LARRY GILLILAND STUMP REMOVAL

He did a good job, but charged $550 which was substantially more than other people reported. But, I think he's the only person in Bloomington doing this so we used him. He did do a very good job, but the price did not include removed the debris, which I had to pay $200 to have removed. I learned that you should not reuse the tree material as mulch because it will leach nutrients from the soil.

Very professional in all areas. Returned calls promptly, let me know when there was a delay due to heavy rain the night before. Very fair price for the work. One tree was right over a gas line and Larry was careful to avoid the line while being able to completely remove the roots and stump. The crew completely cleaned up after themselves and removed all debris. Great company and fast, efficient service. I highly recommend Larry Gilliland.

I had a 3.5 foot diameter maple tree stump in my back yard that was getting in the way of my planned driveway and carport project. However, when I started digging around the base to expose the roots, I realized this project was more than a chainsaw and backhoe could handle -- we are talking massively thick roots. Time to get a professional. I called Larry on Monday morning and left a message. A couple hours later that same day he called me back, came out to see the stump, quoted me $500, and we agreed on $450 cash. He showed up the next day (Tuesday) and had ground out the stump in a roughly six-foot diameter and six inches below grade within a few hours. Highly satisfied. Friendly and professional, I would recommend him to others.

I called Larry Gilliland and had his estimate the following day. He completed the work two days later, as promised, and did an excellent job. Larry is an honest, friendly person and it was a pleasure doing business with him. Highly recommended.

Larry is great!! He arrived as promised and got the job done. I plan on calling him within the next few weeks for another job!!

Larry was quick to respond and was able to come by and give me a quote the same day. He was cleaning up what was left of a tree and stump that was left by another tree service . He gave me a very fair price for the work that needed to be completed . I absolutely recommend him and will call him first for any more work I need to have done .

MONDAY - Called Larry to get an estimate on cutting some trees and stump removal talked to his wonderful and courteous secretary around Noon , Larry called me back around 3:00p.m and came over to the house around 5:00p.m to give me the estimate, all on the same day ! When Larry came over I was immediately at ease , and Larry was very Helpful and Courteous in manner and very Fair in price and willing to work with you on estimate ! * I want to say I called another local Big Tree Cutting Company first due to a neighbors recommend , Big Mistake and a waste of time , this Big Tree Cutting Company priced this Job over $3,000.00 MORE than what Larry's estimate * So in other words Larry saved me $3,000.00 ....Thanks Larry ! THURSDAY - Larry and his Crew came promptly at 9:00am , backed his truck very carefully around my AC Unit and House , started cutting trees and laying them down away from my neighbors fence, very impressed on how careful and fast they worked . Larry and his Crew got done cutting trees at 12 Noon took a lunch break , took tree chips to be off loaded and then came back around 1:00pm proceeded to ground all the tree stumps and bush roots , I must say Larry was so careful with his stump removal to not cut into a underground electric line that was going right thru my line of trees . * F.Y.I , before this tree cutting job I called 811 in Indiana and got all my utilities marked so Larry knew where they were located ! * I want to say Larry and his Crew were so professional , courteous , nice and done the job just the way I planned , also took time to remove some stocked piled tree limbs I had placed in my fireplace , also took time to level out and rake dirt over where stumps were removed . It was wonderful. He did a really good job. He took down the trees on Monday and came back the very next morning and within an hour or 2 he had all the brush and debri removed. He is a very nice man. His helpers were very pleasant as well. I was really pleased with him. I have talked to a lot of people here in Bloomington and everyone knows him. Everyone that has had him do work has liked him a lot.

Called Mr. Gillliland for an estimate which he did as he scheduled with me. We agreed on the service, price and date of removal. We communicated a couple days before the removal date to discuss the potential weather threats. He planned to arrive at our home to start the work at 9am and arrived 20 minutes early! He and his assistant worked together very efficiently and had the tree down and all work completed and gone within a few hours. Larry Gilliland is a very pleasant thorough individual. I would use him again and would recommend him to family and friends.

I only wish I'd been able to have him clean it all up! He was great to work with.
