They were hired by my client. I am a home inspector and witnessed this. The crew did not bring a camera, but insisted they could clean the drain back from the manhole in the utility's main sewer. They proceeded to drill a hole in a fitting of the property's main sewer line. Then they hung up the end and could not get it back out. It finally broke off in the sewer line and they would not did it up and fix it. The owner of this company, Paul Young, was completely unwilling to fix this now clogged sewer line and abandoned the home owner and my client. My client's Realtor hired another company to did up the damaged line and repair it.

We were able to schedule this service within a few days of making the call. The plumber arrived on time, did the work well and didn't leave a mess. We are happy and will consider using this company again.

I called them and they came straight out within an hour. I had tried to fix it and had it a mess. When he showed up , he went right to repairing it. He had it done in no time and cleaned up the mess. And it works perfect now.

He is punctual and they are really good at the work they do. All the employees have impressed me with the quality of their work.

They had to rebuild a pipe to hold up my shower head. My home is older and they were unable to replace due to the age, so they rebuilt a brand new one. They are VERY knowledgable and prompt. I think they are priced fairly.

I could not be happier with the work done. They came out very promptly and B.J. and his assistant were very polite, careful not to track in any snow, etc. They dealt with all our issues very quickly and professionally.

A year ago, Young Plumbing came to fix several leaks in two faucets and a toilet. He told me at the time that parts were no longer available for that size toilet and that the faucet may break as rust might have corroded it. When I started to have trouble with another toilet, I just planned to replace both toilets and chose to replace both faucets in the bathroom in addition to the kitchen faucet. I had purchased the sinks and toilets. I thought it went well although I did not expect the price involved. It did take all morning and they were working all the time (master plumber and assistant) . The price might have been normal though.

I called them with a problem, and Mr. Young showed up at the address within 2 hours to resolve the issue. The issue was completely resolved within the same day. I spoke with a woman on the phone who was very responsive to my every need, and then talked to the owner, Paul Young, who was polite, sincere, and let me know exactly what services were performed. He gave me some advice on how to proceed in the future and gave me some pointers on if and when to replace the water heater.

Our rental house was in need of some plumbing work. We called Paul Young based on a previous experience with him. He arrived the next day and promptly fixed the problem.

They did an excellent job, came to see what was causing the plumbing line to leak. Came back the next day and install all new lines from the basement up through the kitchen.

I am doing a master bathroom right now and I am not ever going to take bids, I am going to use them again. They do great work and they did not over charge me. They were really helpful. I did some of the work myself and where I did not have the expertise; their guy showed me and gave me suggestions on what to do. The work they have performed has been excellent and on my master bath, I am going to hire them again.

Arrival was prompt, service complete and thorough and staff was professional and pleasant.

The job went as planned. The sinks were hooked up and the soaking tub was installed, ready for the build-out of the tub surround and front panel. An incidental part of the job required creativity. As part of upgrading our three bathrooms, we had bought three 3-inch brushed nickel nipples, flanges, and shutoffs to replace the corroded chrome pieces. In the event, the 3-inch nipples were too short. The plumbers came up with the simple expedient of merely reversing the existing chrome nipples. Less than an inch of each was visible, and the end in the wall had not corroded. A small thing, but worth noting because it allowed us to avoid chasing down a longer nipple and paying for another visit from the plumbers.

After two very bad experiences with other plumbing companies evaluating my problem, I called Young plumbing to receive an estimate/evaluation of the needed repair. I called the company approximately 10:00 a.m. to schedule an appointment for an estimate and they were able to come that very afternoon after I got off work. My home was built in the 1960s and is on a slab foundation. I had water leaking into the garage floor from the foundation when I would use my washer. I had been informed by previous plumbing companies that the repair would require major disruption to the interior of my home to take care of the repair. The gentleman that came from Young plumbing was able to give me an alternative option for the repair that would not require any damage to the inside of the house and for a very reasonable price. Once the utility lines had been marked, they started the work the very next morning without me having to call and notify them. They arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and I was told by family members present, that they immediately started working. They ran two new sewer lines. One was placed out from the kitchen, connected to a new line they dug and placed outside the house and then connected this to the main sewer line in the front of the house. This also required them to cut through the concrete driveway to place and connect the line as well. The second sewer line was connected to the line for the washer. They ran this through the concrete foundation in the garage and then along the wall in the garage also connecting it to the main sewer line in the front of the house. This was an extremely BIG job requiring them to work in 100 degree temperatures and it was completed within a day and half of work. All the work was finished to perfection. They filled in the concrete they had to dig through on the driveway and also the drain area for the washer and air-conditioner. I could not have asked for more excellent service. Everything from the initial inspection and estimate to the completion of the job was absolutely seamless! It is a great relief to have trust in a company such as this and I will continue to use and highly recommend them to others for any future plumbing needs.

Made arrangements by phone (3 days in advance) to have a plumber come by to replace an outdoor faucet. They gave me a 1-hr time window that I should expect the guy to show up and told me I would also receive a call shortly before the service man arrived. I made it known to them that since I would have to leave work to meet the plumber at the house, it was important they meet the time window I was given; I was assured that would not be a problem. The time window I was given for the plumber's arrival was between 2:00 and 3:00pm, so I left work at 1:30 so I would be there to meet him when he arrived. 2:00 came and went, and then 3:00. At 3:30 no one had arrived and I had still received no communication of any kind, so I called their business number and asked when I should expect the plumber to arrive. After being put on hold for quite a while, the receptionist came back on and said, and quot;I'm sorry, we're going to have to reschedule for tomorrowand quot;. I told her that was not possible, I had already taken the (unpaid) time off work, and I had too many work obligations to allow me to take time off again the following day; if they wanted my business, they needed to have a plumber at least come by on the day they'd promised, even if they were already outside the time window they'd given me. Her reply was, and quot;We can't do that, we'll have to reschedule for tomorrow or maybe next week. I'm sorry...and quot; So the work did not get done, I lost a significant sum of money by taking unpaid time off, and Paul Young Plumbing didn't offer me anything but a hollow apology. I could not in good conscience give them any kind of good recommendation.

Responded the next day after my call. Plumber called when he was minutes away instead of pre-arrangement to call in the morning and let me know an afternoon appointment time.

They are excellent and have been voted the top plumbers in Bloomington. They have been very reliable and do good work. If you have an emergency they make sure they come right away.

Everything went fine. The plumbing for the new sinks extend a bit into a cantilever area where they are vulnerable to freezing in spite of the insulation in the joist space. To address that, the plumbers protected the pipes in the cantilever area with three sleeves of pipe insulation. They also installed shut-offs upstream from the exposed area so the water could be turned off in the event of frozen or burst pipes. It remains to install the new soaking tub and sinks in the remodeled master bath.

I contacted this provider to fix a shower not maintaining it's temperature. I set the appointment for 3 PM Friday the 19th of December. I had friends coming in for the Holidays. I waited in all afternoon and they never showed or called. Frustrated I didn't bother to call them back because I no longer wanted to use a company that treated me this way. Monday morning, a knock on the door and it was them. They said they tried to call me several times on Friday and received no answer. I told him I was in all afternoon and not only didn't receive a call, there was no message left on the machine. He said he was here now, and I told them I know longer wanted their services. Later I checked caller ID and there was no call from them. DO NOT USE this company. I also spoke to others who told me of horrible experiences they had with this company and to consider myself lucky they didn't show on Friday.

It went great. They just came in and did the work. Both stages had to be scheduled tightly. The site had to be prepared for them, and their work was essential to subsequent work by other trades. They made the schedule work perfectly--a critical ability when several trades are involved. Because the pop-up drains for the vessel sinks were not quite as long as they should have been, some creative improvising was necessary. They made it work.

This was the quickest and most responsive plumber I have ever encountered. I discovered that my hot water heater had broken and was spilling water all over the basement around 10:30 am. After shutting off the water I called 3 plumbers in town. One said they could get there in about 10 days. Another didn't answer the phone and called back that evening. Paul Young gave me an estimate and details of a new hot water heater over the phone, discussed the pros and cons of different hot water heating systems with me and had a new hot water heater delivered to my house at 12 noon. The person on the phone said the workers would be there around 2:00 or as soon as possible to install it. They showed up around 1:45 and were finished and everything cleaned up by 3:00. I had hot water to wash dishes and take a shower that evening. When I did hear back from the other plumbers (after the work was completed) there price was no better than Paul Young. I would highly recommend this plumber and will continue to use them for all my plumbing needs.

I have used him several times. My overall experience with him has been excellent. He does a good job.

Everything went fine. BJ, the Paul Young employee who has done work for us for ten years, arrived on time, had the necessary material and tools, and did the job quickly and efficiently. Knowing that we would be at home when he came and that we know the job requirements and can provide additional eyes and hands, he came alone, thus saving us the cost of a plumber's assistant. Although the plumber's responsibility ends when the burners work, he stayed and helped locate the stove precisely in its final location.

I made the appointment days in advance. I called back and confirmed that they would not charge me for travel time. The day of the service, I stayed home from work because the appointment was in the morning. I got a voice message saying the plumbers were at my house sitting in my driveway waiting for me when they had not yet arrived. When they arrived, they did the work I asked them to, but they did not clean up after themselves. There was a black film of dust over everything in my bathroom--sink, shelves, towels, toilet paper, and toothbrush. And they charged me for travel time. When I inquired, the plumber told me to call the office. Because I was late to work, I ran out and called from the office and was told the bill would be corrected. When I asked about the black dust, the employee said she had no idea what it could be. I just wanted her to know what had happened so future customers could be told to expect the dust and remove all bathroom items. Later at home, I realized that there was black sewer gunk splattered all over the walls and floors not only of the bathroom but also the hallway. It was disgusting. I called about that--not to ask for any discount or clean up but just to let them know-- and the employee said she didn't know what I wanted. I explained I didn't want anything other than to say that I was very disappointed. She said the plumber didn't ask me if I wanted it cleaned up because (1) my bathroom "wasn't all that clean to begin with" and (2) they didn't think I wanted to pay for the clean up. I tried to explain that the bathroom was filthy and I didn't think I deserved to have it left in that condition but she hung up on me. I gave up. Weeks later, the manager left a message because they couldn't find my payment information, so I called back to give it to her. I told my situation to the manager who said she would inquire about the charge for travel time. When my credit card bill came, I was still charged for the travel time. More important, It took me three hours to get all of the bathroom and hallway surfaces clean AFTER I threw lots of things away. What outraged me the most was being called dirty and cheap as if I deserved to have my bathroom and hallway left in that condition. It was wholly unprofessional and inappropriate and very disappointing.

They are timely, professional and they give advice. The prices are good. I would highly recommend them to other people.
