They're very professional. They have quality work. They're good in all phases of construction and came highly recommended by a friend of mine. It was kind of expensive but it's very hard to find good work and I would still recommend them to someone else.
Description of Work: I used the chimney sweep service of McArdle & Company Inc.

After they did such a good job on our kitchen last October, we had them work on our foyer. Dave and crew were there on time every day and very clean. Took about a week including all the painting and bad weather. They did a great job, not much else to say. Everything looks like it was built with the house. Very pleased.
Description of Work: Made a half-wall and new banister in the foyer.

For our kitchen remodel, the main goal was to remove a load bearing wall - something I didn't feel comfortable with doing myself. I called Dave for an estimate. He showed up on time, took a look around and was able to provide a rough estimate very quickly. In addition to the wall removal, he was able to provide recommendations for other parts of the remodel and provide advice and suggestions for the remodel as a whole. We discussed the project and decided to do the whole thing at once rather than just the wall at first and then cabinets, floor, etc later as I originally intended. He said it would be better to do it at once rather than have the project drag on for months. He was great about coordinating and working with other providers to get things to run as smoothly as possible. We went with Tommy D's for cabinets and countertops and CarpetPlus Colortile for floors. Dave had previously worked with both companies. He was able to map out a timeline for the project based on his contact with them and knowledge about their typical timelines (when the cabinets would come in after they were ordered, how long floors would take, etc.) He worked very closely with Caitlin from Tommy D's to make sure the cabinets would fit and work properly towards our end goal. When construction began, Dave was present most of the time and worked closely with his crew. His two guys, Kenneth and Ben, were both very nice and professional. Everyone was on time, promptly at 8am every morning. They laid drop cloths over all the carpet and stairs and were extremely clean. I would say that the room was probably cleaner after they left the first day than it was before they began. They took down our walls and installed a huge beam for support. Dave measured and talked to his supplier to make sure the beam would be sufficient and would also fit through the door (something I hadn't considered). We ran into several problems, but the guys were very good about explaining what was going on and what needed to be done. They found a vent pipe inside the wall that they needed to move. They also rerouted all the electrical, moved light switches, etc. They were great about working with us if something needed to be done that wasn't in the original plans. For example, we needed an extra outlet put into our island which wasn't in the original drawings. They also installed the sink because it needed to be installed before the countertop guys could measure, even though the sink install wasn't originally part of the deal. Towards the end of the project, we needed them to paint the walls and it was no problem to add that on to the project so far into it. The drywall patching and touch up took a little longer than was anticipated, but it turned out really well. At one point, after our new appliances were installed, we realized one of the cabinets would need to be changed. Dave figured out a solution and worked with the cabinet people to get that taken care of. Overall, the guys were really nice, clean, and did a great job. They were able to stick pretty closely to the timeline that was initially set, despite a couple of hangups. It was a very pleasant experience and our kitchen looks great (though we're still waiting on countertops). Will be using them for future projects. Would highly recommend.
Description of Work: Removed load bearing wall. Moved vent pipe. Installed support beam. Removed cabinets, installed new cabinets. Patched drywall. Minor electrical. Painting. Installed sink, faucet, garbage disposal. Installed temporary counter tops while we wait for the permanent ones.
