done during the winter months, which I took advantage of as well. As business people, they obviously care a great deal about their customers and the reputation of their business. Overall, I think they are some of the best roofers in Bloomington! I will always recommend them highly to friends and neighbors. Thanks Matt and Jay!

As mentioned above, we received the best possible treatment and product for a good price. We also had two new skylights installed after removing the existing ones. We are impressed with the entire experience.

When we purchased our mid century modern home a couple of years ago we were never sure about how old our roof was. A heavy rainstorm earlier this summer left our large skylight dripping water into our home, along its frame. We knew it was time to find a roofing contractor and get some quotes. We started to do some research about roofing materials and ended up at ABC Supply Company. The sales person whom we spoke with at ABC was very knowledgeable and we were able to ask him all sorts of questions. While in the store, we met a couple of guys who owned their own company and asked them if they could provide a quote. This company was RCV Roofing. They told us then, that they were also licensed representatives for Velux skylights (the only roofing reps in Indiana), and since we knew we needed to replace our old skylights, Velux was our top choice and, they’re the highest rated. That same afternoon, RCV Roofing met us to talk about our project and look at our roof. Jay mentioned they used a satellite measurement device to get accurate readings of the roof and within a day and a half, we received a quote from them. We noticed that RCV roofing had great reviews on Angie’s List, but we wanted to get some quotes from other roofers too. (its an expensive project!) We got 3 other quotes and not only was RCV Roofing the most professional in getting back with us, they were the most cost ?effective for the amount of work! We had several questions and Jay was so conscientious, he immediately and patiently responded to all our inquiries. This type of customer service made us feel comfortable in knowing that this company gets a quality job done. Jay went above and beyond, he showed us the various materials, skylights, roof vents, drip edge, etc, that they would use in the installation of our new roof, and our decision was made. Our experience with RCV Roofing amazed us. I know I keep giving them high praises, but it is well deserved. They told us what we needed to do to prepare for the work, when the materials would arrive; they showed up when they said they would, and they got the job done in a matter of a couple of days! We were concerned with our Japanese garden that flanks 75% of our home, and they took care not to destroy any of our landscaping. They ripped off our old roof by carrying all the torn off materials to the front. Jay’s crew is excellent and he manages them well on the premises. The roof was torn off in 3 hours (our house is one story, so there was a lot of roof area) and both Jay and Matt were there when their crew did the tear?-off. We had some concerns about a part of the roof with the existing rafters and wanted them fixed before they installed the new roof. We were relieved to know that Matt had over 15 years of framing experience. The issues were taken care of and we were shown exactly what they did to repair them. We exchanged a 92 inch skylight with two smaller ones and they needed to be totally re-framed. Jay did the work himself and did a great job. This meant the drywall had to be removed and replaced – Jay contacted a drywall company for us to use. We also had seamless gutters installed by RCV Roofing. They matched the color, "spot on" with the exterior of our house. We had a concern about an area in front of the house and needed our roof to accommodate larger gutters (we were changing from 5” to 6” gutters). Jay and his crew made it work. Because of our style of home, we were concerned about replacing things without damaging our home. Again, if there were any concerns we had while the work was taking place…Jay would deal with the concerns and make it right. In the final walk through, we found 3 small things that needed taken care of –Jay had them done by the end of that day. Jay is great at what he does; knowledgeable, easy to talk with, has excellent customer service skills, is punctual and he always gets things done. He is quality?-driven and action?-oriented, and that meant a lot in our decision about working with RCV Roofing. If we would ever need a new roof again…there is no question that we would use RCV Roofing. We have nothing but positive things to say about the company and will always recommend them to all of our friends and family. Jay and Matt from RCV Roofing took any stress out of this experience, and we know what dealing with stressful contractors is like! Thank you RCV Roofing!!

The contractor provided roofing and siding repairs as required, coordinated with the insurance company and assisted the adjustor during the site inspection. At all times, the contractor provided exemplary service, conducted themselves in a most professional manner, prepared and submitted the paperwork required by the insurance company, all in a timely fashion. The contractor was accessible via phone and email at all times and promptly reported to work as agreed at the specified times and dates. They completed the repairs in less than a day, cleaned up the workplace and made sure all the loose ends were covered before leaving the premises. I definitely rate this contractor the highest for its excellent service and recommend it to all Angie's List users that may require roofing/siding services in the future. The overall cost of the repair was reasonable and well within the insurance company's estimate. Both Matt and Jay were very friendly, accessible, and competent.

At first I was concerned because the appointment was set for 10:00am and no one had shown up by 11:00. I called the provider and was advised that a prior job caused a delay and someone would arrive shortly. By 1:00pm no one had arrived so I called again and discovered that there was a mix-up with clients' names and addresses (they thought they had already been to my house.) Matt, the co-owner, said that he would personally come to do the inspection at a time convenient for me. He arrived around 5:00pm and completed the inspection and minor repairs in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. Both times when I called RCV the conversation with them was polite and professional and they were apologetic for the delay and confusion. I am pleased with the work and the repair apparently has fixed the leak - no problem with the recent rain. I would use RCV again.

My wife and I went to multiple roofing companies for estimates and found the cheapest and most responsive roofing company around Bloomington, IN was RCV Roofing. A family member that works in the field of construction reviewed estimates from all the roofers I went to and stated RCV's was the most comprehensive and detailed. I emailed the owner of RCV, Jay Nelson, perhaps 100+ times with questions and concerns about roofing options and questions of almost every variety possible about roofing and shingles. Mr. Nelson was courteous and patient and informative in guiding my wife and I through the options and costs. RCV was able to get to my house quickly and install was a breeze! His workers were fast at getting the old shingles up and very respectful of my property as they removed the old shingles. Not one bush or lawn gnome was injured! The new shingles went down quickly and despite my decent size roof it took Nelson's people less than one day for tear off (removal & disposal) of the old roof, install of new shingles, and clean up. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Nelson and RCV Roofing, I have already recommended RCV to all my neighbors, friends, and family for all their roofing needs.

;Jay and Matt were very responsive and professional. We have a two story roof and detached garage that the roofing was completed in 2 days. They use quality products and had adequate supervision of their employees. They were very respectful to our property and very polite to us. The cleanup was remarkable. There wasn't a trace to tell they were there except for a beautiful new roof. They do have the selection of colors on their website. We went in to see the samples at their warehouse and found that to be helpful to us to get a true idea of the color of the shingles. We would definitely recommend them to others.

They did a great job. Did whole job in one day. Very large roof. It was a very long day they showed up at 7 am and left at 9pm. Had done roof in two stages. Did front roof 9 months earlier because had some leaks. Put in Roof vent for stove vent and added cricket by the chimney for no extra charge.

RCV repaired a leak coming from the roof. When I first find out about the leak, I had four different contractors come out, including RCV. RCV was the ONLY company that showed up on time or early. The owners, Jay and his brother, were great to work with. They were very straight forward. They were a little more expensive than the other companies but I truly believe their work is higher quality, by far. And when you are dealing with a leak, quality and craftsmanship is vital. When I replace my roof in a few years, definitely found with RCV.

We had our whole roof replaced after we noticed some water damage on our ceilings. Jay and crew were professional and courteous. They gave us a competitive quote, and because they could complete the project immediately, we decided to go with RCV roofing. Jay was very good at communicating the date of the replacement, and was easy to contact. We were very happy with the way the roof turned out and we would definitely recommend them.

We couldn't be happier with the service and work that RCV Roofing company performed for us. We had tried another roofing company prior to this last fall and were extremely unhappy, but RCV showed up when they said they would, gave us an honest inspection of our roofing needs, provided a fair estimate of the costs (and actually stayed within that estimate), and performed what I would consider a huge job in 2-3 days. The owners were extremely professional and friendly. The work crew was very pleasant, and they all appeared to be happy with their jobs(we often heard them singing up on our roof while they worked). And although removing and replacing a roof (especially three layers of old shingles with thousands of nails) is a messy, dirty job, every day when they left you wouldn't have been able to tell that they were there, the clean-up was so phenomenal. The owners came back at the end to inspect the job, and when we pointed out one shingle that looked a bit crooked to us, one of them grabbed a ladder and went up to fix it immediately. Our roof is beautiful, our lawn and landscaping looks just as it did before they started, but even more importantly, we are very pleased with the entire experience. I would recommend RCV Roofing to anyone as an honest, professional, and friendly company to do business with.

Jay from RCV Roofing was very quick to respond to my call, dropping by the same day to take a look at my roof and provide an estimate via email. Then he got the repair done the next day, respecting my time by fixing it while I was at work and sending me an invoice via email. Jay was very courteous and professional, and I appreciated his timely work, especially since rain was due the next day.

Jay was extremely responsive to all calls/inquiries. The job was finished earlier than expected, and the price was better than any other estimate I received. All-in-all, great work.

They put a new roof on in one day and cleaned up everything. They were very quit about doing the job we needed to have it done quickly and they did the job in less than a week from giving us the estimate. We would us RCV roofing again.

Highly recommend RCV. These guys are professional knowledgeable and care about their work. They are out there every day supervising the job and their crews. THey handled all the insurance paperwork and negotiation with the Ins appraiser. I left the house at 8am and their crew of 6 just started tear-off. I was home at 4:30 and not a sign anyone was ever there. I mean no nothing. The yard was spotless. Other than the new roof and the sign in the grass that roof could have been a month old by the looks of the yard. Give them a call, You will be most pleased.
