 + 0 moreDid not show up when they said they would be there. Have had to hire other contractors to repair the faulty work they did. Very disappointed in their work. Steps were glued with faulty glue and he admitted it but would never come back to make it right .

Description of Work: Back yard hard and softscape. Complete removal of previous failed hardscape installation of a contractor who walked off the job. Work was deemed structurally unsound and unusable by a structural engineer. That contractor was paid more than 14,000. Clarks tore out all previous work. We were able to reuse the pavers. Clarks designed and installed a beautiful 800 sqft paver patio and landscape. We could not be happier with the work and design.

 + -1 moreI received the estimate that we agreed upon by email about 10 days later. Then I never heard from him again. After 2 weeks, I called the office number and asked when the work would be scheduled and was told that Andy would call me to let me know. No phone call was received in the next week. I then emailed him directly and asked again about scheduling the work. He never responded. I needed this work done before I could have some other construction done in the yard and I have wasted over a month waiting on a company who is too unprofessional to even return calls or email.
Description of Work: Andy Clark came out to give me an estimate for yard work. We agreed on a price and he said that he would schedule the work within one week, two at the latest.

 + 0 moreIt was an excellent experience. From my first contact with Andy to set up a quote, everything happened quickly and professionally. He came out, was very easy to talk to, took measurements, and I had a quote in just a few days. Once I decided to use Clark's based on my comfort level and the price, they were out and working about a week later. The crew that came out was fast, efficient, and very courteous. I asked for a few minor adjustments along the way -- nothing was wrong, more of a "hey, now that I'm thinking about it..." kind of thing -- and they were happy to make the changes. They were done quickly and the finished work looks great. I'm thrilled with how everything turned out.
Description of Work: Tore out old railroad ties and built a new retaining wall from 6x6s, laid river rock behind wall as requested, leveled a (large) low spot in the front yard, and placed two yards of woodchips around a garden area.

 + -1 moreI phoned this service on Sept 3 early morning. Tammy said " I will put you on the mowing list and Andy will call you back" I never heard from them. I called again Sept 5, and a man answered who said he didn't know anything and did not work there, he was just answering the phone for Tammy. He said he would get the message to her. They never called, never mowed. I called on Sept 6 and nobody answered.

 + -1 moreSeemed pricey but I was told he had access to fertilizer that most other companies couldn't purchase. Treated lawn a couple of times for 250.00 per application. I wasn't too impressed with the results. Called to schedule another treatment to give him another chance...they never showed up.

 + 0 moreThe work was done well and I feel good about the quality of the labor. Also, I felt like the foreman was a pleasant and courteous person to interact with. The original price he quoted was $600 and then we he came out a second time it was $1700. I'm not sure if he just incorrectly estimated the cost the first time but then the second quote came as a bit of a surprise. I know in the busy summer season you need to be flexible and he did have to push back the date on the job a couple of times. Could have been in a little better contact, but nothing crazy. I would get competing bids from reputable landscapers - of course - and if his bid is competitive then I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: Clark Landscaping completed work at our home on a patio and they did a great job. After that initial burst of excellence, the quality of their work went downhill. We contracted them to re-sod our from yard. The new grass looked great for a month or so, then it all died. They stated it may have been partly their fault by using the wrong mower. They did nothing about the dead grass. They also mowed all of our grass last summer and each time they did a terrible job by not blowing and cleaning up cut grass. They also did not honor a guarantee for several plants that died around our patio...they actually asked to pay half of the cost for replacements. We started getting invoices seemingly at random so, we visited their offices on Ketcham Road, Bloomington to see if we could make better sense of their invoicing practices. Even during our visit, their bookkeeping seemed scattered and haphazard. We then started to carefully review all invoices and they did end up okay. However, we will not use their services again.

Clark's team took down all the brush on a couple of hillsides, trimmed and shaped some bushes, lopped off some tree branches that were in the way, and cut the grass (which had become quite long). From what I have seen so far, every part of this project was done professionally. I had marked several plantings that were to be left alone; not only did they do a good job of that, but they also left some other plants that were important but that I hadn't marked. They did all the brush work in one day, and came back the next day to mow the lawn. The yard hasn't looked this good in years. My only regret is that I didn't call Clark's years ago.

Doesn't mow too often or not enough, is careful with trimming and leaving clippings, and even with a 4 year old and all of his related stuff, they've only run over a toy one time, and were very professional about it. Also have been very helpful on a heavily wooded lot with leaf removal.
