I am Jaclyn, the Clutter Wrangler and I am a professional organizer. I know it sounds strange but I have a special gift for organizing! What’s more—I love doing it, my clients are surprised by how much fun they have dealing with their clutter. I can help you, too. I can cut through your clutter and disorder and create a functional, inviting space that will clear your head and create a sense of well-being in your life. I can organize any project or any room in your home. This may include the kitchen, bedrooms, family room, dining room or children’s room. Storage areas like closets, the basement, attic, garage, workshop or studio. For home offices we can go through all paperwork, filing, and office supplies. Then deal with how to make your systems and the actual space more conducive to productivity.

Services we don't offer

I have operated my business for thirteen years exclusively by bicycle so needless to say, I do not remove the clutter from your home but I can help you pack up your car and tell you which charity in town would be happy to give a new life to your unwanted items.

Excellent! I can’t say enough about how much Jaclyn Ray saved the day with her amazing Clutter-Wrangling skills! In the jungle of resources on home organization and decluttering Jaclyn utilized a comprehensive, collaborative and clear path to navigate through our piles disarray and mayhem. She is a masterful guide in cultivating necessary skills for organizing spaces small or large in order to have a less stress filled home, office, garage, etc! On days when I felt overwhelm and embarrassed by my clutter she was able to diligently and shamelessly guide the process forward. She normalized without minimizing concerns in a manner that turned my negative energy into newfound motivation to continue. She was steadfast in maintaining the right balance with a nonjudgmental, yet outcomes-oriented approach required to get the job done in a timely manner. She consistently gauged the right pace- for the targeted space, but also was willing to shift gears when I needed her to. Using practical methods of alternating between decluttering and creative organizing, Jaclyn lead me through the necessary steps for sorting through, setting up filing systems, storage that worked for what we had and figured out homes for things we no longer used. As I became less frazzled/scattered and more organized during the hectic period of downsizing to a smaller home. Her competence and caring became contagious as my spouse and family soon caught the de-cluttering-bug and benefited from having more organized Systems in closets, cupboards and even countertops. Our walk in bedroom closet was a nightmare before she came. In fact I didn’t even want her to see it and was tempted to cancel that day. Glad I didn’t, b/c it was not only very productive (we got through the whole closet in one 3 hour session:) and ended being a very cathartic process! She was direct about what needed doing, yet also empathic/encouraging for me (a retired psychotherapist no less!) as she helped reframe some of my own neg thinking about clutter, and replace with compassion, action and ultimately enough confidence to put our house on the market. Prior to considering the latter challenge, my spouse and I realized we’d have to sort through and purge things we had accumulated from over 30+ years— not to mention our adult children and elderly parents items that had piled up in our basement and garage. Jaclyn not only streamlined the whole process for us, but she was also instrumental in helping us stage our home before our first open house. She would work well with any realtors office as her creative input was just as good, if not better than advice given from them. Our house sold quicker then anticipated which allowed us to focus on the construction of a smaller home to better suit our needs. We are now settled in to our new home which Jaclyn also helped us with the unpacking, organizing and overall set-up for new storage systems... One of my fav Wrangling sessions, from which I finally have time to reep the benefits, focused on multiple shelves and boxes filled with my collection of piano books and sheet music. With Jaclyn‘s help I was able to organize and fill several large three-ring binder‘s with sheet music. She created table of contents and labels for each binder and book categories. Piano books were organized according to style of music/era, instrumental vs. vocal, etc., and placed in easily accessible and wooden magazine holders for which she made labels with the label maker that she brings with her. Jaclyn spearheaded and expedited this whole creative endeavor, knowing it was a goal I held near and dear to my heart for a long time. Now I can actually locate what I’m looking for and enjoy one of my favorite pastimes—#Music-therapy@my fingertips. With humor, warmth, and a gift for turning chaos into clearness, I got more than I bargained for. Jaclyn’s intuitive motivational skills toward goal-attainment, provided us with overall better living conditions in both our homes. Be it for our work or play, in rooms used night or day, we became organized after hiring Prof Organizer and Clutter Wrangler—Jaclyn Ray. Re: her 3-hour minimum, for me it not only worked well, but on days where I wanted to dive deeper into areas, I could book her for 4 or more hour sessions. In fact, a secondary gain to having this minimum amt of time set up in advance, was that I was more motivated just prior to our scheduled Wrangling sessions...So I got a great deal more accomplished the day or two or even in the couple few hrs just before she arrived! Bottom line is we never could have done it w/o her.

On Jan. 18th I sent an email to meet her and earlier she had explained she uses a bicycle for transportation and would need a ride. I offered to pick her up to meet and assess my needs. She stated she had the use of a car temporarily. She would need to get paid for her time at a minimum of three hours and this is even before she gets hired to do the job. Oh my.... What a sense of entitlement !!! This job calls for an extreme amount of trust and flexibility. Her people skills need help. Do yourself a favor and hire one of the other three vendors available in Monroe County.
Description of Work: HOME ORGANIZATION I contacted Jaclyn before Thanksgiving and tried to set up a time. She had only one time available on Dec. 5th. People need help close to Christmas to get ready for family visits and since my plans were to travel, we agreed to wait till 2015.

It was excellent. They're very productive. They've done the tasks and they got the job done. She's very reliable and she's on the task. They charge $35 an hour.
