He did a bad job on our roof and siding. We found scratches on our siding, did not install trimming around the windows and doors, put pencil marks on our roof, and shot screw holes in the roof and then silicone them up. I would not recommend Brandon Matlock Construction in Bloomington to anyone.

It went really well. Brandon and his crew stripped everything off of the roof, replaced some of the sheathing, and put on a new set of weatherproofing and dimensional shingles. Not only that, but he put in a roof vent (there wasn't one before) and checked all the soffits to ensure good airflow in the attic. He also added a small covered awning to my front porch above the door, and hung a Japanese-style rain chain off of it. Brandon was really responsive and helpful in answering all of my questions, which I had many since it was the first time I'd ever had to get my roof replaced.

They came and they fixed it. All good.

Scope of the project: complete roof tear-off, replacing any damaged roof decking, install quality Owens Corning shingles, remove old vents and install (4) new metal roof vents, remove old chimney cap and patch hole, remove and replace gutters and downspouts. Remove all waste materials. I received (6) quotes for the job and all Contractors made a site inspection. Brandon Matlock was the 2nd. Contractor to visit and quickly set himself apart from the others by suggesting I not replace the metal vents but instead add a low profile ridge vent. None of the other Contractors mentioned a ridge vent until prompted by me. His quote was the most detailed and had a (7) year workmanship warranty, his price was also very competitive and I decided to go with Matlock Construction & Roofing. I was not disappointed. His crew arrived on time and Brandon made all the arrangements for a dumpster and the delivery of all the roofing materials. Work began and right away some unexpected water and insect damage was discovered. Mr. Matlock quickly advised me of a solution, replacing all the fascia boards, requiring a trip to a local lumber company. He returned with high quality cedar boards. This really impressed me. The work crew was polite and courteous and focused on their work. The clean-up was outstanding! The gutters and downspouts were installed (2) days after the roof was completed and the work was perfect! Conclusion: I'm a 65yr. old professional, very fussy and demanding as a customer and Matlock Construction & Roofing not only delivered as promised a quality roofing job, but showed a level of expertise and craftsmanship that is a great value to any consumer looking for an excellent roofing Contractor. I plan on using this fine Company for other remolding projects on Maher's cabin. My new roof looks fantastic and I'm very satisfied with my decision to use Matlock Construction & Roofing.
