They did a very good job and offered suggestions to accomplish the goal with lower cost. The work was done as stated, they cleaned up after they were done and we're very happy with the results. The owner even found someone for us to do the work his company doesn't do. We would definitely use this company again in the future.

Our "handyman" needs come in spurts - sometimes several a year, then nothing for a year or so. We haven't needed General Repair since last summer. We have been using them since 2005, and have been very satisfied. I marked the "punctuality" only a B because they do NOT always come when they say they will - but they do call and keep in touch, and reschedule. Our first project with them was replacement of the post for our large rural mailbox (or maybe it was both the post AND mailbox???). That work was done by a young man, whom I did not see much, since he was working outdoors. Since then we've had a very pleasant somewhat older guy, who has been able to "think outside the box" and do things I either would not have thought of, or not thought possible. Since General Repair IS good, and pleasant to work with, they are BUSY. Sometimes when I've left a message on their VoiceMail, the recording has said that they are only able to do work for "old customers" - but fortunately WE are old customers. The guy has done rather minor things (like hanging a heavy picture we had received as a gift) and fairly complex electrical stuff, and sometimes it's been surprising what he WAS able to do. When the "chandelier" over our dinette table started to go bad, he suggested I buy a new one, and he would put it up. I looked and looked (both online and locally) and did not like anything I saw as well as the old one we already had. He estimated his labor charge for taking down the old one, rewiring it, and putting it back up - and it was less than the prices for the new fixtures that I MIGHT have been willing to live with, but which were not as nice as the old stained glass one. So, we did it that way, and it's been over seven years now, and the light works beautifully - and looks beautiful and fits with the original decor of the house.

Last summer he transformed a dark, dingy, wet basement room into a bright hobby room. New ceiling, lights, outlets, and walls I love it. He also noticed my hoses on my washing machine needed to be replaced and did that.

I have one handyman who I have used from here and he does different stuff for me like putting up shelves for my library. I recommend them because, they do detailed, conscientious work, they are professional and their price is fair. I rate them highly. I would use them again in the future if needed.
