Description of Work: We are in the process of building and have ordered all of our mill-work from Plum Creek. John Barns is a consummate professional. Given the investment we spent a lot of time researching different cabinet makers and big box stores. PC was much lower in cost but better in both design and quality. We are very happy with our decisions

+ 0 moreA great experience, as always. We've worked with Plum Creek Cabinets since 1993 including a kitchen and bathrooms for a new build and two remodels on another house (2006 and 2012). Through the years we've also had Plum Creek build several custom stand-alone pieces, my favorite being a mission-style china cabinet that has gotten more compliments than I can count. John Barnes (owner) is straight-forward and very helpful in walking us through our various options for any given job, including the pro and cons of various cabinet configurations, woods and finishes, counter top materials, etc. We tell him what we'd like to have and if the estimate comes in over our budget he's quite willing to work with us on ways to get the price within our range. (The estimates are always itemized so it's easy to see how much each aspect of the job will cost.) The work is well organized (John is meticulous about taking his measurements) with lots of attention to detail. John is also a good problem-solver--we've thrown some odd layout requests at him and he always comes through with a solution. When the scope of the project has been decided, John provides detailed plans of the proposed work so that any last-minute adjustments can be ironed out before work begins. The finished products are beautiful and durable--MUCH better than anything you can get at a big box store and at very resonable prices. I HIGHLY recommend Plum Creek Cabinets and would be happy to provide further details if anyone has specific questions.
Description of Work: Custom built: Bathroom - three vanities (largest 98"W, other two are 60"W; price included solid surface counter tops), two medicine cabinets and a small wall cabinet Kitchen - a banquette with drawers (on two sides of the breakfast nook), a built-in (alcove) step-back cabinet Laundry room - two upper cabinets (32"W x 48"H), a lower cabinet (34"W x 36"H; price included solid surface counter top), a tall cabinet (31"W x 96"H divided into a 33"H upper and a 63" lower)

+ -1 morePlum Creek gave us good advice on replacement. Came to our home and measured and consulted with us. The build took a couple of months, as I recall, but was well worth the wait for the quality and finish of the cabinet. They installed with not problems. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: When we got a new refrigerator, we found that our 20 year old cabinet over the fridge was too low and would not accommodate the taller appliance. Plum Creek matched our maple cabinet (wood and style of the doors and handles). I also asked that the cabinet be deeper for more storage. The cabinet matched perfectly and met all of our specifications. One cannot tell that the cabinet is not the original.
